How is the character unlocking in this game? In Garden Warfare I played 20 hours and barely unlocked anything, they wanted you to spend money, it was infuriating.

@Giygas_95 I wasn't a fan of the "super attacks" (I forget the name). It felt cheap offensively and borderline unblockable on defense.
And I know Mario sports are fun because of the gimmicks but the gimmicks here felt it hampered it to me

I'm intimidated to play this because I know it's a HUGE time sink just to grasp the basics. Maybe when I was a teen

Skyward is like most anime, where 40% of the game is dumb filler, but the core stuff is very good.

@Saints Here it's that there IS a story present but it's uninteresting. That's different than no story, or little story (like Mario)
