Re: Random: #RipFortnite Is Trending On Twitter, As Players Protest Against Current State Of The Game

@Zidentia I mean why not? You spend all day playing a game you love, and the company who makes it rewards you with free in-game stuff. Splatoon 1 and 2 ran on that model, drip-feeding you tons and tons of free content to keep the game fresh over the years. Infact many Nintendo games now give away free DLC with their games. Super Mario Odyssey gave away a ton of new outfits, Mario Tennis gave away new playable characters and single player content. Getting free in-game virtual stuff is just a way of rewarding players who have been supporting the game, and its great too see.

@Fandabidozi My biggest problem this season is the lack of events. Chapter 2 season one had the Storm King Event, The Christmas Event where they gave out a ton of free cosmetics, The Starwars event that added lightsabers and stormtroopers, the Valentines event, and a few more. This season hasn't had anything like those, heck I would have been happy with some Easter event. I hope Season 3 brings back more events like those.

@FragRed No kidding, he just won't put that shovel down. And keep in mind he is saying this crap just after going on about how "Pro" players should be allowed to get away with cheating in competitions because there's money at stake. How he is still allowed to play in the competitive scene after saying that crap is beyond me. People get banned in other Esports leagues for FAR less.

Re: Random: #RipFortnite Is Trending On Twitter, As Players Protest Against Current State Of The Game

patbacknitro18

This is litteraly only happening because some cry baby "Pro Gamer" got mad because he lost his spot in a competition due to an item in the game called the grappler. This item works like youd expect from a grappling hook, and a much better player used the weapon to their advantage and (With their far better skill of the game) was able to get above the player and snipe him. But apparently his opponents skill had nothing to do with it, he is blaming the lose entirely on Epic and the Grappler. He demanded that Epic Games removed the item, or that everyone would stop playing the game. Obviously any sane, normal person would have ignored that cry babys tears. But his followers have been following his orders and are attempting to start a war with Epic until they meet his demands.

Re: China Bans Sales Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons In Suspected Censorship Scuffle

patbacknitro18

@Zuljaras And ok so you think them asking for outside help through animal crossing is silly. Ok then, I want you to tell me a better way for them to get their message to the outside world. And I will tell you if China has either banned that method, or killed people for using that method. So go ahead, start listing your FAR BETTER ideas for how they can handle the very restrictive laws they are being placed in.

Re: China Bans Sales Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons In Suspected Censorship Scuffle

patbacknitro18

@Zuljaras oh wow, Why didn't WE THINK OF THAT, oh god the solution is so clear now. My my that is an amazing solution you just thought of. Yes, stand up to the dictatorship. Man the Holocaust would have been so much shorter if people in Germany rebelled against Hitler.....Oh wait they did. Those people died, and many of the people never existed. Yea, stand up against Hitler and you'll be doctored out of any and all photographic evidence, any and all of your possessions incinerated, any family members carrying your named disposed of. Yea no, standing up to dictators with power is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy. And perhaps you're asking, well why doesn't every single person in china right now rebel against the leadership? Well its simple, Fear. Maybe its hard for you to comprehend because you've never been under a dictatorship, but when someone has the power to completely erase your familys existence, you do not want to fight against them. Because your cry for help can never be heard if you're dead. And its hard to gather a group of people to rebel when MANY of the people fear the dictator's power. You make it sound like they could EASILY fix the situation over there, no they can't. They are forced to play by the rules given to them. And as of right now, getting the word out via methods like this are literally all they can do without risking death.

Re: China Bans Sales Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons In Suspected Censorship Scuffle

patbacknitro18

@Zuljaras "They are no better than the government they are protesting against" DUDE, DUDE, How, in any possible way shape or form, could you compare the people protesting for freedom to those who are killing off protesters to "Rid of the undesirables". An actual quote from the government. This isn't some petty little thing, its an actual cry for help. This situation is serious enough to have many protestors slaughtered in the street. These methods the protestors use to spread the word to other countries may seem silly to you, but it's literally all they can do without risking death. If you expect them to go out into the streets now, after the months of protesting already, then you are asking them to die silently.

