Wii Sports had the same impact on my family and friends. Bowling and Golf were our favorites. It brought so much joy to my heart watching "non-gamers" show their competitive sides.

I would love a port of either Wii Sports Resort or the original... with the controller included, of course.

Truthfully, I did not buy the expansion but only because I own the OoT and MM 3DS remakes. Those are the only N64 games that I care about, and in my opinion the 3DS versions are just too well done for me to "go backwards".

Now, with all of that being said, I chose to make fun of some of the whining. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this service has had a target on it's back ever since Nintendo began charging for it.

Lastly, about those numbers... We know that they exist but I don't believe that they're being hidden. In my honest opinion, any shareholder/investor does not have time for weekly updates (it's a waste of time, which is why no company operates in that way). The service is still very much in it's infancy.

@SwitchForce Yeah... I've noticed that a lot too. Typically, here, whenever you say something positive about Nintendo (the business entity, not the games/consoles), the go-to response is... "Nintendo is not your friend". I mean yeah... lol no kidding, right?

I really don't think anyone here is buying $60 games hoping for Nintendo's friendship. Lastly, no company drops prices to be friendly. Companies do it to make money... Does that make sense?

Nintendo won't launch the next console until the Switch passes the Wii in lifetime sales (definitely gonna happen, if not already), and gets closer to possibly surpassing DS lifetime sales (I have my doubts, but with a price drop and continued production even after the next console...maybe).

I implied that I don't think anyone in this comment section (or any others) cares any more about my interest than Nintendo does. Furthermore, if they do, they need serious help.

I've been buying Nintendo products since the 80's. They haven't always got it right, but obviously they deliver games that I care about... Works for me 💯

Wow... I might give this a try this weekend. Looks nice, I'm definitely getting Sonic Mania type vibes. Although, I won't hold my breath for an official Nintendo release/partnership.

I only beat Zelda 2, just to be able to say that I beat Zelda 2. Truthfully, if not for the Wii VC's Save States, I probably would've given up.

@DK-Fan Good point, but the Switch has a massive install base. Not including Metroid Prime 4 would be absolutely insane. Although, I will admit, I don't think that Prime 4 will release until near the end of the Switch's lifecycle.

I doubt that we'll get an update before the holidays. Nintendo wouldn't want to risk hurting the sales numbers for Metroid Dread.

Sora's air combos are really tempting me to add him to my Mains. I played through Classic Mode just to obtain his Spirit, but he ended up feeling very smooth... Then I injured my thumb moving furniture. Now, I can't play anything 😭

It's really interesting to see all of the different perspectives and values that people attach to this service...

Although the price is more than I expected, I would have upgraded for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask alone 💯. That is, if not for my overwhelming preference towards the 3DS remakes. They look much better than the originals, and I refuse to go back. So... Just like that, this upgrade goes from 💯 to Never.

My sister-in-law, on the other hand, doesn't even care about N64 or Sega. She's upgrading just because of Animal Crossing, and cannot wait.

I'm surprised that they never mentioned this before the release (to my knowledge). You could safely assume that it would only boost sales, stating that this will be the final game of the series.

Not surprising, especially with the release of Metroid Dread being right around the corner.

This really brings me back. My favorite would actually have to be the Boss Battle music. It's simple, catchy, and upbeat with a sense of urgency.

My oldest and favorite memory was playing the original on the NES with my late Aunt. She got me into gaming when I was very young. Whenever we got stuck, we called the Nintendo Hotline for help. Those were good times.

IMO, this shouldn't qualify as Nintendo news but... I'll speculate, why not?

Personally, I don't think that Nintendo has anything to worry about.They've ruled the handheld market with an iron fist, for a very long time. As impressive as this device is, will it sell in Japan? Oh... And by "sell" I mean even make a blip on the radar?

Lastly, it's very impressive hardware but I just don't see this impacting the Switch's future success. I'd assume that most Steam users who have wanted to game portable have already bought a Switch. Most Switch users who have wanted to game on more powerful hardware have already bought a PS5/Xbox Series/Gaming PC. So... Where exactly does that leave this thing, if Valve even decides to stay in game for this Gen?

Oh... From Bloomberg, the same source that has been reporting the bogus Switch Pro rumors. Apparently, now they're the go-to source for Switch OLED info lol.

Even if true, who cares? There's no way Nintendo would launch this model at the same price as the base Switch.

I think that Nintendo's going to end with a first party character. The final announcement has to be huge, so I'm hoping for someone we'd never expect such as: Duck Hunt, Piranha Plant.

@GregamanX I wouldn't have had a problem with either character, but Bandai Namco is a co-developer of Smash Ultimate. I think that they've done a great job and were deserving of another representative.

Truthfully, I'm surprised that they only have 2 characters on the roster.

I think that the final DLC character is guaranteed to be first party...

Everyone knows that there is only one spot left, and the anticipation will be extremely high. I just don't see Nintendo ending this DLC with a character not owned by Nintendo. It would be a terrible business decision/wasted marketing opportunity, imo.

Also, I'm pretty sure that it wasn't chosen because the character is Black. Although, who knows and who cares?

I'm not a Metroid fan either, but this is great news for this franchise. Metroid Dread could be the first game in the series to break 3 million.

Bayonetta 3 traded places with Metroid Dread.

Next update should be in about a decade or two.

I'm asking myself the same question about Bayo 3 and Prime 4. I know that MP4 is a long way from complete, but at least it was mentioned. Bayo 3, on the other hand, is looking more like vaporware every year.

Looked good to me but it seems like Nintendo will focus on Skyward Sword, in 2021. I wouldn't expect any other anniversary announcements, until after SS launches...if at all.

@Razer You should really consider taking your own advice... Even if it was released, it definitely wasn't cross gen (meaning launch title).

The only Zelda cross gen titles are TP and BotW. Also, Switch Pro won't be next gen anyway. So you're entire argument makes no sense.

Regardless, Nintendo cross gen releases only happen for failed consoles. Also, the Switch Pro wouldn't be considered next gen anyway.

@alexybubble I think that the "money hoarders at the top" will be just fine. Obviously, these things happen. I also highly doubt that this will screw EA over for a long period of time, sorry lol.

Please keep in mind that these hackers are not the Robin Hood Champions of Gamers. They'll most likely sell the source code. Their motive wasn't to punish EA. This was done for profit.

Lastly, the real victims are the programmers who have invested countless hours into writing the code. Also, law enforcement who now has to invest their time dealing with these thugs.
