Re: Hardware Review: Live Your Life As A Giant With The Tiny 8BitDo Zero 2 Controller

Alucard83

Told you all before.. Nintendo is mainly aiming at children. That's why you get those little controls when you buy their system... look at gamecube d-pad.. which person would be using it with fighting games? Forcing people to buy their Pro controller so you can get a decent D-pad, which should be there already, and 3DS and NDS.. look at those little tiny buttons. All for children. Switch aint that different. I also loved Nintendo when I was a kid in 80s and played the NES. But 36 years later... i realise it was always aimed for children. So if you want bigger controls you really need to look for ps4 or xbox. With that said. no hating here, just pointing the obvious

Re: Switch Named Most Fragile Product Of The Year By French Consumer's Association

Alucard83

@PBandSmelly that's because you might be a light user/gamer. Which means if you're not playing a game like Dragons dogma or real fighting games... you won't have heavy gaming so less damage to your controller. However... this is a gaming hardware and there shouldn't be such thing as drifting issues already to people who just got it. I have xbox 360 controller for about 11 years in my closet I can still use it and a bit of course drifting issues... but those started just a year ago. But then again I did play heavy games like dragons dogma/Dark souls/ Fighting games that you really have to use your analag all the time. You have to keep press it in Dragons dogma so you can actually run. How many of us didn't run like crazy playing that game. But my point is the xbox 360 controller didn't have this issue this early with games. I bought for my PC gaming Xbox X official version... and the RB buttong started having issues already and the analog as well. full of drifiting issues. And it doesn't feel like good quality either. 360 controller on other hand can have more damage because good quality was used. The lack of quality in these controllers went downhill that's why we're forced to keep buying each year a new one. That wasn't the case in the past hardwares. It's now a thing... as cheap as possible and still asking the same price or maybe a bit higher than they usually do for the same controller but with less quality. I heard PS4 users having the same problems with the controls. We gamers should demand a better quality hardware or simply lets boycot it. That's why they get away with it because we're don't attack them. So wrong. So i went on PC with other gamepad because I didn't want to spend again 60 euro for a controller that will die in just half year or ayear. We're gamers and a controller should be able to handle all the heavy gaming. Period

Re: Feature: Prepare To Meet The Light! Where Is Kid Icarus: Uprising On Switch?

Alucard83

@Zoda_Fett Kinda stupid from some companies dumping some great IPs... I mean they could've even make this one as true RPG. You know the job as icarus you have... going through the worlds and doing quests and stuff. Well it's their loss. They should use more of their brains with some games. Take them to the next level and don't stay at action/adventure type. Take a different turn and voila you've got even more fans. Some games are not playable for me, but because in later titles it turned into more RPG it got my attention. I want rewards when I slay a monster not just hearts like in castlevania... experience points I want or better equipment. Give me something to motivate me

Re: Best Of 2019: Why You'll Never Get To Play Your Favourite Retro Game On Switch

Alucard83

or just let the game on the system available... and any company that was a part of it just devide the money... if there were 4 companies just devide it into 4 and I'm sure those companies will be ok with it cos they do get something out of it. Instead being hold by 1 company who doesn't want to release because they get trouble by other companies they should just offer the money and devide them from each game they release. We're not talking about 1 game with 1 dowonload... some games goes to thousands download. So instead forcing people emulating because you don't want to release it because you can't see the money is coming for you.. they are actually burning themself. If they make it legal on current hardware then they would even have more sales. But hey it's their lost

Re: A Xenosaga Collection Was Scrapped Due To Profitability Concerns

Alucard83

@Expa0 I bet some OST... license music is a very hard... once they were bought and released but if they want to re-use it I bet they also have to repay for the OST... Look @ Disgaea 1 for example...some OST were completely left out because they couldn't pay for it. Gaming today is very different.. back then when we really got OST in all games. Now we have mostly silence in whole game.. look at breath of the Wild.. .did it give you the same quality as Ocarina of Time? When you entered the field you got all happy and ready to explore.. now you have to listen to wind/footsteps and once a while an OST... it doesn't capture the same magic anymore. Many many games are now like this

Re: Get Excited Dood, NIS America Is Teasing New Announcements For PAX South 2020

Alucard83

At me moment I care mostly for Disgaea 3 and Disgaea 4 on PC. Switch is not my system. So as a fan from Disgaea series I want the other 2 been released on Steam. I have Disgaea 1 and 2 on PS2 and on PC... Disgaea 5 PC only. Disgaea 3 and 4 on PS3. But I don't play them on PS3 anymore. Went to PC mode after the weak consoles they have released.. i couldn't be bothered to get a new console... neither ps4/xbox or switch got my attention. They are a generation or 2 behind. That ps4pro and xbox x should've been the ones at release and not after a year or 2... switch is same case to me. I can't support companies that can't be bothered to release a decent hardware. The earlier releases were much better and that's why some of them lasted 10 years. Can't say about the latest hardware. They all went (mostly AMD CPU) we all know that one is weaker than any Intel CPU at same speed. Nintendo Switch however was smart this time using Nvidia. nvidia is quality... AMD... is low compability and a lot of backlog when it comes to driver updates.. we need quality gaming and not cheap gaming. Fix it and I might get your next gen hardware. If you don't like what I wrote here just move on please. It's my opinion about the latest consoles. Lets be honest it didn't wow us

