Laughable. We are the dollars they respond to and what drives profits. Laughing at a customers question is unprofessional and only found in this industry, where boys pretending to be grown men are allowed to get away with mocking an audience.
Doom laughs right back. I love FPS and was into COD for a long time (bought multiple copies on the Wii U), but after playing the last Doom on the switch, I cannot go back to COD. On any console.
I was very much looking forward to it. I played it at least 5 hours and found myself real bored with the lack of things to do. I also got stuck in a jumping section, which made no sense as it’s not that type of game at all. I enjoy different sorts of games, like Journey or say Flower, but this one has no magic to speak of. Bland & boring.
Such whining!!! Nintendo can’t be expected to promote every single game. Microsoft and Sony don’t either. Nintendo is a business and not your mother. Grow up and learn how to promote your own material. And I’m sure Nintendo has their side of the story as well. In the end you can’t make everyone happy and in business, sometimes business partners may feel neglected, but that may not necessarily be true. I work in high value real estate and I’m sure some developers would say the same about the place I work at. Doesn’t mean it’s true.
This article was totally unnecessary, as this is just a common part of doing business. In any business.
How exciting! As a fan of Nijnja Gaiden and all things 80s, this sounds like a great experience. I love the fact that the music stands out, action sounds great (cloud stepping sounds like a cool added action) and the humor and ability to switch between 8 & 16 bit graphics is awesome. I’m picking it up ASAP!
Oh man, I loved Paperboy growing up, was one of those arcade cabinets found in every single arcade. I played it almost every single time I went to the arcade....so I’m highly interested, I hope this is good.
I loved this game on the WiiU. It’s addicting and I especially loved the ability to build your own castle and have it be your castle in battle. The various soldiers to spawn are great fun and controlling the hero adds another dimension to the gameplay. 8/10 for me as well.
Crouching was pretty worthless beyond exploring, so getting a dash move instead makes sense. This combined with the new hook should make playing this even more insane than the first.
I was going to mention that and a few other facts, but it’s not worth it. When the knee jerk reaction is to bring up Sony, there’s no point in discussion...the commenters are already feeling, somehow, threatened.
I say good for Nintendo, as without them taking a huge risk with both the NES & Gameboy, we may not be here today.
Have they ever mentioned how well the 1st game sold on Switch? In the US, I’ve noticed it’s rarely been on sale, which lends me to believe it has and continues to sell well.
Excellent interview. I love Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden, and it seems that they have put a lot of thought and detail into the 8 & 16 bit music as well, so I am quite excited for this game. I hope it’s excellent!!
This is huge... I remember playing these in the arcade and my local 7-11 in the 80s. I remember beating Victory Road very well at that 7-11 after maybe 2-3 stops over a summer period. I also own the original first print edition of Ikari Warriors on the N-E-S, and not the Ness! 😂
Go look at old 1980s Nintendo US TV advertising and even they call it the N-E-S. The Power Glove ad itself says only for your N-E-S.
Whoever wrote this up on Wario Ware is rewriting history and out of touch with what it was called in the US. Maybe now in Japan they think it’s Nesss, but it never was when the system was originally released. No one in the US called it anything but the N-E-S growing up, as Nintendo’s own add confirmed it.
Mr. PC Only gamer...So you don’t even own a Switch, are PC only and yet feel the need to troll? Constantly?! What, the wife left you? You feel lonely? Life got you down? Well...I got a very exclusive club for you!
Welcome to the ignore list! You are part of a lucky few! Buh-bye!
This must be a error on Amazon’s part, as a penny sale makes no difference to their profits. This is a multi billion dollar company, so this makes no sense.
I personally love Amazon as they offer the largest selection of goods & services at really low prices. They also have excellent customer service. They’re my go to retailer.
I recently played one again at an arcade museum in San Francisco. Pac-Man. I agree those are great and full of pizza parlor nostalgia! When I was very young in the mid 80s, I used to go to Roundtable Pizza in the US and have a pie and some games. I loved sitting down with my coke, rest it on the arcade table, and play a few rounds as you wait for your pizza. I’d love one for the home!
This is overpriced in my book. In US dollars it’s $194, which is way too much for something that small. I considered it but passed as it’s just too expensive for the product you get.
This reminds me of the Kickstarter for Replicade, which is doing the same thing with Atari licenses. However those are smaller at 12 inches, but cost much less.

Re: Review: The VideoKid (Switch eShop)
Whoa! I wish the graphics were more 80s than Crossy Road, but given the price and this review, I will definitely spend a few gold coins on this one.

Yup, and Xbone. Mediocrity is its middle name and even then that might be too flattering.
Re: Lifeless Planet: Premiere Edition Brings Mysterious Sci-Fi Adventure To Switch Next Week
This game is boring and has very little going for it. Do not waste your time or money.

@Desrever
At a mere $1.66 per month, the bar to make this sub worthy of an annual payment is rather low...surely they will deliver that and more.
Re: Nintendo Shares Image Of Super Mario Bros. 3 In Action On Switch
I’d hope for an online high score board or perhaps a challenge mode to beat levels as fast as possible.

Geez, at least tell us it comes with a free copy of The Wizard or something.
