Back in November, Ubisoft confirmed it was planning post-launch DLC for Immortals Fenyx Rising. So far, that's given us cosmetic crossovers between Blood of Zeus and Adventure Time, but we'd been waiting on the first story expansion, "A New God".
Having initially been listed for January 21st, it's available now on the Switch eShop. Taking place after the main story's conclusion, A New God will allow us to explore Olympos Palace, and Ubisoft outlined just what you can expect within this statement:
Immortals Fenyx Rising's first DLC, Immortals Fenyx Rising: A New God, is available on all platforms on January 28 and tasks Fenyx with overcoming the Trials of the Olympians to take their rightful place in the Greek pantheon.
A New God will allow players to explore Olympos Palace and interact with new gameplay mechanics as they traverse the new trials built by the gods. Along the way, players will unlock four surprising new ability upgrades for Fenyx and a new gear set with fantastic perks fit for a god such as letting you perform additional jumps.
Out of the three DLC episodes, A New God is the only one that'll focus on Fenyx, as "Myths Of The Eastern Realm" and "The Lost Gods" are introducing us to new protagonists. Presently, their release dates remain unconfirmed and though their previous eShop listing suggested February 25th and April 1st respectively, this has since been updated to "2021".
A New God is now available for £11.99, alongside a Season Pass covering all three episodes for £32.99. If you've not picked up Immortals yet but were interested in it, a demo was made available recently too, so why not take a look?
Did you pick up Immortals Fenyx Rising last month? Planning to grab the DLC? Tell us down below in the comments.

Its a good game and runs well enough on switch but not good enough to make me want to buy more DLC for it.
I will wait for the inevitable GotY edition on PlayStation to play the full game.
Picked up the game over Christmas and have been enjoying immensely. Interesting story and fantastic overall vibe. Will likely get the season pass once I finish the main story.
I was excited for this last week. But they changed the release date and my excitement dwindled. May still pick it up as I adored the base campaign.
Is finn and jake going to be a god? (The god of cring.)
I got it over crimbo and have just started it and so far am really enjoying it.
What's everyone think of this game? Saw on trusted reviews it's half price physical on ebay but I have a ridiculous backlog
So is this basically botw with geek gods?
The first DLc seems to be a "more of the same" type of expansion. But the second and the third ones look amazing!
This is a fantastic game, hope its sold well enough to warrant a sequel!
It's a very good game and I'm looking forward to playing this expansion this weekend. I didn't mind paying full price for it but if anyone is on the fence, at least Ubisoft are known for having constant sales
Great game but not sure the DLC is value for money or enough new gaming experiences for me.
Enjoyed the game but I certainly don't need even more of it!
@Jedge396 The majority of the impressions I've seen is that it's very fun. I have to agree and there's a lot of content already in the base game.
I am half way through the main game. I’ve went off on a lot of side quests and treasure hunts. As of last night I was 42 hours into the game. It’s Ubisoft so you don’t have to pay full price, they discount often. However the game is worth it at full price.
@Mr-Fuggles777 don't think UB makes goty editions. Next best thing is keeping your eyes open for a Gold Edition sale. They had some sales for like $70 during chtismas. Would not be shocked if within 2 years we see the gold Ed for around 25-30, as we seen AC Odyssey many times now.
Really enjoying this game, but I'm not sure I care enough about more content. I'm fine with the base game then I'll move onto a few other games I haven't played yet. Maybe if the DLC goes down in price I'll be tempted.
@jockmahon more like a cartoony AC Odyssey with Greek gods. It plays more similarly to AC Odyssey than BOTW. It was made by the same team as AC Odyssey, too.
@Jedge396 I've put about 50 hours in so far and I'm really enjoying it. I would definitely recommend it but I think it's been on sale at some random outlet since like week two so if you have a backlog probably no rush in getting it.
One thing that has put me off playing it lately is the repetitiveness. Reveal new area, find all icons on map, complete all icons, move through story, rinse and repeat. If all the side stuff didn’t make me stronger, I probably wouldn’t do it.
@Paranoid_Android Thanks
Anybody know if the Switch actually ever got a demo? There's a past tense link in the article - "a demo was made available " - to a story about the PS4 maybe getting a demo, and that article was never updated saying there was in fact a Switch demo.
While I have picked up this game for a very reasonable £23.00 and yet to play it, the dlc does seem quite high in comparison.
Not sure how DLC 2 & 3 will work with completely new characters. If we're starting over it feels like we're just being sold small new games.
they are really forcing this game down my throat recently
Tempted to pick it up, but still debating between getting the Switch or PC version.
I'll probably be waiting for the inevitable Gold Edition for this game.
@jockmahon Basically, you can climb anything, go anywhere, stamina based, it has 4 main dungeons and a bunch of shrines or as this game calls them "Vaults", different horses and mounts, a magnesis type ability, I could go on and on
Nice New Day reference, Henry.
