Re: Europa Is A Beautiful Adventure Game With Shades Of Studio Ghibli And Breath Of The Wild

@FreasurePlanten You thought that was fun? It bored me to tears. The control feels floaty and imprecise (and laggy). It sure looks nice (nice main character animation too), but it is basically a walking simulator where you can glide (sometimes). That’s it. Everything shown in the trailer shows nothing new than what I experienced in the demo.

Unfortunately it’s a very hard pass for me now

I think Knight’s redemption looks good especially on the sale right now, so I added it to my cart. I also wishlisted Teared: Looks like a cool (pretty) throwback to arcade action sidescrollers

@JohnnyMind SaGa’s art direction looks terrible

@IndoorEnthusiast What is boring about him? There’s still nothing else that looks like Mario and his world. His colors and design are instantly recognizable. His small, portly stature gives him a cute and likable presentation (inspired by Toriyama characters). His move set is also legendary: He can jump super high and bounce off of objects with impossible momentum gain, wall jump, spin float, backflip, dive and roll, butt-slide, belly slide, jump kick to gain height, swim in all directions, jump between planetoids, triple jump, fly in 3D without a vehicle… and that’s not even getting into his epic powerups.

Saying Mario is boring is definitely a SPICY TAKE

I went ahead and ordered the physical. I have had trouble getting into this one in the past (on PC), but I think it would benefit from a handheld play, where it’s better suited for retrying… over and over again. (The combat mechanics have a stiff learning curve, and you almost will never benefit from taking on a group of enemies). I suggest people play in the Easy mode, otherwise you have limited saves early on.

It’s truly impressive Saber got this working even this well on Nintendo, PCs struggled to run this game originally

@Tyranexx You’re the one who relishes every time a Switch update says ā€œImproved Stabilityā€

@nhSnork Yeah, I constantly juggle games through Data Management too (I still can’t see me deleting my 32Gb MK11 Ultimate though) šŸ˜‚

@Coalescence I distinctly remember that feeling with the early 3DS eShop too (where I was amazed at the release of Xevious 3D šŸ˜‚)

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Wins Best Action/Adventure Game At TGA 2023

@Zidentia TotK was created by absolute coding geniuses. It’s one of the most stable yet largest worlds Nintendo has ever conceived and executed. The game should have won for best direction as well.

So I’m with you that anyone that says it’s just DLC frankly aren’t being genuine about it. There is a massive amount of new stuff in this go round of Zelda and I’d even claim there are actually 4 maps due to all the new cave systems created.

Congrats to Larian’s win, even if I don’t agree with it, though.