Re: China Bans Sales Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons In Suspected Censorship Scuffle

patbacknitro18

@Zuljaras Actually they have been getting into the streets in big groups to get their message across. These groups are quickly silenced by very brutal, and sometimes fatal, methods. There is NOTHING the protesters can do in China right now, because they are under such severe restrictions and their government is not affraid to put down a few people to silence the entire crowd. They are using methods like this to gain support from the rest of the world, its the only method of protest they can attempt that won't result in any death.

Re: The Pokémon Company Threatens To "Permanently Ban" Players Who Deliberately Disconnect From Battles

patbacknitro18

@ReWane Actually I believe they just wanted to be fair to those who disconnect due to poor wifi or other out of control circumstances. After they said they would specifically punish those who "Are Deliberately" disconnecting. So they must want to be as fair as they can for thouse who can't help the matter, but also punish those who continue to disconnect on purpose.

Re: Random: This Animal Crossing Island Is Probably As Close As We'll Get To A New EarthBound Game

patbacknitro18

Its sad that the creator of Earthbound has no desire to continue the series. On one hand, I do support his decision of 3 being the end of the series. Now and days it's hard to come to terms with a series ending for good, even properties like Starwars and Lord of the Rings continue to move on with new continuations despite the creators no longer being involved with the projects. But on the other hand, remastering the Mother games would not be that bad. All its doing is giving a new audience a chance to experience the same game in a new coat of paint. But the creator has had a ton of people prepose a Mother remaster too him, and he has turned every single one down. There is almost no hope on a new, or remastered, Mother title if the creator is deadset on the series staying dead. And Nintendo wouldn't dare make a new entry without his involvement, it just wouldn't be a Mother game without him heading the project. It'd be a hollow shell.

Re: Fatal Frame's Return Is Up To Nintendo, Says Series Producer Keisuke Kikuchi

patbacknitro18

@nessisonett Dude, F-Zero would make them A TON of money. Do you know what else would make them a ton of cash? Porting over Mother 3, or remastering any of the Mother games. Nintendo doesn't do things based on money, the WiiU is UNDENIABLE proof of that. Because as we all know, Starfox Zero and Paper Mario Color Splashs game designs were based soley on what fans would want, making them boat loads of cash.

Re: Rumour: Sony Could Be Raiding Konami For Castlevania, Metal Gear And Silent Hill IP

patbacknitro18

Apparently all of this stims from Sonys absolute DESPERATE desire to revive Silent Hill P.T. They believe the game's publicity is an absolute gold mine that should not be wasted, and they see Konami as fools for canceling the project. Sony getting the rights to Silent Hill, as well as having Kojima on board, would mean an absolute for certain revival of the long-awaited P.T

Re: Nintendo Responds To Cancellation Of E3 2020, Says It Will Consider "Various Ways" To Engage With Fans

patbacknitro18

What concerns me is EVERY gaming company that was attending E3 said they would consider doing a Direct style presentation in place of their E3 conference..............EXCEPT NINTENDO!!! Nintendo has said NOTHING about their yearly E3 Direct. As a matter of fact, they don't even mention Nintendo Directs at all in their statement. Instead, they just say they are thinking of ways of sharing new information over the year. What is going on, why are they backing away from Nintendo Directs so badly

Re: No Link Between Violent Video Games And Violent Behaviour, Says American Psychological Association

patbacknitro18

@Bass_X0 Its actually complex factors that go into the motivations of mass murderers. Take Elliot Roger for example, rich kid who came from a family that spoiled him. The problem is money couldn't solve his problems, he wanted to be loved by a girl but he lacked the social skills too. Instead of improving his own life, he resented the guys who could get girls, blaming them as well as the girls who would date those guys as he felt they were rejecting him. On top of a mountain of family issues, including 2 parents who were constantly trying to make him choose one or the other and a little brother he grew hateful towards as he had the social skills to make friends, he planned on getting his revenge, killing his family and mass murdering a ton of people in his dads SUV. Thank god his plans, for the most part, backfired and only very few people were hurt.

Re: No Link Between Violent Video Games And Violent Behaviour, Says American Psychological Association

patbacknitro18

@nessisonett Or by using any other method of murder really. A lack of guns would in no way derail the motivations of a psychopath. There's people who will drive into a crowd of people, or who will knife down a subway station full of people, or who will plant homemade bombs (Using everyday ingredients found at stores mind you) to blow up a building or crowd of people.
