Re: YouTube Stars Aren't Happy With Nintendo's Revenue-Sharing 'Creators Program'

vattodev

As much as I dislike it, I believe that a program is the way to go. There is positive marketing, and this is why they should have a program, but Nintendo has been target of MUCH hatred and biased criticism regarding their games. This was so strong at a certain point that I literally unsubscribed to major gaming channels.
I see what Nintendo is doing as "If you're going to be nice with our content, we can make money together. If you're not, I will take your video out of youtube".
I just hope that Nintendo is smart enough to charge nearly nothing from very big youtubers.

Re: Second Week of Throwback Sale Goes Live on North American eShop

vattodev

Ok, Nintendo, you got me again. I know I promised to not buy anything until 6 months after MH4U, but you announced a fire emblem gam and rereleased punch out and metroid prime trillogy. Just please tell me that Zelda and Xenoblade X are scheduled for the end of the year. If youd are to release Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn I'll be forced to buy it too.

Re: Nintendo Steps Away From The Brazilian Market

vattodev

@Nintendo_Ninja I'm not so sure about that. We've always had high taxes. Somehow Nintendo's Wii U became more expensive with the years. I bought mine imported on launch for R$ 1350. Now that gaming distributes it, it costs 1850. I'm not sure what happened here, but as far as I know the Wii U got it's price DROPPED, instead of raised about 50%!

Re: The Nintendo Wii U Is Better Value For Money Than Xbox One Or PS4, Says Reggie

vattodev

Wii U brought many amazing games and I love it for that. But I disagree with him. The sad reality is that the Wii U is going to be only Nintendo games for a long while and that lowers the value of the package. $299 with one game and a DLC doesn't bring much either. $299 with Mario Kart 8 and Smash is one thing, NSMBU+L is another completely different. Either they can bundle the Wii U with better games or lower the price. Xbox One is just $50 more and that's what the consumer is going to see.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Removed Tharja From Super Smash Bros. To Avoid A Higher Age Rating

vattodev

Is there a need to always make a big deal about everything? You even asked a question that you already answered!
"If this is true, why is Nintendo treating Tharja in such a shoddy fashion?"
"Conjecture suggests that Nintendo removed Tharja because her clothing is too revealing and would have forced the game into a higher age rating bracket,"
Also, ERSB is to blame for Tharja being removed. If they received a version with her, then it's their fault that she isn't in the final version.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Development of Games That Will Have "Improved" Gameplay and "Enhanced" Graphics on New 3DS

vattodev

If they keep this "enhance" and "improve" they won't break the fan base very hard. But if they start pumping great games for the New 3DS then they are going to be in trouble. The bright side is that everything that was announced for 2015 is available for the old 3DS. Which means that 3DS customers are going to have at least an year before they really force us to change.

Re: Review: Bayonetta (Wii U eShop)

vattodev

So comparing this grade with the Xbox 360's grade we can see that NintendoLife's grade is among the 10 lowest grades for that version on metacritic. They have a total of 86 reviews. That's on the bottom 11% lowest grades for Bayonetta 1.

Re: Review: Bayonetta (Wii U eShop)

vattodev

A little bit bellow average since the 360 version have a metacritic of 90. I don't know why, but every recent (two weeks or so) review on NintendoLife is usually 1 or 2 points bellow what I would expect. And that's very weird since for almost an year now this site was usually grading games pretty much the same as what I expect.

Re: A 3DS Can be Used as a Controller in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

vattodev

System stability, right? Too stable for horses, right?
All those "stability" jokes look very poor now that they finally unveiled the reason why they had to change 3DS' system so much. New 3DS with hardware upgrades uses the same system, 3DS now works as a pro controller for the Wii U, Miiverse can be locked on games that demand more memory. Too stable, right?

Re: Project CARS Wii U Delay Was To Ensure It's As Good As Other Versions, Says Dev

vattodev

Well, I just wonder if they are going to charge full price for the Wii U version. For anyone that has more than one console or a good PC, when they charge full price for a 6 months old game it really means that it costs twice as much because the price on the other systems is going to be halved by then. And that's just unreasonable unless you explain why people should wait longer to pay more.

Re: You Can't Count Nintendo Out, Says Activision CEO

vattodev

@Omarpixel9 To be fair, I agree that the Wii U can't handle yearly COD games. Most of us are not COD fanatics. I only want a one, maybe two COD games. Ghosts was too similar to be considered an improvement. But I think they should have pushed Advance Warfare to the Wii U because it seems like a refreshing experience and I've seen more Wii U owners interested in it than we were in Ghosts.

Re: Somebody At Ubisoft Really Doesn't Like Mario Kart 8's Mercedes-Benz DLC

vattodev

I see, giving free sponsored DLC is bad because it's based on a real car, but it's to ok to charge real money for weapons in Splinter Cell BlackList that are blocked unless you buy them, are the 2nd strongest weapons in the game and you can use from start if you payed for it. Ubisoft's logic.
And I didn't even say anything about their announcement of microtransactions on Assassin's Creed.

Re: System Update 8.1.0-19 Now Available on 3DS

vattodev

Anti-hack is always good for regular users. Don't get me started with how much I hated hackers in MHTri on the Wii. That's all in the past now and I hope MH4U doesn't suffer from the same game breaking morons that doesn't want to have fun hunting monsters and thinks that a cheated HR 999 means that they are too good to play with real skilled players.
We already have enough problems with competitive Pokemon because of hacks. Keep them away as much as possible, Nintendo!

Re: Feature: Hyrule Warriors - Everything We Know So Far

vattodev

@Vrael Don't wait for the review. That's exactly what the review is going to say. But anyone that played other Musou games know that it's only true in normal difficulty, which usually means up to LVL 20. You can play the entire story mode in that difficulty, but then you won't grow further. On higher difficulty levels the game becomes an intense crowd control game in which you can't get hit more than two or three times. Your skills and reach usually improve too, so your character gets better and better and become able to finish the hardest quests on the hardest difficulties without a single hit. But that's only if you use the combos that leave you least vulnerable and tailor your skill set to bring most of those attacks.

Re: Majora's Mask Fan Project Gets a New Trailer, Even Showing a Scene on 3DS

This article is misleading. There is no remake. It's just fan art. I'll quote the video description from their channel:

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Release in Japan Sees New Circle Pad Accessory

vattodev

It's actually a great idea! It's finally a decent challenger for the claw. The claw was by far the best option for MH games because you could roll to a direction and change the camera at the same time. It was even better for bows, because you could charge, walk and turn the camera all at once.
I'll probably not buy it, though. I like the freedom of carrying only my 3DS.
