This reminds me of Valiant Hearts, the Ubisoft game about WW1. If it’s as good as that one it’s a sure buy. I live these sorts of different approaches to gaming & story telling.
Nice review! The game sounds weird but different. A bit Persona-like from what it sounds like. I can’t play it now as I’m knee deep in other games, but it will be added to the wishlist.
I am so tempted. For those wondering, they make a top notch product that is well worth the very high price. I own the King of the Red Lions Windwaker piece and it’s an eye turner for everyone...gaming and non gaming fans alike. If you can afford it, they’re a great purchase.
You can play House of the Dead 2 & 3 on the Wii or Wii U. Get the Wiimote Niko gun adapters and it’s good to go. I play these all the time via the Wii U. For gun games, the Wii & Wii U really delivered.
Me & my wife play Duckhunt on the Wii U via wiimotes all the time. But this is great news as now we can pull out all the old cartridges and game on those again, without needing the Wii U. Really pumped for this!!!
1) They are indeed fixated on consoles & to pretend otherwise is misleading & dishonest. As a former shareholder, Nintendo had made it abundantly clear that its focus it’s on its console, with an emmerging attention on smart phones. 2) it’ll be a very long time before Nintendo goes all mobile as the vast majority of its income stream and its fans are still firmly rooted in console gaming. Yes, if you can do mobile right & make a ton of money, do it, but you can never leave behind consoles as they are the main business line, with smart phones, merchandising & now Hollywood Movies & amusement parks complimenting that line.
In my opinion, this was said to satuate investors concern that Nintendo remains nimble & laser focused on the realities and changes of the gaming market. Nintendo is a very slow mover and investors want to make sure it is aware & ready to move wherever necessary to stay profitable. But currently, and in my opinion the foreseeable future, the vast majority of its sales & profits will continue to come from goods & services sold via its consoles.
Now where’s the download only Switch with upgraded memory & a lower price?
How will they enforce this? Overall, this appears to be total overreach. But I don’t live in Japan, maybe they enjoy a more big daddy government that tells them how their purchases of goods & products should be enjoyed.
I own almost all of the ones listed in this article/advertisement, and I personally love them. The R Type one is my favorite, due to the tremendous care put into the package and assorted goodies. I really don’t see how these releases can bother anyone...if you don’t like them, don’t buy them.
Five years is a very long time, but given its look and the current nostalgia for it, I think this would be a big hit....add in multiplayer online...one can dream.
THE NES IS THE GREATEST CONSOLE OF ALL TIME. Hence...Nintendo online went with it immediately...hence the mini NES...hence the fact that decade after decade, those games come back!
1. NES 2. SNES 3. N64 4. Switch
If the Switch adds in most of the NES games, it’ll move to #1. But at this point, it is way too early for it to be #1.
I was really looking forward to this game, but found it utterly boring. There simply isn’t much going on and I found the gameplay too boring to continue past about 2 hours of game play. I’m into all sorts of games, have a very open mind...but this was just too boring to keep my attention.
And they dug them up a few years back. I actually own one of the original buried cartridges. This movie explains it all...this is a huge piece of video game history.
I like it a lot. I’ve played the Psychio collection 1, Ikaruga & Danmaku Unlimited with it and it works great. It’s easy to use and to put in and out. Joycon attachement feels tight & solid. I’m glad I bought it!
People who weren’t around in the 80s to play them originally aren’t too impressed, but for those of us around that time, this is a must have collection. I too love the collection and can’t wait to go home tonight to pop on the added games.
Played them both and I’d say they’re equal. Red Dead 2 is much more detailed than BoTW. Both are 10/10 games though. BoTW is more intense but the story and fine details is RDR2 are significantly better.
Oh, I was totally turned off by the constant tapping. I made it to the 2nd dungeon, but got too bored to continue. The gameplay was super shallow, although graphics were great. I hope this provides much deeper gameplay due to now utilizing a joystick.
I get why Soulja is doing this (no scruples, wants money), but I cannot understand why his fans would be so dumb that they would buy off on this. It’s not like the US is a video game desert....they’re everywhere and it should be easy to deduct the scam going on here....yet here we are.
A Sony competitor is for sure coming. Sony is not just going to cede all of Japan to Nintendo, which is what would happen if they remain as is. The PS5 will have a portable option, one way or another.
I own a ton of Wii era controllers and GameCube controllers, so this is a perfect solution for me. And it’ll work with the NES & SNES mini controllers too. Sold!!!!
I own this on the Xbox and it is a must have for both R Type and Schmup fans. A very impressive package that delivers the goods!! I will be double dipping so I can play it on the go.
Nope, it’s sold. They just had their earnings report, where they stated it had outsold Red Dead 1 in 5 days (17 million sold vs 15 million sold). Red Dead 2 has outsold COD’s recent launch and is on track to be this year’s best selling game. Take Two raised their earnings guidance for the rest of the year as a result. And what a great game it is.
I’d live to see a Red Dead 1 remaster on the Switch.
Considering the global total is over 17 million, Japan accounting for 1.1% of global Red Dead sales is paltry. That’s pretty low sales for Red Dead if you ask me. Great game though, loving it so far. But the Japanese simply have different tastes than us.

Get a grip.
Re: Dust Off Your Nintendo Labo Rod For Fishing Star: World Tour, Coming To Switch This Month
Cool! That’s one toy I haven’t built yet, but this is a good excuse too. Labo + wife + Mimosas on a Saturday morning is always a good time!

Oh my freaking god!!!! That is insane. I think I paid around $40, maybe less at the time. Well, I guess this doesn’t look too bad in comparison!! 😂
Re: Hardware Review: EON GCHD Mk-II GameCube HDMI Adapter - The Best Just Got Better
Thank god I got the component cable when it came out. IMO, this is a total ripoff.

It’s a great game and I certainly would love some free DLC. For paid DLC, $5 per extra chapter and I’ll probably dive in.

I have never had one of these games crash on me, but I do not use my original SNES with them. I use the Analogue SNES for all new carts.

It’s an ok version of it. I have it on Famicom and it’s definitely serviceable but the arcade version is superior.

You’re probably right. I’ll keep my fingers crossed it happens one day.

The Switch outsold the rest of the market, combined, by over 100%, or over 30,000 units.
This is the biggest drubbing in a long time.
