While the Wii U eShop wasn't graced with a large library of quality games, there were some undeniable gems. One of these was Teslagrad by Rain Games, which has since made its way to the Switch eShop, and the developer has also brought out World to the West since. The studio's most recent title, Mesmer, is currently on Steam, and just recently it shared the exciting news that work is underway on Teslagrad 2.
The Norwegian studio has given us some quality games and it's now celebrating its ten year anniversary. There's a neat trailer below for the occasion, and it's also worth noting that celebratory discounts are on the way to the Switch eShop as well.
The discount event is due to start on 28th April and run until 5th May, with 70% off Teslagrad and 50% off World to the West. The studio is also planning to "give our fans never before seen insight into the World of Rain, friendly prices, and celebrations" along with "some new information" on upcoming games. It'll be worth keeping an eye on @rain_games for updates.
Let us know in the comments if you're a fan of Rain Games and the current Switch titles, or if you're tempted to give them a try when the anniversary discount go live.

I love Teslagrad. I have beaten it several times on Wii U. Maybe I should pick it up on Switch on sale.
It's got some great puzzles (particularly if you go for 100%). I also like that it's a reasonably short Metroidvania because it makes it fun to speedrun.
I remember playing Teslagrad on wii U. I got mad because the bosses made cheap attacks making it a trial and error game. Made a mean comment on their miiverse and they replied to it. I felt so bad... dont be mean on the interwebs kids!
Teslagrad was on my wish list for so long. But, i heard about the boss fights and i deleted it. But 70% off is a good deal . . .
The boss fights ruined it for me. In my opinion, the final boss still stands as the worst final boss I've ever played in a video game (I've beaten over 800 games, so let that sink in). It was so cheap, frustrating, and downright BORING, that it nearly made me give up on it (when in reality, I really should have, but I was stubborn). I wouldnt even recommend it for 90% off. All these years later and I'm still salty about it.
World to the West is super underrated, check it out!
I quit on Teslagrad about halfway through because I thought the controls and puzzles were clunky. The boss fights were also not great. The premise is outstanding and the animation is great. It just didn't click with me after so much frustration.
That's too bad some people didn't like the boss fights. I thought they were great and actually thought the final boss was one of the most satisfying boss fights I've ever mastered. Pure pattern recognition. Started out seeming impossible and next thing I knew I could fly through it no problem.
Oh well, guess it's not for everyone.
@GregamanX Wow, thank you for that unrecommendation! I almost went to the e shop, but I have had enough frustrating boss fights to appreciate what you posted, I don't need another one! Thanks!
Teslagrad was fun back on Wii U. The bosses are a bit of a learning curve but they aren't too terrible once learned.
I think it was the second last boss that have me the most trouble figuring out. The game could have used an extra hit for bosses but it is well crafted.
