@Mitch - While you can certainly get two students to go do "Stables Duty" and take care of horses. There is no horse back riding in game aside from pairing up with on a horse.
Good article. I hope next time the side stuff is maybe more pick and choose as the monastery takes a while. Of course playing with no new game+ makes it much faster.
It's a foolish waste of money. I have never heard of anyone wanting said change so I assume Shareholders are your main one there. It seems dumb to link your store's name to the failing company as well but again likely Shareholders.
As for GameStop exclusives we typically still got something in Canada. For example the original Diamond and Pearl pre order we got a DS case instead of the stylus topper. To me it means the end of this year instead of looking for what is EB Games exclusive I will have to look for the GameStop exclusives based on country and I am sure that will be easy to discover (eye roll).
Roofs lighting on fire is awful. Happened to my wooden house on my server. I managed to stop the fire at 2/3rds destruction of a 2 story home. Then rebuilt the roof with a mix of warped and crimson fungus as it won't burn up. Lighting rods are going to be a blessing on future projects.
I suspect Switch Pro is actually the Switch successor at this point. They will put it off till they are ready and likely wait for the chip shortage to stop.
I won't be picking them up. I don't want to buy an easy mode combo pack. I would rather the challenge of finding power ups in game and not taking taking the edge off the difficulty.
While I prefer the prime games this pleases me to exist and I'm quite excited by a day 1 pick up. The question I need to make a call on is regular or special edition. What a way to slip a surprise for the Metroid 35th anniversary .
Ah memories. My first random shiny was a Weedle in Pokemon Silver on a new game file I had just made before I even met Professor Oak. So no pokeballs. I much younger me ran hoping to find it again but of course no such luck.
I see a random shiny again until Gen 5 while ev training. I got a shiny durddigon which I caught and have in one of my games somewhere. Likely X but I am not sure.
This is one I saw someone have many years ago but never picked up myself. It's one I have debated tracking down someday but never got around to. Nice to hear it is solid.
Teslagrad was fun back on Wii U. The bosses are a bit of a learning curve but they aren't too terrible once learned.
I think it was the second last boss that have me the most trouble figuring out. The game could have used an extra hit for bosses but it is well crafted.
I said slow news day. When I first saw it I said, "Purple". Because if anything it is a blue-purple with a lean towards blue but whatever people feel like.
The game is easier in that auto crafting, only needing one item instead of two, not needing drinks to help regulate temperature in extreme environments, smarter hit boxes, flexible buddy choices to fit one's play style. As well as better hit boxes as I had a Tigrex simply step over me during a charge attack that would have hurt me and sent me rolling in 4U or GenU.
So basically more streamlined, better/more options for the player. And in my opinion the difficulty curve is much cleaner, with it feeling like a ramp over steps to climb.
It also might help that they removed a lot of quests that were repeats. Hunting the same monster in the new environment is mostly gone. As are some of the gathering quests that filled up the quest lists, instead using the optional subquests to encourage you to gather plants and rocks. Leaving a few around to get you to search out some local resources.
Working with Heavy Bowgun to get a better mastery of a ranged weapon. I will get back to my Charge Blades and maybe Lance's later. Insect Glaive was one I toyed with in 4U but my brother played it so there wasn't much point for me to use it.
I am planning on messing around with Hunting Horn, Insect Glaive, and Gunlance later to get better diversity in my weapons
I mostly catch, it ends hunts faster and has better odds of rare parts. I am aware that some parts are quest reward/break/carve only so I'll head out to kill in those cases of needing those parts and because they are more common I need to do less of those hunts. So I plan to keep on capping most of the time.
It was a delight. I have a full set of completed puzzles or at least ones we got in Canada. We use to have an active meet up group from 2011 to about 2018/2019 that would get together play 3ds and together we worked on and finished the puzzle collection.
I believe when the pandemic ends I will see about getting it back together for a 1 off of gaming.
I do miss the hot drinks, and cold drinks. It feels wrong entering an area without them. Especially as we could now enter a base camp to pick them up if we ran out or forgot.
Paintballs and pyscoserum being gone I miss less. It feels less strange not needing to mark monsters. At least there is no "go this way" arrow from the demo.
I also find it odd not needing various items for crafting.
However the game is as you say. More streamlined and pleasant to play.
I loved the sword play once I got use to deliberate attacks rather than mash or fail and it felt good.
I enjoyed the world and beat regular mode, hard mode I think I am in the second round of temples but it has been sometime. I am hoping they show something new for it to help push me to a repurchase.
I used a lot of charge Blade on the demo as it was my main in 4U and Gen U but they really changed up how it feels so I am not sure I will stick to it.
Might be time to return to the Lance. Though I am considering mixing it up and using a couple weapons this time around to diversify. Go with Heavy Bowgun, Lance, Gunlance, Hunting Horn, and Charge Blade (If I can get use to it).
My own guess was they are highlighting the "3" in 3D by having three games. I wouldn't be surprised by a galaxy bundle in the future having both together.
Of the theories here I think the time crunch one causing it to be cut out sounds most likely. I wouldn't be surprised if these were single releases as downloads in the future.
I played the Medabots RPGs on Gameboy Advance that came out. So many hours burned on multiple files. Learning strategies and figuring the games out. I beat Rokusho version, played the post game. Pretty sure one of the post game areas glitched but I think I finished it all. Just never collected everything. Maybe I should get back on them again but they are very long games.
Seeing as I still have a functional copy of Blue Rescue Team on the DS with lots of hours on it and most pokemon collected/adventuring done. I'm likely not buying it again at $91 after tax.
Quite pleased with this one. Happy surprise to see a Three Houses character and the timing before the dlc season pass Three Houses part 4 update info was well timed.
Well this is exciting. I guess it is soon time to get back to crafting some Mario levels.
This Master Sword power up reminds me of a flash game where you played Super Mario Bros. as different 8 Bit Nintendo characters with there own tricks. It was very basic comparably to what they are showing off here but it does bring some excitement to some future possibility. Samus with Ice beam for freezing foes in place? Pit with short flight? Wario with his wario land 3 move set? I'm curious to see if they do, do more with this.

