I don't think we'll see any of this stuff, outside of the regular game, available for order in the US until the release date. I've been checking all these links for weeks and no one has had them since the preorder period ended.

@jowe_gw Or the game is simply much better than the Wii version. That's the reason I'm enjoying and I played the first one all the way though. This remaster is a HUGE improvement, making the game quite enjoyable the 2nd time around.

I love this remaster. I played the first one all the way through, but it felt stiff, clunky and ugly....the weakest 3D Zelda by a long shot. This remaster fixes all those issues and I can truly say I really enjoy the game now, its on par with the others...and dare I say, I even enjoy the motion controls, haven't even tried the button controls once, as I'm doing very well without them.

Both here. My household needs a 2nd Switch, so the OLED is a fine addition, and this Steam Deck looks way too good to pass up.

@Azuris Well said and that's what I think as well. I have literally zero interest in gaming on my cell phone as its already used for a thousand other things.

Wasn't too impressed with the demo tbh. I backed this on Kickstarter, love R-Type, and I hope the rest is better. Press L to set your ship to the fastest speed possible and then set difficulty to Bydo and its better.

I collect a ton and I have a mix of CIB games and loose carts, I do prefer CIB with the genuine parts, but the firm rule I have is to always get the manual. I think this make playing the games more enjoyable and you don't have to look up the controls on the net, and it typically gives you a little back story and cool art to look at.

Overall, I range from having sealed CIB games to reproduction CIB (box is repro, rest is real) when the genuine box is too expensive to buy. And I also own reproduction fakes, such as DQVI on the SNES, simply because I wanted to play it on an SNES but don't speak Japanese so the Super Famicom version is of no use to me.

For reproduction, I think they're fine for personal use, but obviously anyone who buys one and then tries to pass it off as the real thing is a crook and no different than selling fake art, as an art dealer. That is unacceptable and it is a crime, as you're lying about what you are selling. But having a repro for your own personal use, no different than having a copy of a famous painting in your house, is perfectly fine by me.

And when I can, I go physical over digital 90% of the time. The current PS3 fiasco is a good reminder why.

Well written article. I think many of us see it as a good game, but compared to other Zeldas, it simply is not up to snuff. I think Windwaker, BoTW, and even the OG and the SNES entry, are much better. This one is good...but a bit mediocre in comparison. That being said, I've already pre-ordered mine as I'm a huge Zelda fan...perhaps I will like it better the 2nd time around.

I was disappointed...I expected much more Zelda for its 35h anniversary. I get that others are coming later, but overall, it was mildly disappointing.

Mario + Rabbids was great fun and I hope we see a sequel. I'll be picking up Immortals at some point as well.

I am still on my launch day Switch, but I will definitely get a Zelda themed one...if such a thing is announced this year. Me and the wife share the Switch and she is getting more into it, so it'll be perfect for a 2nd addition.

I play Duck Hunt on the Wii U all the time, as its my wife's favorite game...when that was re-released, it was a big day at my house. We use the Nyko hand gun peripheral from the Wii era and turn off the aim cursor. It is as fun as it was in the 80s.

This game further proves that, when done right, exercise games for the sake of exercise (not dance), can sell very well. That being said, I personally still prefer old school DDR.

@JasmineDragon Its outsold them for 25 months straight in the US, not just this year. And obviously around the world by similar degrees...look at their home country of Japan. Where is Sony? To me, the PS4 and Xbox One, which I own both, have been the disappointment. All this shows is opinions vary greatly.

@TheFox I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 era, and I mostly game at home, with a litany of new and old consoles at my disposal, and in my opinion, the Switch may end up being my favorite console of all time. I'm not ready to proclaim that yet, but it is approaching that sort of status. I didn't expect that when I bought it...my favorite before the Switch was the NES.

So what you're saying is, Nintendo had an alright year.

GBA and especially the NES edition. Very small, plays great games and fits in most pockets. And you can still see the screen well enough to actually play it.

