Got it preordered a while ago. Think it will be fine and should be judged on its own merits. The fact that its not the metroid game everyone wanted hurts a little but as I mentioned earlier better than no metroid game at all. Wonder if had coplained less if next level games had wasted their efforts on another boutique game or something like amiibo festival

With that said I do believe nintendo has made lots of questionable decisiobs in the last couple of years wasting a lot of opportunities that might have paid off - they should have hired me as ceo

Metroid should definitely come out during the holiday season 2017. Bringing it out year two or three ouod be a mistake. In fact they should think about at least two games gor the whole nx lifespan ir maybe even a trilogy.
Zelda and pikmin have been pretty much confirmed although I would like to see pikimin come out for wii u as well.

Wonder if nintendo will be cheaping us out again. Going with older technology will bring about critisizm. This could be nintendos last chance to stay in the console market

Well,some games are great thats fot sure,still nintendo didnt capitalize on their opportunity and didnt reach their potential. Pity. Why did they bother with amiibo festival when people were crying out for another metroid

Not sure I would buy it. There is just too many games in my backlog and I do not consider these games to be essential. So probably not- you cannot have them all.

Will buy this day one, hopefully it will be a physical release

To be honest, I have lost all interest in the nx. Until its reveal I wont care about any rumours. It seems it wont be BC so I have to buy another wii u first abd after that I will see how the nx fares and will make a decision. Too many games in my collection as to risk not beibg able to play them in the future.

Hope this is not the top secret gimmick that will help sell millions NX

I am 36 - my backlog is constantly rising - mostly due to the fact that my game of choice has been mario kart 8 for the last 1,5 years. And yes, I have to agree, the older you get the less time you spend on gaming (which is not my only hobby btw). So it is actually possible that I will never finish the new Zelda, maybe not even come close to the middle of the game. So what? I am not buying games in order to beat them one after the other so as to tell other people about how many games, in how much time, on which difficulty I have beat - thats not me. To me its like owning a small library of great games, mostly not played with the possibility of playing them whenever I want. RIght now its summer - I barely play games - but one things is for certain: Winter is coming!

Pre-ordered this one - should get it by friday (together with robobot and tokyo mirrage - my backlog is getting bigger)

I think we are all talking about games here, nobody is attacking anyone because of their sexual orientation.
What makes me wonder, however, why games are judged so hard wether they include or exclude gay marriage.
Today I have read about a guy who got married to his Iphone in Las Vegas.
Are the days coming where people will complain about not including the possibility to marry your cell phone? Or dog? Or car?

Sad to hear. I must admit that I couldnt care less about any romance in games. Romance is something that can only be experienced in real life, virtual romance has always been a little bit odd to me, but I guess thats just me.
Nintendo playing it safe? Well, I think they stick to tradition, which is fine by me. Like I said before gay marriage shouldnt be a game changer IMHO.

I was talking about a game that has a somewhat classical setting - classical romance and stuff. The gay/lesbian revolution happened not too long ago, definitely much later than the classic periods. Not saying there werent any gay/lesbian people during that time, but like you say, they were hiding in the closet back in the day.
Hopefully they will not include it in this game!

Personally I dont think gay marriage would fit the game at all. I mean, this is a country life theme, rural area farming. Its got a classic vibe to it. Have you ever seen same sex marriage in classic literature? Me neither! I think such an option would spoil the atmosphere of a farming game like story of seasons.

Same with me, lots wii and wii u games that are waiting to be played. Will definitely need a second wii u (maybe even a third one) lack of BC is a real cat.

While not necessarily THE zelda game I expected, I have high hopes for it. The game mechanics seem like a good mix of gameplay elements found in other games. But this one could be unique.
On the other hand I was a bit disappointed by the minimal story or even the lack of a story at all.
I will try to view this game as unique and not judge it by any standards.

Why would same sex marriage be a game changer?

I get the feeling what they presented a couple of years ago was a FMV, an animation, they wanted to check if there is demand for such a game and when they realized people are sending money like crazy they started with the game and along the way they realized they couldnt match the FMV, nor could they come up with interesting gameplay. SAD! Luckily, they didnt get my money!

Glad it didnt work out! If Nintendo had abandoned hardware manufacturing and teamed up with MS, who knows what kind of bondage they might have gotten into. Just think about Rare! They ended up doing kinect software!

