Re: Talking Point: Will Xenoblade Chronicles X Finally Tie Into The Wider Series On Switch?

voidemissary

@fR0z3nS0u1 I'd love to see one as well, but SquEnix is the owner of the IP. If Monolith were to remake Xenogears, they would have to change a lot. Also, Xenoblade 3 is literally soaking with references to Gears, such as reincarnating pair of main characters, fighting against an organization that controls the world from the shadows, Matthew looks like Fei (hello?) etc.

So, for me remake of Xenogears needs to be done with cooperation with the IP owners and that might never happen or we might need to wait a long looong time.

Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

Depending on the specs I am willing to pay from $400 to $500. Of course, as a member of EU nation, this price will be slightly different, but it's ok. Reasoning behind my statement is, that I don't have PS5, I won't be buying PRO and prefer to stay with my PC, Series S for emulation station and buy Switch 2 almost exclusively for new Monolith Soft games.

Re: Nintendo Life's Switch Summer Survey 2024

This survey was definitely not aimed at someone like me - person who literally owns Switch to give my money to Monolith Soft (least fav. will always remain Chronicles 2, because I hate horny character designs, too old for this ***** to have any appeal to me).

Switch 2 launches with new Xenoblade or any game from Monolith - day 1 purchase, thank you, period.

Re: AI Generator Scraped YouTube Videos Without Permission, Including Nintendo's

Ahh, AI, the flood of glorified large language models. This AI thingy is a perfect example we are lazy and we want to have stuff done without effort.

Let's not forget that effort, friction, problems and sadness are what made us get here. I'd rather go back to 90's and use early software and grow this way than use all this "loud and flashy" software that does the job for you. But I'm a boomer wanting boomer things.

Fine? Sure Prison? No.

No matter if it's Japan, US or EU - corporations have too much leeway when it comes to holding us to their ToS. Too bad we can't hold the corporations to respect consumer laws to the same extent.

Sorry, but anyone who thinks the other way is either too young to understand or a corporate rat himself.

Re: Switch Emulator Yuzu To Pay $2.4 Million To Nintendo & Cease Development

voidemissary

I'll make it simple for everyone here.

Piracy is bad, but going after emulator and demanding money from someone just because some people use mentioned emulator to play pirated games isn't either classy nor just.

I'd suggest you americans (I'm from EU so not all applies) start lawsuits against weapon manufacturers, because their product was a tool for killing people. No, better, go for knife manufacturers because someone used a knife to stab someone. Crap, there's even a better way - sue your parents, because they gave your life and you'll inevitably lose it one day.

Dang, humanity is really dumb and always find a reason to steal from each other, to name and shame each other and make lives miserable.