Re: The Game Awards GOTY Is Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Alucard83

I prefer Dark Souls. This game is quite tough. And you really have to enjoy sneaking so you can not be noticed and the combo style i dislike as well. Annoying CPU... I was more hating than enjoying. Clearly not my game. If you think Dark Souls level is just good enough.. I AGREE. But this one is different

Re: The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel III Brings More JRPG Action To The Switch Next Spring

Alucard83

@TechaNinja yeah but YS9 is very different. Saw the videos and it totally lost its charm. Not everything needs to be changed or come up with something new. The past YS games were a hit for a reason. I did enjoy the 8th game, but not as much as the previous ones and 9 completely changed into a different game with "YS" theme. It became assassin creed with all the jumps on high buildings etc... tha'ts not a typical YS game. I might skip this one to show no support to a such game that should've been like the old one that everyone loves. They made RE5 and RE6 move as Capcom. it won't be for the better. Mark my words

Re: Feature: Donkey Kong 64 Devs On Bugs, Boxing And 20 Years Of The DK Rap

Alucard83

@antonio2244 I dislike Yooka-Laylee. I don't like the characters... the levels aren't as fun either. The world is too big. You want to have some goals and feel you've completed a level... by making 1 big level it kinda lost it. Well it's what it is. Someone loves it and other one dislikes it. I love donkey kong country and still play till today. Can't say the same about Yooka-Laylee

Re: Review: Romancing SaGa 3 - A JRPG Classic That's Often Quite Hard To Love

Alucard83

I actually don't mind the updated graphics. They are better than the Chrono Trigger on Steam remaster. They could've updated the graphics as they did with this game and still using the old school 2d sprites for the characters and NPC only. but background fully remastered. This is how other old RPG games should get a remaster and of course the native 16:9 setting without stretching the graphics. But I stopped playing this game after half hour... I just don't really enjoy this type of level up. Prefer the other way...knowing when you will reach a next upgrade instead hoping on next fight you get your stats higher. Well each his own. you're not missing much if you won't play this game IMO

Re: Nintendo 64 Sales Have Seen A Dramatic Rise On eBay This Year

Alucard83

Too bad that Nintendo won't deliver their past hardware... I mean you still get your money from the customer. You know I wouldn't mind to pay 150 euro for N64 new from Nintendo. Update the hardware like the controller... add on a usb version and let it be able to play all the N64 games without region lock. I know a lot of you would say lets wait for mini N64, but I have so many games still here that could be played. The mini N64 won't have that big collection. Sigh

Re: Review: Pokémon Sword And Shield - A Solid Start To Gen 8 On Switch, Despite The Hate

Alucard83

When I saw this my first thought was at looking at the pictures it would be a 7. The pictures alone gave me a 7 number to this game. Seeing the score 8 I was a bit shocked. Didn't expect that. The written review and looking at the graphics... those aint good. And joy points says graphics are great at some part and ot cons it says it doesn't look good. You know some games are really trash but because it has a name somehow it's playing with peoples mind to make them think it's a good/great game while it's not. I wonder if it would've gotten an 8 if the game wasn't named Pokemon. In the past when you saw a picture of a game you were sold or you didn't want to touch it. You knew it right away. This gives me the same vibe by looking at those graphics... it's a meh game. Well we won't get quality from them since it carries the Pokemon name... After Pokemon Colloseum on gamecube the others weren't as great to me personally. Well each his own. If you like what you see go get it

Re: Review: Resident Evil 6 - Not As Nightmarish As You Remember

Alucard83

To me this one is just an action/shooter game. Not horror/shooter/survival game. Sure you have to survive, but you all know what I mean. It doesn't capture the old RE games. Well it's what it is. I'm not planning to play this game. I bet if Capcom used a different unknown characters and used an other title it might wouldn't get this much attention. They tried something new but they flatlined. Once upon a time those old school RE got much higher scores

Re: What Sakurai Really Meant When He Said Smash Bros. "Is For Good Boys And Girls"

Alucard83

A little slap to our face though. It's only for good boys and girls. What kind of remark is that? If a little child is playing such game a child mind would never make sexual stuff out of it. It's you adults who are dirty minded. When a child gets older towards teen yes then. So you aim towards age 3 then... well it's what it is. It's not a lost for me anyway. I'll play King of Fighters

Re: Review: Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 - Great Multiplayer, But A Step Backwards For Solo Athletes

