Re: Random: Epic Goes To War With Apple, Asks Players To "Join The Fight" And "Free Fortnite"

@mazzel Actually, they applied a 20% savings across ALL platforms. And while your right, they will still profit off if this. Keep in mind, they didnt have to lower the price at all. They could have kept the price the same, allowing them to make a ton more money off sales all together. Some assume that this is some clever blue pill tactic to manipulate players, but to what end? To side against Apples corperate gred? Yea that seems like such a bad thing to side against.

@Octane you are forgetting 1 teenie tiny bit of info.......its not between JUST them. Epic is fighting for ALL of the developers on the Apple store. Epic is fighting against the monopoly on ALL of the games there. This isnt a fight about just Fortnite, this is a fight for developers and consumers alike. To force Apple to change their way of doing this, so that everyone may benefit.

The other day I was walking home from school. I don't know why, but i decided to take a shortcut through the woods. As i was walking through the deep thicket, i heard a voice call out to me. It was faint, i couldn't make out the words. It didnt sound like the noise of the local fawna, and the wind made no whisper. I continued walking, when i heard the voice once more. It sounded much closer, "...otta.........ast" is all I could make of it. I wanted to make it home as quickly as possible......but a strange force compelled me to walk deeper into the forest. I don't know what came over me, this urge wasn't natural. I felt a burning sensation in my chest that got stronger the deeper into the woods i got. The voice struck again, ".....our too......ow" the voice was becoming much clearer. I felt consumed by fear as the air around me grew thicker, the trees became darker. I desperately wanted to leave, but I couldn't. My mind pleaded to leave, but my body pushed onward. Finally, my body stopped. My vision had become blurred, the pain in my chest unbearable. I fell to my knees in utter weakness. tried with all my might to focus on what was infront of me, it looked like a blue blur. Finally, the voice spoke once more. It was but a whisper in my ear, a faint yet powerful voice. "Gotta go feeeeeeaaaaaassssssst". My vision finally became clear, i finally saw the source of that voice. What laid before me was...................

Re: Week-Long Tetris 99 Maximus Cup Sees The Return Of Three Past Themes

patbacknitro18

@JayJ Or, the more likely awnser is that they are just holding an event for people who missed out. Because not everyone was able to grab those themes the first time around. They are definitely not out of ideas for themes, nor does the game need updating for more themes. This is simply just a way for people to grab these themes if they hadn't already.

@Not-Geno No joke, there's a Senran Kagura game on the Switch that uses the Switch's HD rumble to feel boobs. Leading up to the game there were recordings of the development team in science gear jiggling pudding and feeling water balloons, trying to work the exact science to allow you to feel the jiggle of boobs from the HD rumble. It was quite an extraordinary achievement.

Re: Talking Point: Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Rollout Of Event Updates Make It Feel 'Incomplete'?

patbacknitro18

Not really, the base game is still there. I see this as a Mario Maker situation, where the base game itself is fine for what it is. However, the free content updates only enhance the experience and give players more reasons to come back to it later. Not to mention it's all free dlc, if this game was made by EA then you'd be paying 10$ for just 1 Christmas tree, not to mention the 65$ to make Santa show up in your town once.

Re: You Can Now Enjoy Raid Battles Using Your Pokémon Trading Cards

patbacknitro18

@playstation_king Seems like Energy doesn't apply here, same goes for move effects as well. It's purely just picking your strongest move and thrashing the raid boss. The lack of energy and move effects seems to make this a much more simple experience, which seems to be the point of this new card format as they are trying to introduce new players via this much more simple method of play.

Re: Nintendo's Mobile Business Is Here To Stay

patbacknitro18

Are people just choosing too ignore Nintendos goal here? The reason Nintendo is making mobile games isn't to purely profit on them, but to use it as a way to support their console buisness. They introduce Nintendo Ips to mobile players, and get them so engaged that they end up devoting time and money into a Switch and its games. No doubt many people who've played Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp ended up supporting 3 houses and New Horizons. Its a very ingenious move on Nintendo, both attracting new Nintendo fans and making mobile money while they're at it. Its a win win all around.

Re: Captain America Takes A Break From The Avengers To Play Some Fortnite

patbacknitro18

@Coach_A I'm sure it's due to a VERY obvious Fortnite bias.....and not the fact that it's a crossover event to celebrate the 4th of July. Fortnite is an online multiplayer game with updates fairly often, so getting a few articles talking about these online events is no big deal, in fact it's good for those who do care about the game. You're also acting like them making an article about Fortnite takes away any potential article about Risk of Rain 2, when that's a moronic mentality. Nintendo life publishes several articles daily, covering a wide range of games and topics based on current events and releases. One too Two articles about Fortnite is not going to ruin the chances of getting your beloved game covered.

Re: Ben 10: Power Trip Announced For Nintendo Switch

patbacknitro18

@Not_Soos This reboot is one of the least offensive ones. It doesn't try insulting the fans of the original like TTGO, and it doesn't pull a ton deaf modernization that Powerpuff Girls 2016 did. It tries to be a legitimate reboot of the series, just with a more comedic edge. I wouldn't say its great, but it's by no means offensive. As far as CN reboots go, it's definitely the best one they've attempted.

Re: Ben 10: Power Trip Announced For Nintendo Switch

patbacknitro18

I love the idea of this. An open world Ben 10 game would be amazing, and despite looking a bit cheap it looks like it could offer something decent for Ben 10 fans. But seeing Kevin on the promo image makes me think he's player 2, and idk how too feel about that. While I don't think the new Ben 10 series is terrible, one of its worst changes is with Kevin 11. Instead of being a mutated abomonation, or having elemental absorption powers, they instead just gave Kevin his own omnitrix. Which sucks since Kevins original powers were fairly unique and they worked perfectly with both iterations of Kevin 11.

Re: Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location Surprise-Launches On Switch

patbacknitro18

@NEStalgia A mix of everything. It's meant to be a serious horror series, but the thing is the creator doesn't like to stay in that mindset for too long. Infact when he developed the first FNAF game, he used to have nightmares where he was locked inside his room, with the animatronics being in with him. So when the first games popularity skyrocketed, he obviously had to make more games. So to help leviate some of the effects making the games had on him, he tried infusing humor into the series. This game is a perfect example because there is a ton of humor in-between the horror segments.

Re: Nintendo Just Launched A New Game And You Can Download It For Free Right Now

patbacknitro18

I am all for more games like these. Just developers having fun during these hard times. This reminds me of the No More Heroes 2 dilemma. Where Suda asked his team to each make a minigame of their own too put in the game. And what seemed like a harmless task at first soon spiraled out of control as the team actually put more time into making their own minigames than the actual game itself. They ended up with FAR more minigames than what they could possibly put in the game. So I would love if Nintendo just let their teams work on fun little minigames of their own, maybe put them in a collection for Nintendo Online Members too enjoy
