Best mario kart ever. Therefore I will only mention cons to this point in my initial impressions. 1) both rainbow road levels are major disappointments. Especially the 64 version being to short. 2) the game pad struck out as it mainly displays a (useless?) giant horn button. Would've rather had something functional like a rear view on game pad.
This might come off a bit bratty, but here it goes...
Wii Sports Club needs to be completely free for all current Wii U owners. The original 4 sports should also be unlocked, free, and included in all future Wii U consoles.
I love the bonk series. This game looked a bit too generic. I would like to see a new bonk with a graphical style that resembles the new duck tales game. I also think he'd be a good smash bros addition .
I've done nothing but complain about Wii U VC since they've only rereleased games from Wii. That said, having never played a game boy advance before, I have been very happy with the GBA games released. Admittedly, I was very skeptical about GBA released on WiiU. I have downloaded metroid fusion and yoshis island and they are both superb. I look forward to Wario 4 and more GBA games.
I don't think Mario kart 8 or smash bros will result in a big difference in hardware sales. They need to go big for this years e3 to generate some buzz.
2 options. 1) women should be portrayed as stick figures 2) developers need to allow gamers to customize breast size for all female characters. The poll question is hilarious. If you say you're not offended then @damo thinks you have a hard-on. Really the question just needed a yes or no answer.
@Yorumi no that is clearly not the question I asked so don't put it in quotes. I'm asking if you discovered Pokemon ( a game you obviously support) used satanic elements/inspiration would you still play it? Please answer the question or stay quiet (which you want others with different viewpoints to do by means of censorship).
@Yorumi I can assure you I did not make that up. However I also doubt that it is true. But just for fun, what if it were true? Would that change how you feel about Pokemon or would you let it slide because of the relationship created between you and the characters/your perception of Pokemon? If the latter, how would you like it if a group of people succeeded in eliminating Pokemon for your consumption? I bet you'd be disappointed if a group of the politically correct took away one of your interests. It's also not for you to decide what will offend others. Being offended is actually a choice regulated from within. If I'm offended , it's not from what you said but because I allowed myself to be offended. Coming around full circle now, as I will leave the debate, if you don't like it don't buy it. No one is forcing you to play the game, don't ruin for the open minded people who have piqued interest for the game. Vote for more games.
@Yorumi Pokemon's creator has stated that he created Pokemon to rebel against his Christian parents. He wanted the game and world to BE anti-Christian. Therefore, he went out of his way to directly insult his parents and his parents religion. So what I gather from you is that it's ok to attack and insult a group of people as long as it's subliminal and not apparently obvious? I'm just trying to figure out where the line is drawn in what is offensive and what is not.
@Yorumi Someone somewhere can always perceive anything to be offensive. Some people think the Legend of Zelda is dripping with satanic imagery. Is that a Pokemon in your avatar? Don't you know that Pokemon is Satanic? A lot of people believe that. What is more insulting to Christianity than Satan? But I guess you don't see it that way. You're allowed to pick and choose and justify what is wrong and right. This is an example how the moral police are making life dull and sterile for everyone else. Really if you don't like something then don't purchase it, it's quite simple. If not have fun gathering all the worlds books, games, music, art, etc and start a Bon fire but you will never be satisfied nor will you get anywhere in your moral crusade .
Well, Tyrone Rodriguez is definitely entitled to his opinion. However, I wonder what he would consider "more substantial". I don't know how you get more substantial the a controller with a screen on it...
Either way, I'd be wary of this company. Discussions like this should be kept private with Nintendo. Hist statements comes off like a public trashing. Nintendo needs developers that are "buying in" to the system's abilities to make great games... We'll see what happens with 90s Arcade Racer. Based on his comments, my expectations have been further lowered for that game.
I like the list, but as always, I'd like to see more games that have not been released on Wii VC. That said, I'm surprised Earthbound didn't make your cut .
A guy makes a game, releases it free to download , then receives a ton of hate mail. He probably wanted to give something to the world that was meant for fun. It's crazy, the sense of self entitlement of some people.
I came to this site when it was VC-reviews.com (I think) because the virtual console was the main draw for me to purchase the Wii. I have been very disappointed by Wii U's utter lack of virtual console .
@jahasaja I thought the same thing. Journalists, like this guy, sometimes come off as bitter people who do not know as much as they pretend and crave more attention then they deserve. What a cry baby.
@Thats-what-she I don't doubt that it's a great system. However, the numbers don't lie, it has been a sales failure. So far it has been a near wasted opportunity.
Here is all that needs to be said (and I have said over and over): Nintendo needs more quality software. Just think, if GTA 5 was a Nintendo exclusive, do you think we would be talking "Nintendoomed"?
He is sorry to all shareholders? How about sorry to fans and customers who have supported your business by buying your products throughout the years. Re: Talking Point: The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U Should Open Some Doors
I'm all for the adapter. But if it is made a requirement for GameCube VC it will be a step backwards and a disappointment.

Nintendo has pretty much mastered the art of not listening to their fans.
Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Wii U eShop)
@Uberchu It's better than just releasing all of the games already out on Wii VC.

No, the game's portrayal of women is purely for the gratification of male gamers.

@Yorumi of course the question is moot... It's a question... The nature of a question is moot . So why don't you answer the question?

@EmpoleTRON lol so are meaningless comments apparently. thanks for shining your genius upon us.
Re: SNES Classic Super Mario Kart Is Racing To The Wii U Virtual Console This Month
Woopty doo. More VC games that were already released on Wii and therefore already playable from Wii U. Nintendo is truly out of ideas.

Sorry... I don't understand why they are releasing DS games on Wii U...
Re: Talking Point: Is There A Future For The Wii U Without The GamePad?
Off screen tv play is the reason to keep the controller. If they do anything different, find a way to increase range of the game pad .

OK Peter Moore, that is what I want to hear. Now show me you mean it.
I think Sim City would be great with the gamepad.
Re: Yoshi's New Island Hatches in Europe on 14th March

Yes! More terrible VC games that have already been released! Thanks Nintendo, just what your crumbling fan base wanted!
