Re: Accessory Review: tomtoc Nintendo Switch Cases

pika677

Shhhh, calling it a handheld gets these fanboys all up in arms, because they believe the 3DS isn't being replaced by Switch even though anyone with a brain that has common sense will tell you that Pokemon is why the 3DS is even remotely relevant today, and it's about to lose that franchise soon.

Re: Super Mario Party's First Week Japan Sales Outperform Previous Entry On Wii U

pika677

Is this even a fair comparison? Japan is a handheld market, clearly indicated by how Vita and 3DS did there, with the fact that after Switch came out both fell off a cliff in sales (yes, even 3DS has dropped massively something like 80% lower year-on-year for weekly sales in Japan), so just the fact that this thing is the 3DS's successor there should give comparison to how Star Rush or another Mario Party 3DS game did, not Mario Party 10 which was easily the weakest of the franchise (seriously, ND Cube did you not learn after how lowly rated 9 was to lose the damn car??).

Re: Nintendo Is Shutting Down StreetPass Relay Stations In Japan

pika677

For those who can't read the writing on the wall, this is Nintendo clearly shouting how the 3DS is being phased out right now. They're doing to it in 2018 what they did to the Wii U in 2016. There's no chance without Pokemon that the 3DS will live on alongside Switch. Those who actually believe that are just living in stupidity purposely ignoring the signs all pointing that 3DS is going to be officially a dead system in 2019 (oh and those who argue for those remakes/ports, look at Wii U in 2017, it was the exact same thing, and it was officially shutdown in 2017, mark my words that 2019 is the year Nintendo pulls the plug on their dying 3DS).

Re: Random: This Dreamcast Nintendo Switch Paintjob Sure Is Dreamy

pika677

Just remember there are 50% MORE Wii U's sold than Dreamcasts, not to mention roughly 300% more Wii U games sold than Dreamcast games (approximately 33 million Dreamcast games were sold total compared to nearly 102 million Wii U games). So, by using a Dreamcast, they're upping the collectible value, because the more rare item is higher priced due to the rareness!

Re: Reggie Says Nintendo Competes For Consumer Time, Not Concerned About Direct Competition

pika677

And notice Reggie said the Wii U "wasn't as successful" as Wii! See? Nintendo themselves won't call it a failure, because it was minimally profitable in the end thanks to an insane attach rate that is actually pretty close to SNES's. It's also why unlike Sega Nintendo reveals numbers for its lowest mainstream system (get real, reaching nearly 15 million is far from being this catastrophic failure that fanboys try to pin it as, that's the 5 month lived, less than 1 million worldwide Virtual Boy!).

Re: Happy 129th Birthday, Nintendo

pika677

There is really 2 Nintendo's. the one that only made cards and admired Disney, and the one that copied Disney to become a multinational worldwide corporation based in Japan.

Re: Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn Unravels On 3DS In 2019

pika677

@TJWorks yup. Ever since Go revitalized the system in 2016 they got caught now trying to find quick/cheap ways to sell to that new crowd- it's not working as Wario Ware Gold shows, games now go to it to die, because it's showed something like 80% decline in hardware sales worldwide on their last financial report.

Re: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Is Back On Nintendo 3DS With Added Content

pika677

@SinnohGeek it's older than the DS when the DS died. The only reason the 3DS hasn't died yet is because it was renewed when Pokemon Go revived it. It would have been totally dead in 2017 if it didn't get revived thanks to Go pushing Sun/Moon, causing Ultra Sun/Moon, and as soon as the franchise that revived it moves to Switch it will be a dead platform.

Re: Nintendo Website Confirms Multiple Switch Games Will Not Support Cloud Saves

pika677

Well, DUH! I could have told you that, because only like 99% of Wii games allowed you to copy your saves to SD cards. One game in particular, Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, wouldn't allow you to copy your town's data to an SD card- same goes with Animal Crossing: Jump Out on 3DS, you can't take your save data on your digital download and copy it to an SD card, the system won't let you. For whatever reason Nintendo's strict with town data on Animal Crossing, so that right there told me there will be NO cloud saves for Animal Crossing: Switch (when it comes out around 2027 since that's now a forgotten franchise).

Re: Nintendo Direct Delayed Due To Powerful Earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan

pika677

@dougphisig they wouldn't have just a Direct for America, but if they had some kind of reveal in the US or something, you can bet with the West's selfish culture (you can even see it on Nintendo Life comments how selfish Westerners are), they'd still have it. Eastern culture has a collective group culture, it's why you don't see the same crap happening in Japan where you do in the US.

Re: Wii U Receives First System Firmware Update Since 2017

pika677

But, but, but Nintendo fanboys all say that Nintendo's done with Wii U, because it was the next Virtual Boy, despite selling like 100x as many systems, and like 1,000x times as many games. They also said the eshop was ending on it, that Switch was only its successor, that Wii U was finished, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Which is why Nintendo fanboys are some of the worst people on the planet...
