Re: No, This Nintendo Ad Didn't Raise The Price Of The Switch - It's Just Canadian

One thing about Switches being more expensive here in Canada... If you collect PC optimum points buy your Switch or games from a Shoppers Drug Mart. Gave money to my dad to buy on seniors discount day, and in the end paid about $140CDN for my Switch, minus the seniors discount and points I used. Not to mention the occasional special points day (ie spend 200,000 points = $300 off).

He didn't even say anything bad? As matter of fact he is right about at least one thing. I'm sure plenty of devs get badgered constantly for multiple things to be added, and after a certain point I'm sure it becomes annoying.

I take more issue with Able Gamers. They tend to take the smallest of comments or issues and makes them something bigger. Another one of those organizations with noble intentions, but obnoxious people behind it.

Re: Monster Hunter Movie's Chinese Premiere Reportedly Cancelled Due To Racist Joke

This from the same country that has a commercial that puts a black man in a washing machine and comes out Chinese man. Then again, for the past 5 years everything is considered racist now (unless against a certain race, then racism is ok).
But all is ok, thanks to a certain virus, China is currently the only booming country financially, so they say jump, we say how high now.

How is it "snobbish" for people to expect a game to have consistent fps (whether at 30 or 60) when a game is made specifically for a single system. It's not like this is a game on multiple platforms or has to take into account multiple PC setups. It shouldn't have been hard to keep it at 30 without drops.

Oh and yes, some people do get motion sickness with low fps...but lets just call them snobs and clowns and act like we're better🙄

With so many uninspired AAA games lately and for the past while, shady moves by publishers (this being one of them), I'm just happy I have such a massive backlog of unplayed games on my PC still. The way the gaming industry has been going, they've actually been saving me a lot of money by simply not buying games anymore (well, with the exception of old classics on GOG)

Also how are people comparing a subscription service like Netflix, where it's less than $15/month for hundreds of movies or tv shows...to paying for a SINGLE game like this? Compare Netflix to Game Pass or EA's service, where you are getting MULTIPLE games for your monthly subscription.

Re: Nintendo Clamps Down On The Sale Of Characters And Items In Animal Crossing: New Horizons For Real Money

If somone is willing to part with their own money for a villager, I really don't care. Saw Raymond going for $100 on ebay PLUS charging $20 for shipping. I followed the listing and it had 3 bids on it on the final day, with an account with zero feedback being the only bidder, which makes me think the seller was trying to fake interest in it.

Anyway, I honestly do not see the appeal of a lot of these popular villagers (personally). After a villager left I challenged myself to get a non-amiibo villager within 25 nmt and got Audie on 24. Had her move in, then move out right away. Gave her away for 10 pears.
Because a deal for her fell through, I offered the person who originally wanted her any choice of an amiibo villager (since I use nfc stickers now). He wanted Marshal. So I've had Marshal for the past 3 days while he waits for a villager to leave and I don't get it. He is utterly basic and boring, and I hate saying that as I love squirrels.

Btw, if you like Marshal, Raymond or any of the popular ones. I'm happy for you and hope you enjoy them or get them in the future. Just saying I don't get the appeal of them one bit, especially to the point of paying real world money.

Re: China Bans Sales Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons In Suspected Censorship Scuffle

"Keep politics out of games"...Yes I agree. Devs should keep politics out of games. As for people playing the games they bought? Feel free to do as you please. Want to make your island a capitalist, communist or fascist one in AC? Do as you please.
The fact people put the blame at those in HK over the communist Chinese government is baffling.

@Noid You will feel different when people view what YOU say to be hatred and propaganda and then you get censored. Censorship of ANY kind is awful.

Re: Video: We've Played Pokémon Rival Temtem, And We Can't Wait For It To Hit Switch

zombi3wolf

I really don't get the pokemon fans who actually seem bitter that a little indie game is getting more praise. The devs are listening to the community unlike game freaks. It's in early access so it won't be perfect, but by majority so far, it's still better than S&S. I for one am glad temtem exists as it might just be the kick in the rear game freaks needs, especially seeing as this will be on all platforms.

Picked this up on PC last year when the devs were giving half of the proceeds to a mental health charity and was on the fence at the time about the game. While the game took me 9 hours to complete (not taking my time, nor rushing through) it was well worth it. It reminded me why I actually prefer shorter linear games like this over open world games I never finish or return to ever.
