Re: Billy Mitchell Live Streams 1,050,100 Point Donkey Kong Game

God, sitting alone in heaven, had no one to look up to... no one to admire...Then God created Billy and He became “one of us”. Personally I don’t think Billy should be able to “compete” for records as he is part man and mostly God, but I’m dang thankful I share the same air as Billy. Billy teaches us how small and meaningless we are in the universe and the best we could do is watch him play Donkey Kong.

Re: Soapbox: We Like To Grumble, But Nintendo Switch Online Is Actually A Very Generous Offer

It’s garbage. But you get what you pay for. Now you have to pay 20$ to play Splatoon which we’ve been able to play online since near launch for free. Ok woopty doo. Would it have killed them to allow you to play NES games with random people not on your friends list? Yes, I went ahead and bought the year but I also regretted it about 3 minutes after launching the app. Hopefully they will beef it up with better games than a handful of terrible NES games and a few great NES games that everyone has played a billion times.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

theberrage

Unless it’s a game I’ve really been anticipating I will skim the review, read the conclusion and check the score. With the score I will add or subtract 1 point. I don’t believe in 10/10, but I appreciate reviewer assigning a score of some sort.

@Stocksy lol they’ve given 2 Switches away to UK only readers in past 9 months. In fact if you go to the the top and click “competitions” you’ll see many more competitions for UK only readers. Also these giveaways are given to them many times so they don’t control the rules. Thanks for the fun competitions @antdickens and staff

Re: Poll: As "Gaming Disorder" Becomes A Thing, Is It Time To Assess How Much You Play?

theberrage

Companies like EA EXPLOIT addictive behavior through games like Galaxy of Heroes.
-The game is set up like a casino with "loot boxes".
-You have to sign in throughout the day for free rewards that expire after a couple hours, keeping you engaged throughout the day.
-It's all wrapped up in a Star Wars package, we all know how rabid Star Wars fans are...

So yes, I believe gaming addiction is real and some companies know this and exploit it.