The development of cartridges is actually quite amazing. Think about 3ds games, they come on cards packed gigabytes of content. Personally, I like the idea of cardridges, on the other hand, though, I rather wished the Nx to be backwards compatible with wii u and wii games - like a vastly upgraded wii console. Be it as it may - probably gonna buy it, but not day one - will have to buy another wii u soon, or maybe even two, just too many amazing games in my collection and I dont want to pay for those games again nx vc console...

While I am very excited about this game and understand the marketing strategy behind the dual release, it is another sad example of nintendos wii u failure. They announced the game a long time ago, people who bought the wii u were looking forward to it only to realize its going to be delayed until the launch of the Nx. I think if it was released as planned only on wii u it would have been optimised for it, maybe smaller, maybe a little bit less content but definitely a great game.

Nintendo wants to be different from its competition - sometimes it works for and sometimes against them. IMHO they shouldnt force it, though. Everyone knows this is an open world game, there is absolutely no reason to introduce a meaningless term.

Just talked to my online- retailer, told me there is a chance I might get a copy. . I was so against this game, but the positive reviews really made me change my mind - I will give it a chance - if I get it.

My backlog is rising - the question is, will I ever get to play it?

Still undecided about this one - the review somehow got me thinking -

Nintendo has been neglecting certain countries for years, and thats a real shame. Not too many people know nintendo in Poland, Playstation and xbox can be bought even at local supermarkets. If you want to buy a wii u, you have to order it online. Thankfully we have got some nice and reliable stores.

I think the Nx will be definitely fantastic for nintendo fans. If its gonna be interesting for anyone else remains to be seen.

When I first saw the trailer about 1,5 years ago I thought, wow, this is gonna be awesome. As time went by, my interest diminished a little but I was still up for a day one purchase. It was actually the last trailer that changed my mind a lot - I dont wanna make people cry like an anime fan prom knight . I dont care much about review scores but I think I will give this one a pass regardless. Its certainly not a must-have for me.

Come to think of it, the funny thing is, Breath of the Wild will be released next year, and chances are there wont be anymore wii u's around (ok, its a dual release, I know). Backwards compatibility would have saved me a lot of trouble.

Bad news to me - As I own 18 Wii U and over 30 Wii games (not to mention VC games) I am kinda forced to buy a second wii u console quite soon, since they are not gonna be around forever. This kinda sucks. You can still buy an xbox 360 these days but the wii u will be gone. Another disadvantage of buying a niche console

Just btw - nintendo games are relatively bug free. Wonder how such a big game like this will fare and how many patches it will receive.

Its nice to see the zelda universe expanding. While it may have borrowed from other games I hope to see it put into a cohesive whole that will surpass the competition. Love the lush arts style

It has always been clear to me, this is gonna be a day one purchase, probably on the wii u (will wait and see about nx). However, I was not too impressed with what they had to show. It kinda reminded of other games - not saying this is a bad thing, but still. In the end this could be one of the last games that I will ever buy.

EA and Ubisoft are the worst of the bunch. Anyone missing those companies doesnt know gaming.

Its always like this, someone comes up with an opinion, theres people who are either for or against, but most people have a position on things. And then there is a dicussion on things where people present their arguments. Like I said, I dont really care wether shell be included in the game or not. It doesnt change anything to me. I just think its weird trying to persuade someone to make game changes because of some tragic incident. Theres other ways to express condolences, or try to make a change.
Personally I believe that nintendo gamers are among the most peaceful of all gamers.

I think, however, that these are unpopular opinions, and people who stand up get quited down. Of course no one from the muslim community will stand up against it, just shift the blame and stuff. And if people stand up against it they are labelled racist etc. In europe they are trying to impose penalties on countries who dont want to let those ticking time bombs into their country 250000 EUR for each and thats blackmail IMHO>

I admire your motivation, its beautiful. However, I dont think that putting her into a game will change anything. People like that crazy guy will still exist, muslim terrorists will continue terrorizing, and electing people like trump will ruin us all. Not much we can do about it.

I agree with what you are saying, but I think you somehow miss the point.
I dont think her death had anything to do with playing video games, and putting her as NPC into one doesnt really change anything. What does her death or her memorial have to do with the target audience? If people want a memorial for her then this should happen in real life and not in some artificial game, which didnt have anything to do with her game.
Don't get me wrong, this is just my opinion, in the end it doesnt really matter to me if they put her into the game or not. Its just weird to me. And besides, what kind of a NPC would you like her to be? A singer who gets shot by a crazy fan? Like a sidequest where link has to save her? I think that would be totally beyond the limit.

Weird idea IMHO. I didnt know about her until I read the news about her death. Whats the point in adding her as a NPC? I generally dislike the idea of adding real life people into video games .