Alucard83

@BeefsoundMagnus That was because DLC wasn't a thing. Lately none of the games have something to unlock. Only way to unlock is when you pay for it. That's why I can't support games like this anymore. Look @ mortal kombat.. they had the DLC already there. They could've included if they wanted.. but instead they milk more from people. Boycotting stuff like is this the best and wait for the right time like GOTY version when you can all the DLCs. At least in the past we had a reason to finish a game. We made effort to reach the end... now we don't even need to. Takes away the fun. Well it's what it is. Thats why I prefer to support gamestudios who are less famous who gives your money more worth it. At least milking is least there

Re: Nintendo Has Now Sold More Than 750 Million Games Consoles Worldwide

Alucard83

@RareFan yes and espcially with the cheap gamepad... the display wow that was low quality and very expensive to buy. 100 euro I remember for just 1 gamepad with screen. It wasn't even at good resolution. But then again like I said before... Nintendo is aiming to children. A child won't demand as much as an older person. But most of us who were children when Nintendo 8 bit came out and now we're older and seeing stuff like this isn't really groundbreaking. The WII U didn't get much support at all from 3rd party. That system was way behind... just more ram than xbox 360 but powerwise it was just as good as xbox 360 they said

Re: Review: Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout - The Atelier Franchise Finally Goes Mainstream

Alucard83

An 8? really? I love Atelier games, but this one is bad (IMO). The autobattle with only 1 character to give command and enemies keep attacking you even when you're thinking... it became just like arcade game. just keep pushing till battle is done. To me this is the worse Atelier game ever. Well it does'nt work for me. I refunded right away after getting this game. Never will touch it again. They really lost it.. Lulua isn't better either, but at least you had old fashion battles. This one just... NO

Re: Nintendo Finally Hints That It Has Ditched Game Development On The 3DS

Alucard83

We knew that a few years ago... 240p in 2017 doesn't really work even for handheld.. ps1 was released like in what? 1996 and had 480p.. they also used cheap parts that's for sure. I'm glad it's dying now. bye bye. Now NIntendo remake Ocarina of Time and not like 3DS adding colour... the game was meant to be dark you know.. for the atmosphere. I'd like to see a proper remake of that one

Re: There's No Need To Be Afraid Of This Day One Update For Luigi's Mansion 3

Alucard83

Well it's a thing now lately.. half game are sold as complete and then they patch it up... that is if people complain.. if not they will keep it as it as and so easy money for them. It's a smart business. But I rather they take more time before releasing the game unfinished.. i'm sure here and there needs some update, but they can test the game a several times beforehand and then adding that update in the card... but you still need to download. Well it's what it is.. as long there is a patch. Can't say the same thing to other companies who releases a patch after a year or never even. I can't support companies like that. I'm paying a lot and I want a good experience

Re: Nintendo Switch Has Now Sold 41.67 Million Units Worldwide, First Switch Lite Totals Revealed

Alucard83

Well we all want something for on the go... on mobile you want to be available as long possible. With a hybrid like this no need to worry about that and you can enjoy Nintendo 1st party games. Glad they are doing fine. I hope their next hardware will push the graphics a bit more.. we've seen the cartoony mario/zelda in the past gens. Give us something new in the future for a change

Re: Review: Disney Classic Games: Aladdin And The Lion King - A Fine Package, But The Games Have Aged Badly

Alucard83

@Fazermint I play on Steam.. but the filters are horrible... I still don't get it why they can't give 2D games lately bilinear filter. That gives you CRT experience at highest quality. On LED screen even with the CRT filter they added it's just with lines. They totally missed the mark here. Bilinear filter is for HD experience. I think they do it on purpose by not including that one. We all know all 2D games look better on LCD/LES with that filter and somehow they only use scanlines.. without the filter the games looks even worse than on CRT on original hardware. They totally don't capture it. This collection deserves for that reason alone a 5 from my point of view

Re: Review: Resident Evil 5 - More Action Than Horror, And All The Better For It

Alucard83

@suikoden I don't understand why Capcom feels that they need to come with something new with each game... they went action/shooter... it was ok at first but at 6th it was enough... 7th.. i had being chased. So I disliked that part and it didn't feel like Resident Evil game to me at all. It's still not what it once was. They did the same thing with Breath of Fire... 1 up to 4 masterpieces... at 5th made a dungeon crawler in a bad way and 6th on mobile? don't get me started. Gamestudios should listen to fans what we want.. because their ideas that they need to keep coming up with something new all the time is horrible. Someone needs to wake them up. Resident Evil was a hit for a reason. You take out that ellement and now the newest games just carries the name so they are sure for some sales. I bet if they used different characters (unknown) and an other name it wouldn't even get that much attention. I guess they know what they're doing. But I ain't buying it. I wasn't triggered after 5th game to buy RE6 or RE7. All borrowed and never again
