To me personally a letdown. Why? Because it came assassin creed type of game. That's not what I want in YS game. Give me old school YS with Adol alone. Those were the best days.. after that (besides the 8th) it wasn't special anymore. Well glad who loves the new gameplay to YS game. So happy for you. But i'm skipping this one

@fafonio i totally agree with you. it was a nice try to try something different, but having those weapons breaking all the time.. it became annoying. And the OST is mostly muted and only birds chirping. With previous Zelda games you had an OST that got you in the whole atmosphere.. totally absent in BOTW IMO. Go back to the old dungeons and dark amotsphere and good OST.. even on field you want some tune to get excited.. all gone in BOTW

@JSDude1 it looks like a mobile game. you know.. releasing still a kingdom hearts title, but due hardware limit you'll get a little brother to please others

@lemonjellydude Meh. I don't see it that way. Switch gives you a better experience. I really dislike the 3DS setup with a 2nd screen. I want to press menu myself when I need it. It feels like i'm not really playing it since it's all shown there. Well each his own

@TG16_IS_BAE that's how reviews work.. it's an opinion.. you either agree or disagree. I disagree most of the time with the reviewers. Got myself many times some A++ titles, but looking back it most were overrated and somehow other games that got less attention and scored quite low while they are still good to play. each his own

That's what DLC is about right? Paying for it so you have the shortcut? Like buying characters and they are unlocked without doing much self. I prefer even if you add as DLC. Give more reason to a gamer to finish the game and start again. That was gaming about. They really messed it up with the DLC. Now if you pay you can get it right away. Well it's what it is

I bought RE Origins collection. RE1 HD and RE Zero. Only for 9,99 on PC and on DVD. Of course steam needs to be used, but I feel bad for Switch players who had to pay at least 2x as much as I did and you got only 1 game

@Chlocean yeah, except the OST.. there's hardly OST in BOTW. In fields it's all silence with birds on background. It doesn't capture atmosphere at all. Feels very generic and simple BOTW. I stopped playing the game after 2 hours.. hate the weapons that breaks so easily. They should've sticked to the old LOZ style. Well each his own

Such a tiny screen for a hybrid system. Look how small it is. And you all love gaming on it? It should be at least 1 or 2 inch bigger. Hey.. each his own. Nintendo surely made Switch lite the new 3DS. That's for sure

wayyy too small. Some of you will be needing a huge lense while gaming on it. I guess they are aiming to 4 year olds with their tiny hands. But older audience this is garbage. WTF were they thinking. No sale! Not even if it would be free. Fix it and give us a proper size like GBA or NDS. No excuse in a time like to use such small screen

@The-Chosen-one The day went full 3D with Deadly Alliance... they already lost the MK magic. It was like playing a Tekken game with MK theme. The speed was all gone.. doing combo's at amazing high speed all gone. Sure there is some speed, but we all know it will never match the 2D UMK3 and MK Trilogy speed. After Deception I didn't care much about MK games anymore. All became DLC and you can only unlock extra characters by paying them. In the past at least up to Deception you were able to unlock those by playing story or other mode to unlock more. The other stuff to unlock aren't really worth. Don't waste money on MK games anymore. It gives them the idea they can get away with

@MrBlacky simple.. you N fans got your Switch Lite and you a lot bought that hardware many of you. N has to go as Lite and it's focused on those. So those screenshots (for Lite users) are correct

I knew it very well, but after the WII fiasco (yes it was fun at beginning, but after a bit you want a real controller in your hand) and it was matched as xbox original hardware wise.. i mean you didn't push yourself at all did ya nintendo. After that my interest all gone about Nintendo. Became a cheap hardware.. high price for an old hardware that's outmatched already @ release. I bet more people felt like this. After that I only follow the games review here because I like to read and see if there's an improvement at all. But atm no interest. Happy gaming

@Scirocco7 But most people didn't had the chance to play some older games. I sold my WII and WII U very early. I still have some copies of gamecube games, but to be running on older hardware... no thanks. I care only for the game. So if it's emulated correct and gives a better experience by giving better graphics and widescreen. Then hell yes Remaster is welcome. Most games today are lacking amazing OST. Look @ breath of the wild. most of the time that game is on mute. Hearing bird chirping doesn't capture anything. Well it's an opinion at the end. Happy gaming to you

@GrandScribe To me as A FF game it was a letdown. After many years on PS1.. I always ended up with the Classics of FF games. And we all know those discs were ugly silver. So this time I wanted with the new FF one of the first so I wouldn't get the cover with classic on it and a blanc disc. I got the collector edition. Boy the game was such a huge down. I played and I was like where is the FF style of it? It was like a N64 game Quest 64. And that was annoying to play in a circle all the time. To me it was the next Quest 64 on gamecube but named FF to make more sales. I wonder if this game didn't have Final Fantasy name... would you guys all still would be in for it? Or would you drop it just like Quest 64 and other underwhelming rps on N64.. I wonder

