Re: Guide: How To Get Nintendo Switch Online For Less Than $5 Per Year

penamiguel92

You have to be really cheap in order to think that $20 a year is expensive or not worth investing into. It comes down to $1.67 a month. That's cheaper than Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services... If you pay a monthly subscription to any of these(which I do, Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime), then you have no problem increasing the bill by $1.67 a month... Except the difference is that you're saving up for next year's subscription.

Cancer sucks, hopefully we find an effective treatment soon. Oh wait, with the FDA and other regulations, that won't happen any time soon. Top it off with billions of dollars in the cost of developing new drugs, and we progress very slowly towards a cure. Thanks a lot human rights activists... Drug development pre-regulation was exponential, and now it pretty much slowed down to a halt.

Re: Nintendo Website Suggests Multiple Switch Games Will Not Support Cloud Saves

@MisterKorman You managed to keep your Pokemon data safe for 15 years, so you can continue doing it for more. I doubt getting your Gameboy Advance, DS, and 3DS stolen was of any concern during that time. Why now? People don't suddenly begin to crave your stuff fifteen years later... The switch is no longer scarce, so it is nothing to worry about. It also doesn't suddenly stop working. None of Nintendo's previous handhelds had that problem, and also as long as you use accessories that Nintendo certifies.

Re: Nintendo Website Suggests Multiple Switch Games Will Not Support Cloud Saves

@MisterKorman That "standard" is making people less cautious about how they handle their systems. The battery in the cartridges lasted long enough to make the game obsolete, since the next game in the series came out and you played the previous one to death. The Pokemon company has given players the opportunity to transfer their Pokemon from one generation to the next, and recently has allowed its fans to store Pokemon on its servers. The newest Pokemon game does not need cloud saves, because they already have a Pokemon storage system in place. In the end of the day, Pokemon are what matter in Pokemon games. The past did not suck, if anything I'd take the past's finished games over the future's unfinished DLC/microtransaction ridden games any day. To top it off, save data does not matter as much as you think. Especially if you just play a game once, and never go back to it after the next generation rolls around... People are spoiled these days too, it's ridiculous.

Re: Surprise! Saints Row: The Third Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

My brother had this on his Xbox 360, and it was hilarious. Not in a bad way,but more in a "I wish I had time to play this game more" kind of way. We had fun creating the most outlandish character possible, and have him do some things I cannot mention here. It's the superior version to the newer one, that's for sure.

Re: Nintendo Didn’t Want Yakuza Series, According To Sega’s Toshihiro Nagoshi

@BigKing Most of which came out first on the PS4, so that point is illogical. The PS4 userbase is larger by comparison (by ~50 million), so there's that too. The PS4 has been on the market for a longer time, so there's more people on that platform. Logically, the larger userbase will sell more, but will the attach rate(games sold compared to total PS4 owners) be higher? I doubt it.

The switch userbase is mostly young adults like myself. The Wii U advertisement campaign aimed at children, so there was less young adults on it. I had one, but I live in the west where the yakuza games did not release. Pisspoor logic on the developers side if you ask me. I'm also pre-ordering Valkaryia Chronicles 4 and Doom Eternal in addition to my Nintendo fix (Pokemon & Smash). Anyway, SEGA has every reason to fully support the Switch, especially since Sonic Mania Plus did better on it.

Re: Ubisoft Has Halted Development Of Steep On Nintendo Switch

penamiguel92

Way to piss me off Ubisoft. Provide fake Switch gameplay footage for Nintendo to show at their big Switch event, and then cancel that game for no real reason. You essentially advertised a game that only exists on rival platforms, and that's not going to bode well with me. I was actually considering buying Starlink, but now I don't think I should support this company.

Re: US Trader Rubs Salt Into Nintendo's Share Drop Wounds With $400 Million Bet Against The Company

Once again, investors prove to be some of the most ignorant people out there. They fail to realize that Nintendo has presentations throughout the year, and they do not need to reveal everything at E3. We learned about Doom and Wolfenstein 2 coming to Switch post-E3 2017, why can't it happen again? Why are they selling stocks? Simple, because everyone of these investors thinks E3 2018 is relevant.

Re: Video: SNK Heroines Story Trailer Reveals Cast Are Being Held Captive

People asking for a man version of this game clearly have no idea about how the industry works. The majority of gamers are straight men, and they are the target audience for this game. That male version will not sell as well as this one, and it will bankrupt the developers. It costs money to make games, so you have to make games that appeal to a large audience. SJWs do not buy games or movies, so that's why media that appeals to them will always flop. A villain doing a villainous act is not something that people should complain about, so get over yourselves if you believe that it is.

Re: Talking Point: Switch's Blazing First Year Means Fewer Games In 2018 Shouldn't Be A Concern

penamiguel92

I'm content with my 2018 purchase. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey(I got LoZ:BotW on my Wii U at launch) provided months of enjoyment. I recently got Octopath Traveller, and plan to get XC2:Torna the golden country, Pokemon Let's Go Eevee, and Smash Ultimate. I prefer quality over quantity. This is more than enough to keep me occupied until Metroid Prime 4, Daemon x Machina, Fire Emblem, and Bayonetta 3 release.

Re: Fans Are Calling Out Nintendo And Camelot For "Lazy" Mario Tennis Aces

penamiguel92

Well Nintendo has been pressured into releasing a major game, every month, so it is no wonder we are starting to see signs of burnout. We will have XB2: Torna the golden country in September, Pokemon in November, and Smash Ultimate in December(I have no idea what else they have planned for August and October). In contrast, the Wii U had high quality games released when they were ready, usually several months apart. We just have to get used to it if we want this schedule to continue. There have to be blunders like this in order to deliver the games you guys want. There have to be sacrifices, and this game is one of them.
