Re: Nihon Falcom Lacks The Ability To Release More Games On Switch, Says President

penamiguel92

Falcom has a newly established fanbase on Switch. I enjoyed Ys VIII, even though it was my first. What has the president been smoking? With Sony censorship running amok, I doubt their fanbase will stay on Sony platforms forever. JRPGs have a nice home on the Switch, and weebs like me gobble up Anime artstyle games, look no further than the success of Xenoblade 2 and Octopath Traveler for evidence of an JRPG fanbase. Just don't shadow drop your games, and do plenty of advertising. Edit: Fixed autocorrected Falcon instead of Falcom.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

The way Scorbunny moves shows that they are indeed working on Pokemon animations, idle ones at that. Top it off with the flashy move animations, and I find it hard to credit the #bringbacknationaldex movement. Furthermore, like I've been saying for so long: animations aren't the only things that go into video games. Here we have an example of people digging for things to discredit Masuda, but I beg to differ. The lower resolution textures of the 3DS models clearly had to be remade, and I also doubt that the 3DS could handle higher polygon counts. You also have balancing that needs to be done in order to make sure that more than twelve Pokemon have a chance to shine in tournaments. I saw primal Groudon and Kyogre frequently, along with Xerneas, Smeargle, Mega Salamence, Mega Rayquaza and a few others like the alolan guardians. The current meta balance is terrible, and I wish GameFreak can deliver on their promise of better balancing, because I want to use Aggron in battle.

@Daniel36 Growing up is associated with taxes, retirement funds, credit, bills, and other boring things. I think it is okay for grown men to love these toys, since the nostalgia is very strong among us. I'm 27 and I feel like I can never grow out of video games, toys, and other fun things because being an adult sucks. It's nice to just fool around a bit once in a while, otherwise we'll age too fast from stress.

Re: Is This Our First Real Look At Nintendo Switch Mini? Update: Company Responds

penamiguel92

Well it is certainly plausible, since Nintendo released the 2DS, 2 years after the original 3DS. The "new" variants released four years after, so I would expect the pro version to come out sometime in 2020 or 2021. Handheld revisions shouldn't surprise anyone, especially with Nintendo's history. I already own the original switch, and will probably get the latest upgraded revision. I own both the original 3DS (black gradient) and the regular sized new 3DS (white, with mario/smash bros faceplates).

Re: Why Was Bayonetta 3 Missing From E3? PlatinumGames Explains All

penamiguel92

It's better to have actual gameplay at E3 2020, than to have a second CG trailer this year. This E3 was oversaturated with CG trailers and it boggles my mind when people say they're excited for a game we know nothing about (Insert CG new game announcement here). Also, Nintendo has directs throughout the year, so it is only a matter of time before they show it on one of those.

Re: Astral Chain Brings An Interdimensional Invasion To Switch On 30th August

I really want that collector's edition of Astral Chain. I really love the art style and music of this game, and I'm sold on getting it no matter what. I overlooked the PEGI rating at the bottom right corner on a trailer that GameSpot posted on YouTube and seriously exhausted myself trying to look for it in the US. Hopefully they announce it tomorrow during Day 2 of TreeHouse coverage or I will have to import it if they fail me.

Re: You Cannot Have A Complete National Pokédex In Pokémon Sword And Shield

penamiguel92

I'm going to go ahead and assume that the cut Pokemon are probably all of the legendaries and mythicals. Some of which are not obtainable through normal gameplay (Arceus), and many of them are obtainable through their respective games. For example, Landorus and its variations have forms (Therian?) that are only obtainable through some niche 3DS game no one cares about. Xerneas is definitely cut from this game, since it was overpowered in sun and moon (I might be wrong). All of the Megas too, because I'd imagine it will take time to add the stones in and a logical story. In time, GameFreak will be able to patch these Pokemon in as they find ways to probably balance them. In the meantime, all of my legendaries will stay in my Pokemon Sun boxes. As for the man children that are complaining about not being able to transfer their legendaries, then good riddance to you mate, no one cares. I'm getting Shield regardless.

Re: The Game Sony Tried To Silence Is Getting An Uncensored English Language Release On Switch

penamiguel92

This is pretty tame compared to how ecchi usually goes. People overreact to the smallest thing, it's pretty annoying. How about solving real problems in the world? Anime girls look young, but they're not real people, so we shouldn't hold the same beliefs on them. Take your frustration on the Arabs that sell younger girls to others as polygamy wives, which is a real problem that no one seems to talk about here...

Re: Review: Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa - A Laughably Limp Attempt At Titillation

penamiguel92

Most VNs don't even have gameplay, cough Nekopara cough, so I usually don't bring them up to the same level of expectations I would have for a game like Astral Chain. Just knowing that this one at least has some gameplay, and it has at least some ecchi is enough for me. I don't care what SJWs have to say about a fanservice "game" meant for weebs like me. Everyone can have their opinions, and I just shared my insanely unpopular opinion.

Re: Rumour: Switch References In Call Of Duty Site Code Start Chins A-Waggin'

penamiguel92

As mentioned in the article, it truly is just code for formatting. The Wii U and 3DS are also listed, so no surprise there. That's about as much code that will be written for Nintendo hardware by Activision's incompetent devs.

Edit: I know they brought over the crash games, but that's only because of a dedicated programmer that actually likes the system. See? Just one competent developer there.