@GrandScribe At least they have RPG. Unlike MS XBOX One. It's all about action/shooter games... BORING. A good exclusive RPG is a must on each hardware. Xbox doesn't have any. They had once Fable game.. and they broke it with their 3rd game. A completely different game than the first 2. They even had Kameo on Xbox 360. And also no 2nd game. You want something magical on your hardware. Nintendo is doing great. I hope they will add another great RPG exclusive title

@Spoony_Tech That's why I don't buy a Nintendo product anymore. NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube were the top for me. But the latest products that Nintendo released is BS. You pay around 300 euro and you get only 32gb buildin memory. That's not enough for gaming today. The system should not be more expensive than 150 euro if you ask me. We are forced to get our own memory card and we need to a pay lot more money for some decent space. And they are forcing you to get the pro controller since the joycon is for basic gaming. We all know a pro controller is a must for some games for fast movement. You pay already around 400 euro to be ready for the games on Nintendo hardware. I was turned of by them since they don't include decent memory at all and still asking the same price (almost) for an xbox and ps4 with 1TB space. Nintendo is an expensive hardware. But hey it's business. they are known child friendly and all kids wants one so they take full advantage. I love reading reviews and stories, but i'm not moved to get a Nintendo hardware atm. If they can come with something decent as a full package they can have my money. But I can't support a company that makes advantage of people. We all know Switch doesn't deliver as it should.

@1UP_MARIO TBH it was a letdown to me.. Didn't notice much of the widescreen.. don't know.. I didn't get the feeling "now I have to play this all day". I played and stopped after 5 minutes. The horrid N64 controls when you walk on those platforms are a turn off. This game needs a true remaster

@CurryPowderKeg79 yeah but PC gaming is not really a Brand. Nintendo is a Brand. You're paying for the hardware and the games... 3rd party or not they will still demand higher price. Because you play on quite pricey Brand. If you're a steam user just keep playing on Steam. If you would buy on Switch they will think they can get away with such high prices.

@graysoncharles agreed. that's how many games are released unfinished because they use the excuse "we can always use a patch" and if people won't complain they don't have to put extra work and money. So as cheap possible make a game. if no one moans then this product will be as it is released. Just make sure you finish the game properly before releasing. You want to have better sales right? you want to see reviews with more positive stuff than the negative right? Take a month or 2 more time before you release unfinished producht. Nuff said

Funny isn't it.. the bigger the company gets the more expensive they get and less quality items they give you. WII/WII U/Switch they are 1 or 2 generations behind and still somehow dominates the world. Let this sink

only an upgraded N64 with 2 expansion packs to give this quality of graphics. Nice try to memik N64 games, but go replay. Those aren't this sharp. With that said.. still great work

i have one hotmail account and I get attacks frequently. Very annoying. I had to change like 100th my password. While other accounts I don't have such attacks

@stevep Same here. That's why I can't play other Animal Crossing games after Gamecube. I prefer square ground and making the world turn by each step it's annoying to me. I'm sticking to my grand Gamecube Animal version. Best of the best IMO

Nintendo almost lacked in each their game to change controls. Mario Sunshine is unplayble for me due the camera movement with the C button. No option to reverse it and it feels weird and it's not working for me

@Mountain_Man They are and they not fun to use in that way. If you play some hours your thumb will be hurt by it. Xbox controller is the better one for sure

Most of the times I prefer JP covers.. but in this case I prefer the Europe cover. The USA doesn't do much to me and neither JP

This game should've gotten a 7. The OST is quite good for such game. Even better than some 1st party RPG without even proper music and just putting sounds and birds on background. This game should be also played at Expert difficulty. Because you will fight monsters that tougher to beat and you have to grind some items so you can CRAFT items and you can have better equipment by upgrading via CRAFT. I doubted this game, but it's quite good. This score doesn't really do justice here for the game. Try yourself out and you'll love it. And I hate games made from RPG maker, but this exception. Funny when I like a game this website always gives a low score and games are overrated gets almost like a 8 or 9.. well each his own

@nessisonett they also know Nintendo is the only hardware you can play games on the go. Gamestudios are aware of it and charging even more from people. I'm sticking to TV/PC gaming with my other hardware since games should be played on big screen. It's ok on the go, but those games should be even less expensive since Switch is the weakest hardware from the "next gen" consoles. Switch doesn't deliver the quality we should have.. it's still in many many cases 540p undocked. docked 720@30fps most of the time. That they dare to ask such high prices is ridicilous. Don't buy it till the prices are right. Otherwise they think they can get away. You have to boycot it. No sale!

How about you use emulators on your PC and keep playing all the games you like. There's even Gamecube like controller for PC. It's funny how people turn their hardware into other hardware. Well they have skills that's for sure. I wouldn't go all that trouble. Well each his own

it's not that fun to be honest.. there isn't really a meny. You just pause and you do have a map.. but very limited information. It's not like Castlevania symphony of the night with full status information. I stopped playing after 5 minutes. That's how bad the impression it made on me

I bet they are ready to make their move to Switch 2 soon. Not this year but a year or 2.. which will be very close
