Re: Talking Point: A Virtual Console Revival Could Be Just a Pricing Revolution Away

theberrage

The problem with VC is clearly obvious. While reevaluating the prices would be beneficial from a company standpoint, the real problem is the staleness of the product.
Look at these numbers;
If we exclude the 15 GBA games, %98 of Wii U VC games were already released on Wii and only %21 of Wii VC games have been released on Wii U. Unreleased games and unreleased consoles would really give the service life again.

Re: Nintendo Offers Condolences to Robin Williams' Family and Addresses Petition

@shaneoh Are you omniscient? Do you know the names of all the people who died between this post and your response? If the answer to both is no than I think it's time to get off of your moral high horse.

Here's the facts. You don't know the name of a single person that has died in the world (outside of friend and family) unless the news tells you.

Many people knew the name Robin Williams and have great memories with family and friends because of his movies. Many people were touched deeply by his movies (Mrs. doubtfire helped many cope with divorcing parents).

Someone made the choice to start a petition to honor him and 90k+ signed! also their choice.

Instead of complaining about this on a nintendo life comments section maybe you could start a petition and have people sign it to honor all of the dead unknowns. If you really care.

Re: This Retro City Rampage Map Should Be Handy If You Get Lost

@FragRed "I have yet to buy anything from Nintendo's WiiWare or eShop simply because I am worried that if my system breaks I lose everything"
You probably won't lose EVERYTHING. However, my system had to be repaired and they wiped it clean. Some games (like Donkey Kong Country) were no longer available to download. They did give me credit for those games but I would have rather had the games that I purchased back. The idea that what you purchase will always belong to you is 100% FALSE.
@dumedum Have you ever used Nintendo repairs? They lack any respect for your property or game progress. They will wipe everything off of your hard drive including saves. They even deleted all of my Mii characters including family and friends who have passed away so thats a real bummer. I always took enjoyment of seeing them randomly while playing certain games. Another time they sent my Wii back to me literally disassembled and in pieces. I am refering to NOA repairs btw.

Re: Review: Shovel Knight (Wii U eShop)

@leemeyer26 a reasonable defense of your scoring thoughts. I do feel that the game sets a new standard for the retro genre. If this game were released in the 90s I think we would still be giving it a 10. Mario 3d world got many 10s and I don't think they really reinvented the 3d platformer with it, but I guess that's the power of Mario. Anyway, good review.
