Gameloft has secured a release date for Disney Dreamlight Valley's first major content update. The update, which will include a new Star Path and introduce Scar to the game, will be available to download from 19th October.
New limited-time items will be available as part of the Star Path, which you'll need to grab with in-game currency. Gameloft recently revealed that it will be bringing improvements to Photo Mode, new avatar poses, and a number of bug fixes — all of which are due either in this update or future patches. We'll also, apparently, be able to interact with our animal buddies soon too — maybe next week?
While Scar is the only character we know is coming in this particular update, Gameloft is suggesting that we "tap into [our] villainous side". Who says we haven't already?
We recently talked about Disney Dreamlight Valley's need for us to be neat, which rather clashes with our more messy selves.

Be sure to see some patch notes prior to the update's launch next week. Will the update bring about a whole new world? Or will Gameloft need to dig a little deeper with future updates? Let us how you feel about the upcoming update in the comments!

You could that you should, ”Be prepared!”
That Princess and the Frog reference👌
Does it work without crashes on Switch yet?
Hearing a fair few people on YouTube mention multiple crashes, yet I've personally not had a single crash during my 15hrs of play on Switch.
My launch Switch holding strong!! 💪
On the whole, Dreamlight Valley looks and runs pretty decently.
Have had the odd audio crackling bug when entering the meadow. And occasional framerate hiccups (but nothing to make it unplayable).
Looking forward to seeing what new content appears. (give us KH content Disney! you know you want to! )
I recently fractured 6 vertebrae in my spine, so this has been a great relaxing, cosy game to play whilst I recover.
Never had a crash here. You must have a faulty low tier switch 🤭
Way to momentarily troll the Brother Bear nerd in me with that subtitle.
I've really enjoyed this, but playing on Xbox because its free on Game Pass. Which I could transfer my save to Switch but I'm not gonna pay for it just to be portable
@nhSnork
I heard it too, and I think I only saw that film once when it came out.
