@Ryu_Niiyama I think I made it sound more exciting than it was, There was this one part where the ledges were close but you have to solve a puzzle to get across. I was just like 'no thanks' and recoiled my way there.
I went with Bulbasaur for my starter, as it comes with a vegetable. Eating a charmander seems like the weirdest choice of the three to me for some reason.
I went with Eevee over Pikachu simply based on their real world inspirations. Wouldn't want to eat a mouse.
Miltank over exeggcute. This is hard, I love steak, but properly cooked scrambled eggs is one of my favorite foods. When I thought about it at first I pictured eating like a hard boiled egg with eyes. That would be kinda weird.
Rowlet I imagine is basically just poultry with a vegetable side. Jigglypuff seems like it would have a rubbery texture.
I feel like most people would go with poultry over dog meat. And the poll agrees.
Again probably Togepi over Happini because it's just poultry. Probably. No idea what a chansey would taste like.
I can't even imagine what an unown would taste like.
The gold and silver legendaries is a weird question. Seems like they'd taste the same? I went with Suicune cause it's my least favorite.
Went with Bellsprout, but either seems fine.
I guess Wailord over exeggutor, at least it's meat.
Definitely Loppunny, I've never tried rabbit meat.
Can we assume Arceus is similar to goat? That'd probably be better than Mewtwo.
Probably Alcremie, since I feel like Vanilluxe would just taste like ice despite appearances.
I'm going with Polteageist even though I don't really drink tea out of morbid curiosity. The alternative is basically just milk I imagine
Oh man, I'll take any excuse to gush about how great Uematsu is. He's not just my favorite video game composer, he's my favorite musician, period. I'd say he's more than earned his rest.
Let's remember that Pokémon is the most profitable media franchise in the world. Any developer would be tripping over themselves to work on this. And yet we're stuck with looks it up ILCA
I really enjoyed Skyward Sword. The motion controls made good on the promise of the Wii, and I liked the more linear take on the formula. Plus, a time traveling adventure on an ancient pirate ship? That's gotta be my favorite dungeon.
@Ramen756 I guess I like Shulk fine enough, but visually he just doesn't do it for me. Pretty much every original party member has a stronger design in my opinion. My Xenoblade dream character is Fiora.
I'm really happy to see that Nintendo doesn't feel like they have to stick with main characters for Smash additions. Pyra is a much better design than Rex, and I can think of a few Xenoblade characters I would have prefered over Shulk...
I actually enjoyed grinding in the original. The auto battle lets you hand pick which moves to use and doesn't limit you to just attacking, so it was kind of like a puzzle to select the right moves to beat every encounter in a dungeon. I think I even managed the mp so I could grind indefinitely. Then you can just turn your brain off and reap the rewards while you watch tv and totally break the game.
I don't know if I can handle the voice acting and character designs though.
I dunno, it seems like a classic Nintendo move to just come out with a SMB2 homage out of nowhere after showing zero interest in doing so for twenty years

It was hilarious reaching the other ledge by blowing myself up with a bomb. Pretty sure that wasn't the intended solution 😂

Re: Review: Stitchy in Tooki Trouble - Pretty But Painfully Average DKC-Inspired Platforming
Kinda weird to take so much inspiration from the Returns games. That's like (but not as bad as) going out of your way to rip off Disney Star Wars

@VoidofLight "And this is why I don’t card for CNN" Huh. Usually I'd be able to tell if that was a typo or not.
