First game I can remember playing was Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES at my cousins house. At some point my other cousin lent us their NES. I remember playing Hook and a wrestling game with special moves. That might be how I got to experience Ninja Turtles, I'm not really sure where that fits on the time line. Later we picked up a Snes with Super Mario All Stars, a Super Game Boy, and Mario Land 2. Then I begged my parents for a copy of Pokemon Blue and the rest is history

@Browny I'm right there with you with 9 being my favorite game ever. I don't think it's a boring game at all, though it is a bit slow with no real replay value. I do remember that it didn't click for me the first time I played it so maybe you're on to something 😏

Grinding on rails while listening to a peaceful environmental piece just feels off. Just spitballing here, but I feel like an adaptive soundtrack that picks up in intensity with the speed/action would be a huge improvement.