Glad I have Lego City on physical. With the Wii U gamepad, its better there than on Switch.

I agree, as a physical collector I always look out for those that make sense and skip those that don’t. The 1st Sonic Mania Collectors edition came with a Sonic statue and a mini Genesis, but no game... only a code. I canceled my order and waited for the real thing instead. For Untitled Goose Game, I bought the collectors physical for $40... played and beat it, thought it was mediocre....resold it for $40 on EBay. Can’t do that with digital. So there is good reason to get physical... but be smart about it.

I played FFVII for the first time this year on the Switch and I absolutely loved it. Great RPG. Looking forward to trying the recent PS4 remake.

Nice review! Love all the options, filters, screen sizes and side gadgets added on. The collection would've been great without those, so its a nice addition. A bit of a miss on the historical content, but hey...that SNK Collection stands head and shoulders above almost any other with the stuff they included. Can't wait for my physical order from Amazon Japan to get here today!

The review was so poor I can't imagine a solitary patch will fix how enjoyable the game is. This is one you pick up at 50% off in a year...maybe less.

This was the best game shown in my opinion. Reminded me of the Messenger, which overall was a very good game. Looking forward to this release.

Call me suspect. I assume they have more backing than Atari and hope they come out with something better than they have...but what could they possibly come up with that will actually sell, given the existing competition?

The PushSquare review says its 4-5 hours long. That is awfully short.

I'm with you and I own both a PS4 and an Xbox One S...yet the drive to get one of these new consoles is currently next to nothing. I am not impressed with what they are peddling and the price they are asking for. I can also say that this is also a reflection of how unimpressed both the PS4 and Xbox One S have left on me, that I have no rush to commit more money to them. I do love the PSVR though.

Disappointed to say the least. Off the wish list it goes.

Got it one day early yesterday and loving it so far.

I have already bought it and am waiting for it to arrive. I can't wait for next year's dual screen NES Zelda one. The G&W for Zelda in the late 80s is one of the most advanced ones, so we are for sure getting something similar next year. Bottom screen would be the action, top screen the menu.

I'm not sure I can get around those very ugly graphics. They are hideous.

Just the Switch for now, along with a PS4 and Xbox One S. I need more new and exclusive games to play before I buy either of the new consoles. $500 to have current games look better is not a winning formula for me.

Nintendo is worth $62 billion as of this moment. Nintendo routinely has the most cash savings of any Japanese company. But they’re not that smart?! My god, what an insane and stupid statement. This man will never understand the Switch.

@Heavyarms55 More room would definitely be better. I live in a 1,050 square foot condo and I am able to set up some good tracks between my living room and my kitchen, but I have an open floor plan, so no walls and plenty of floor space between them. You need some room, but not an overt amount.

Every week Nintendo sells more Switches than MSFT does in the entire Xbox lifetime. Depending on which side you are, it'll either make you laugh or cry. I like Xbox, but I still laugh!

@Clammy Yeah, that will probably be the go to route...sadly.

I enjoyed a lot of buzzed parties with 1-2 Switch at launch, had guests rolling and laughing at its silly games and what it made you do. So its that one for me.

Now if they could make a kart that also enable you to put in any amiibo you want, and see that driver come to life on your TV, that would be very cool as well.

Nice to hear from the fine folks who brought this amazing product to life. It is very impressive and a ton of fun to behold and play. I wholeheartedly recommend this game/toy to anyone on the fence...it works, its amazing to see and most of all, it is a ton of fun to design your course, use your homes furnishing or whatever else as obstacles in the course, and then try them out.

I beat it twice, on the Dreamcast and the GCN, and I would love to play it again on the Switch. Add in some QoL features, give us higher resolution and frame rates, and I'm sure it'll sell well as the RPG is very well remembered. Take my money, Sega!

Oh so disappointed. I loved the first one, played it all the way through with the DLC and was really looking forward to it. I'll probably still pick it up. Hopefully they can improve the performance and load times. And I agree, the screens look awfully blurry. That needs to be fixed.
