@Anti-Matter I personally would like to play as my Mii in a Mario Party game, especially if Wii Party is "done".

This was already known though. You could easily see which characters they were from the silhouettes.

This was all known from the E3 reveal trailer. At least mariowiki.com and a lot of people on Reddit confirmed it back in June. Regardless, it's a great lineup. I'm really excited to play as Diddy and Monty Mole!

Not a huge spoiler, considering the game. The biggest curveball they could've thrown here is playable bowser and the first trailer showed that.

What I'd really want to see is if they had a larger board than what was shown already.

Nice roster. Part of me hopes we might get some free updates down the road with a few extra characters, similar to how Mario Tennis Aces was handled. But to be honest, it really isn't that big of a deal. I would also pay for DLC boards, which would be a bigger deal, especially if this game ends up being as good as it tentatively looks. After all, my one concern thus far is the fact that I haven't really seen too many game boards, but I could be mistaken.

Nice roster but I suppose the author slipped 'accidentally' into the headline to get more clicks.

I wouldn't be shocked if they added even more characters down the line in hopes of giving the game some longevity (though more boards and minigames would be nice as well). I'm hoping to see Birdo and Blooper.

I see enemies taking roster spots and bemoan the lost potential of Paper Mario or Warioware characters that could make these games exciting. The only new character that interests me is Pom-Pom, and she isn't worth trading out Toadette for.

As a kid I thought the moles in World were lemmings, and I'm not sure I noticed the shell on the Rocky Wrench sprite.

Looking it up, it does seem like they eventually started sharing the same roles and ultimately the same character model as well.

I got to thinking the same thing.

The closest thing I've ever played to Mario Party is the minigames in Pokémon Stadium.

Poor Wart... As a big SMB2/Doki fan, I'll look to see if he's included in the roster of games like this. Alas, after over 30 years, he's still stuck at SMB2, and a Link's Awakening cameo. I wonder what the problem is, when other characters, like Birdo have crossed over? Too similar to Bowser & King K. Rool? Maybe one of these decades, Nintendo will dig him up for something.

I won't buy this because no pro controller support means id need to spend £130 to play it with my partner (£60 for game and £70 for a new set of Joy-Cons)

If the game isn't Elder Scrolls or Zelda, i wont pay more than £60 for it. In fact I'd have problems spending 60 quid on this anyway but my partner enjoys mario party and mario kart... So id get it for her, but not if i need to buy more Joy Cons.

GCCX is a great show, Arino makes boring games so fun in his challenges, nice to see this collaboration. But MP itself isn't looks tempting for me, also those joy-cons only controls, one per a player, even with a charging grip they're so too tiny & uncomfortable, but alone in a gamepad mode are a pure pain for me.

Um.... What is accidental or spoiler-infested about this? If anything, this merely solidifies the evidence of the absence of Mario Odyssey characters and much to my disappointment.

Amiibo please!!!! Don't make them mandatory to roll or anything. Just make them for my collection.

Especially not a game like mario party that lasts for hours.

I can do a couple of races on Mario Kart but more and hands start to cramp up.

But then again id really want to know if i need to.wave my arms around to play this, if so then I'd probably skip it altogether.

As long as Donkey Kong is a playable in this game I'm sold!

Actually, all of you are right depending on which version of Super Mario Bros. 3 is being talked about. The OG version of Super Mario Bros. 3 definitely did not have Monty Moles in it.

HOWEVER, the king of Iceland was changed into a Monty Mole instead of a seal in the Super Mario All-Stars version and in the GBA version of the game.

if it weren't for smash including new donk city / having pauline visible i thought they were honestly going to ghost it completely.

big contrast here between the GameCube releases following Super Mario Sunshine , most all of the mario spinoffs contained characters, stages and such that had references to it in some way. Luigi's Mansion as well.

I like the little joycon grip where you put both into it, thats not bad... My favorite is the pro controller tho. Fits perfectly.

Also i get a lot of oil and diesel on my hands working on my engine when needed and that really cant be good.

Ow wow! In comparison, I got dainty little white-collar hands with freckles. The roughest part about 'em is a bulge on the middle finger from gripping my pencil too tightly.

And the joycon are already quite small for me!

@Pod to be fair i would imagine my hands were like that before.

Then i decided to move onto a boat in Jan 2017 and live a nomadic life around England moving around the canal system, mainly because i couldn't afford a flat or house. But also for the freedom of it.

A lot changed for me, i gave up all my consoles, my PC, all my games, everything i grew up with, i left much of it at the family home, locked up in the loft space.

Only thing i could take was my 3ds with 3ds games and ds games... But i stopped playing games for 6 months before i moved onto the boat (too much on my mind to play games knowing the change i was about to go through) until jan 2018 when i got the Switch.

To me the Switch was a god send... I almost stopped gaming completely and nearly turned into a log chopping boat dweller 😂.

Edit: so instead now i am a log chopping boat dweller who plays games too 😂.

I say who cares as long as I get my Steel Case, SSB Pro controller LE package just release them already....

You should look at average house prices in London... Its one of the most expensive places in the world.

Deport for a flat is like upwards of 30 grand. House is lile 50. Then you're in a 25 year mortgage paying anywhere between 200k to 500k (average cost of a house here in London)

Even on 35k a year, it's damn near impossible to save that sort of money...

But there is a method behind my madness...

You see i purchased my boat on finance for 35 grand, i have poured about 8 to 10 grand into it and in 2.5 years it will be fully paid for and worth about 10-15 grand more - thats 45 to 50k.

I could then sell the boat and get a mortgage on a flat or even a house. (I will never do this, i love boat life 10× more than any game I've ever played)