Re: New Pokémon Snap Is Getting More Areas And Pokémon In Free Update
That's pretty sweet. I almost picked it up before but now I will reconsider and perhaps get it. I wasn't expecting expansions.

Re: Rejoice, Black Leather Pants Are Coming To Monster Hunter Rise
@Northwind - It is most unfortunate but can happen. I assume the odds favour 2, then 3, than 1 being the least likely.
Re: Rejoice, Black Leather Pants Are Coming To Monster Hunter Rise
You're welcome! Also lucky you getting 3 each go!
Re: Rejoice, Black Leather Pants Are Coming To Monster Hunter Rise
@Damien you get 1-3 wild dark leather from completing the quest. I have received 1-2 where as my roommate has gotten 2-3 for a clear.

Re: Talking Point: Why Metroid Dread Will Be Worth $60
Going to be paying 80 dollars before tax and I am still okay with that price.
Samus Returns on the 3DS was fantastic and I look forward to seeing Metroid 5. Not scared by the E.M.M.I. yet.

Re: The Metroid Dread Special Edition Set Is Looking A Bit Tasty
Certainly considering the special edition. This is exciting to see a rumored game, believed dead, back from the grave.
Re: Soapbox: The Zelda: Breath of The Wild 2 Trailer Is Already Spawning Theories
Its interesting that link has two different hair styles in the trailer.
Any time they are around sky islands link has the long or upbraided hair.
Any time they seem to be on the ground he has the little pony tail going on instead.
I would suspect something involving two characters or two realities is at play. The hair might be a factor to help differentiate the two.

Gave it to Grape. The colour I own. Though Teal was also one I liked.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 3rd)
A bit later but I am eorking through Monster Hunter Rise. Almost done all of single player.
As well as broke out my new copy of Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion to play. A board game, blasphemy I know. ;P

Re: Poll: Do You Like The Chibi Art Style In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl?
Looks terrible. I wasn't planning on picking up the remake. Now I will not be picking up the remakes for sure.
Let's Go style, HD original, and likely several other options would have looked far better.

@ShadJV I was shocked the article didn't have the mythological connection. Glad to see some in the comments knew the myth that makes it less random.
Re: Capcom Reveals Average Completion Time For Monster Hunter Rise Demo Quests
I am reasonably sure I killed the great Izuchi within 10 minutes or less. Mizustune took about 40.
I am sure if I had played world I would have done better as the weapons seem to be based on how they played in that game.
Re: Capcom Reveals The Most Used Weapon In The Monster Hunter Rise Demo
Interesting top three there.
I used a lot of charge Blade on the demo as it was my main in 4U and Gen U but they really changed up how it feels so I am not sure I will stick to it.

Re: Poll: Have You Won A Game Of Super Mario Bros. 35?
Won my 6th game on opening night. Haven't played it much past that first weekend.
Re: Breath Of The Wild Players Will Receive A Bonus Training Sword In Hyrule Warriors
The fact that small extra is based on if someone got the switch version is a tad annoying.
Re: Feature: Video Game Vocab To Spark Forum Wars - Ten Of Gaming's Trickiest Terms
Beat or finished for me comes down to sometimes how I'm feeling and sometimes down to what the end of the game required, or even how I feel about it.
Completed is 100%. I don't make it to that as much as I like.

Re: Poll: Vote For Your Favourite Fire Emblem Games
Three Houses, Awakening, and Fates (Conquest). Honestly though I could have swapped Fates for Blazing Blade or Sacred Stones depending on the day.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger 5?
Quite pleased with this one. Happy surprise to see a Three Houses character and the timing before the dlc season pass Three Houses part 4 update info was well timed.

What a lovely idea.
Re: New Nintendo Website Shows Your 2019 Switch Gaming Stats (North America)
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Minecraft

Interesting list. 1198 hours over the year with most of them on my vacation post Fire Emblem Launch. Good times.
