Re: Video: We Share Our Thoughts On Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom After 100+ Hours In The Game

slaine

Was a huge fan of BotW, and now over 100hours in TotK, about to enter the 4th dungeon. The longer I play TotK the more boring it feels. The game would be okay if it would have been released 2 years after TotK, but 6 years after and only a BotW 1.5 feels hugely disappointing. I redo a LOT of stuff I have already done in BotW, armor is mostly the same, the world is mostly the same.
Building and fusing is fun, but only a minor improvement IMO.
I will not buy another iteration of the same Zelda game, based on yet the same map, same characters, artstyle and assets…
For me personally a major disappointment 6 years after BotW….

Re: New Hades Patch For Nintendo Switch Resolves "Rare" Save Data Load Issues

@Kalmaro Coming from Supergiant this was an instant buy for me. I loved their previous games (Bastion & Transistor) and Hades does not disappoint – it is instantly recognizable as a Supergiant game.

Personally, I prefer the linear levels, sense of progress and storytelling in Bastion & Transistor to the Repeat Loop of Hades. Hades is easy to pick up and play for 30 – 60 minutes (or less). In longer session it seems to get a bit repetitive to me.

However, it is still a great game!

i will most likely get this, although after the last few months i will not get day one purchases for switch ever again (looking at you, bloodstained and mutant year zero).

national retailer lists this as a physical release, so i was a bit irritated about the e-shop logo at the end of the trailer...

Re: Valkyria Chronicles 4: Complete Edition Rolls Out Today On The Nintendo Switch

@AJWolfTill Some of it is nice, some of it feels unnecessary. Here my personal opinion:
– A United Front with Squad 7: Are early-game missions, if you already progressed well into the main game, these will be a piece of cake. New crew members are nice, especially if you played the first game.
– Edy's Advance Ops: I think same as above
– The Two Valkyria: Did not like these missions. You get to play as the valkyrias though…
– Expert Level Skirmishes: just harder skirmishes, does not add any story
– A Captainless Squad: This i can recommend
– Squad E, to the Beach!: This is also a pretty fun addition. Also: unlockable swimsuit costumes : P

this game is so addictive! i struggled at first, but after week 20 or so, i got the hang of it! also there's plenty of online ressources for help.
the handheld touch-interface is superb. i only regret that i didn't buy the radiant edition : /

Re: Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut Is A Killer Puzzler Slashing Its Way Onto Switch

played this on steam – is a really nice little game! you can unlock different killers and different killing styles. the episodes in the menu are displayed as vhs casettes. you can even rewind (glitchy vhs effects included) every step you take. lots of love in this little game, also it gets really tough in the later levels.
will repurchase this on switch, if the price is right…

Re: ARMS Version 5.0 Is Now Live

i like coyle very much! the previously added characters were kind of a mixed bag: lola is quite nice, while misango looks like an early concept – imo he does not fit into the rest of the arms design at all.
my regulars now include twintelle, lola, kid cobra and coyle.
