@BigRadical That’s only if you’re already in the higher ranks of the race; if you’re in first place you mostly get coins and banana peels (rarely Green Shells and the Horn Blaster)

@jfp It’s absolutely nuts that we will soon have a handheld gaming device on par with Xbox Series S (reportedly). I grew up with the Gameboy too and it’s just… madlad levels of insanity what we can have now.

@Porco Most people? You speak for yourself. I detach the joycon all the time. It’s much easier to play that way when I want to rest my wrists. It’s reminiscent of the Wii+nunchuck controller. It also allows for spontaneous multiplayer sessions, when out and about.

@Waveboy It looks like a crisper overall image and with higher detail on the characters. But yeah Mario Kart 8 was already (still is) a gorgeous game. The DLC tracks didn’t live up to that standard though

@yohn777 They don’t need to release a separate Switch 2 version because the Switch 2 can play it anyway. That said, it probably will say somewhere on the box art that it can “be enhanced further when played on Switch 2”. But it’s probably just higher framerate and cleaner peak resolution. I don’t think they will have two different MP4 skus— that would be confusing

@Tasuki It’s not misleading because Notch no longer has ownership of the “Minecraft” brand; so he can’t create a game even remotely similar to it with those same block names and assets and creatures. Anything he creates cannot be a sequel to Minecraft.

He is probably going to make something very different.

It’s actually really cool for skipping having to play the songs. Of course it hardly saves time compared to just whacking the mystery stone though

@RCGamer They are every bit as much a Zelda game as the first one. There were no real theme to those dungeons either; the world was open and many dungeons could be tackled out of numerical order. The dungeon items were streamlined into rune powers and vehicle parts in order to open up the flow of adventure on such a massive overworld; the very act of traversal is itself often a puzzle

@Debo626 It’s using the multiverse theory that all other possibilities are possible in other dimensions. Like in Dragon Ball Z; Trunks can only save the future of Goku’s timeline, but sadly not his own. In multiverse theory, any use of time travel immediately splits the former timeline in two; you can only travel back in time to an adjacent timeline; not your own.

@Yoshi3 You can actually explore the Eldin region in ToTK. That was not possible in parts of BotW due to the extreme heat. They added a ton of new stuff for TotK.

I’m literally getting goosebumps to preparing to replay this amazing game in all its glory and now with all those new bells and whistles. The original Felghana (a remake of Ys III), actually came out on PC in 2005-2006 or thereabouts. I remember having to painstakingly translate every line on screen using a Kanji dictionary. But it was worth it for all the insane action (very awesome boss fights that cream the YS 3 originals) and one of the best soundtracks to ever grace the medium. My only complaint here is that they aren’t including the legendary PCE version of the soundtrack, too.
