Re: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Rise Of The Phoenix DLC Releases On 23rd December

uncleMike

@Hrimfaksi Yes and No...

Yes, grinding multiple teams to 150 did feel like a chore.

No, I did not grind them out just for the sake of "wasting time".

The last Gauntlet from the Curse of the Vampire DLC is level 120. It's also pretty tough, imo. Grinding at least 4 characters to 150 definitely helps.

After that, there really isn't too much else to do in the game but level up characters. Also, it's the only way to gain AEP.

I love this game too. I think that I'm just a little burnt out... Maybe I shouldn't be so harsh.

Re: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Rise Of The Phoenix DLC Releases On 23rd December

uncleMike

I like the character additions, but I'm just so disappointed with the direction of the DLC packs...

No new Story Modes, more Gauntlets, and the level cap is being raised to 200... I literally JUST finished raising my final 4-Man team to 150!!!

I really wanted to like this game, but it's starting to just feel like a "Grindfest" to me. I paid $20 and waited another 3 months, just to play another round of cheap ass Gauntlets. Also, to continue to grind it out on the same damn Infinity Trials. Padding at it's finest... Ruined my night!!!

DLC news for this game was my biggest anticipation for the VGA, however, I'm now strongly considering turning my back on MUA3.

Re: Tekken 7 For Switch Depends On Fan Demand According To Katsuhiro Harada

uncleMike

Xbox and Sony fans are NEVER asked to Port Beg, but Nintendo fans always are (even with a system that is selling like hotcakes).

I enjoyed Tekken Tag 2 on the WiiU and Soul Calibur 2 on the GameCube, but not enough to beg. The Switch install base is justification enough, in my opinion, for a release.

Besides, the Switch has plenty of other fighters. Also, Mortal Kombat is right around the corner. I will just spend my money elsewhere.

Re: Watch Out Sony, A New Report Predicts The Switch Will Outsell The PS4 In 2019

uncleMike

@rjejr You're definitely right about Sony winning the Gen. Truthfully, I feel that they won the Gen before Switch even launched.

That being said, maybe my Nintendo Bias has gotten the best of me. I still feel that it's a Win.

Nintendo's handheld system always sell well, true. The Switch is no different. Although, I like seeing Nintendo play to their strengths. I feel that they are more relevant than they've been in a long time, and have carved out a more significant piece of the overall market.

Re: Bethesda Confirms It Won't Be Bringing Fallout 76 To The Nintendo Switch

uncleMike

@BigKing

You don't have to imagine. I've been gaming since the 80's, and I'm Switch only (for consoles). Also, don't need your money/GoFundMe.

Lastly, I get your points. Sure, the Switch isn't as powerful as PS4/XB1. Most people understand that already, I hope. Although, that doesn't give you an excuse to be a Jerk about it.

What's the point of celebrating every game that doesn't come to Switch? Do you really want to be "that guy", stating the obvious, just for attention?

Re: Review: Starlink: Battle For Atlas - A Shining Example Of Open World Star Fox Done Right

uncleMike

@Nico07

Appreciate your response.

I really only care about StarFox. Let's say I just want Fox/Arwing (digital) and all the weapons for my Arwing. I'm guessing Ubisoft will "generously" charge me $80, right? I don't like that...

I suppose I could live with that purchase, that is, until the next real StarFox game comes out...for $60. Although, I know better than to hold my breath waiting for a StarFox release.

Hmmm, maybe I'll think about it.

Re: Review: Starlink: Battle For Atlas - A Shining Example Of Open World Star Fox Done Right

uncleMike

@brunojenso

Agreed... Except I hope that it doesn't do well at all. I hope this game crashes and burns. Sorry, "Can't let you do that StarFox".

After reading the review and comments, and getting a good night's sleep. If someone asked me tomorrow, how much does this game cost?, I wouldn't be able to remember. That's not a good sign, for me. The only thing that I would remember, is that this game is too damn expensive...and complicated. Almost as if there are too many price options.

I appreciate people in the comment section taking time to explain the pricing, and values of each purchase. Although, at the end of the day, it feels like I'm paying too much.

Re: Surprise! A Special Version Of The Legend Of Zelda Has Appeared In The Switch's NES Library

uncleMike

@G_M

Lol @"pure laziness"

Pure laziness, as opposed to not having anything at all. Uh ... Yeah... That doesn't make any sense. Sounds more like "pure entitlement", to me.

As for kissing up to Nintendo. I actually never mentioned Nintendo, in my comment. I mentioned that fan service should be embraced. On any level, large or small, it exist only for the player. If you don't like it then don't play it. Calling it "lazy", as if you were promised something more, sounds entitled.

All in my opinion, of course.

Re: Hackers Have Now Found A Way To Emulate Nintendo 64 Games On Switch

uncleMike

@carlos82 Yea...

I've wanted HD Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask since the Operation Moonfall days. Day 1 purchase for me, and I have not given up hope.

That being said, I think that a release like that takes proper timing. They couldn't release it too closely to the 3DS remakes (which were both awesome). Also, currently, you can't release it now because Breath of the Wild is still relatively new.

So... I hope that it happens. I think that it will happen... But not anytime soon, probably late in the Switch's lifespan.

Re: Poll: Is Your Nintendo Switch Cracking Under The Pressure?

uncleMike

Wow and Yikes...

Thankfully, no cracks in my console. Now... My pro controller is a completely different story. Right Analog stick crapped out on me within the first 6 months. I sent it in for repairs, and Left Analog stick died a few weeks later.

Some kinda weird issue with the "dead zone", from my limited understanding.

Re: Hackers Have Now Found A Way To Emulate Nintendo 64 Games On Switch

uncleMike

@SmaggTheSmug I feel the same way, but...

I think that Nintendo is really trying to brand this "Legacy... Uh... Thing lol"
I notice that Reggie keeps using the word.

That being said, look, let's be honest. If they don't start the service with Nes games, nobody's gonna care about Nes games (further down the road). As good as the Nes was, it can't hold a candle to the SNes and N64 classics.

More platforms will come, but initially this is the smart move.

Re: Hackers Have Now Found A Way To Emulate Nintendo 64 Games On Switch

uncleMike

@Djgoa I disagree...

These are Hackers, and this is what Hackers do. I have a few roms on PC, myself. I won't judge, however, let's not turn these individuals into Robin Hood/Hero types.

As for Nintendo, they should focus on the Switch. I have bought N64 games a few times over, already (N64, Wii and WiiU virtually console). Frankly, I am in no hurry to spend money on games that I already have on my WiiU virtually console.
