@ACK Apples and bananas imo... Fortnite is a game that receives updates constantly so bugs once in a while are to be expected, but Pkmn is a game that was (or should have been) years in development. Also, wish Pkmn looked like Fortnite :/
I don’t understand how being unsatisfied with what one views as subpar efforts of a multi-billion dollar company makes one ‘entitled’. Game Freak isn’t doing anyone a favor, they want customers to shell $60 for a game, so it’s natural to believe they should put some effort into it.
I just bought a 3rd party controller, which is the equivalent of just giving up. I have always bought the original Nintendo controllers, but until they actually fix this issue I’m out.
Honestly, I’m fine with not having all the pokemon. What I’m not fine with is gamefreak claiming that they had to do it to focus on the pokemon animations (yes, those half-baked ugly ones). The audacity... I’m gonna wait and see with this one, very disappointed.
They fixed a lot of things, like the slow UI and the insistence on gimmicks, but a lot of other things haven't improved like the awful online (and now they charge!)
Guys, take a chill pill. EA is a company which can only work by making profit. If a console is failing, of course they won't support it. That is Nintendo's fault, not EA's.
Big question is will Wii U owners have to pay full price for Splatoon 2, MK8 Deluxe and so on? Because if yes, or if there's a lousy discount, I'm going to wait on the purchase.
Ahhh, the classic Nintendo fan "power doesn't matter as long as it's fun". How did that work out for the Wii U? I beg you, Nintendo, please learn from your mistakes.
Chill, guys... We've lived with one-screen no-touch consoles before and nothing bad happened. Our favorite games are all from those times. We've been through the unfortunate dual-screen gold rush and now it's over. Just be happy and carry on.
I'm not sure I'm willing to pay to play Wii U games I already own, though. I think they should give them out for free to folks who own them on Wii U as a way of thanking them for remaining loyal despite the trainwreck the Wii U was.
@JaxonH I really hope there's not touchscreen because it will drive the price down and also because it would kind of fragment the experience, since the TV obviously has no touch functionality.
Even if all consumers had properly understood the Wii U's concept and its capabilities, it would still sell like it did, because the console itself was a bad idea. Reggie can't say that, so instead he goes with the "consumers didn't understand us".
@Chibiterasu
nobody would be trying to tell ninty what to do if they were doing it right
I don't know if this is just me, but I have zero facebook friends using miitomo... Which pretty much makes the app useless. Even if it does catch on within certain populations, I think it will have a fate similar to that app which came out a year or two ago called 'draw something': quickly put aside. Seriously, there is not much space left in the social media field. I do like the idea of miitomo, just think it is not feasible in the current conditions.
I'm happy they left out wiimote controls, not because of the fact a map or items can be displayed on the gamepad. It's just that I'm not very fond of the motion controls...
@TrueWiiMaster I think the issue is that 'quality over quantity' works until a certain level. The Wii U has taken that to an extreme. 3-4 major releases per year is minuscule. Certainly isn't enough to keep you through the year, no matter how good these games are.
Man, I have to admit that I felt pretty hopeless about the NX after reading this article. I really do hope it takes off but I'm afraid the mid-cycle release may get in the way. It has to be very convincing for the NX to ship a lot of units, and I feel like gimmicks and the like won't do the trick or will just get in the way as in the Wii U. Just give us a normal controller, good hardware and keep making great games!
My personal top five: 5. A Link to the Past 4. Skyward Sword 3. Wind Waker 2. Ocarina of Time 1. Twilight Princess (nothing to do with the remake coming up, always been my favorite)
By far my favorite Zelda game. Great music, story, memorable horseback battles. Unfortunately I fail to see a difference between the GC and Wii U version. It looks like they've just upscaled it and most of the textures still look awful... I really wanted to like this but this is not for me, especially with that price tag.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I mean, assymetrical gameplay is sometimes cool, but it makes things unnecessarily complicated for the developers and for the players. Think about all the time it took Nintendo Land's developers to think of all of those complex minigames. In all that time they could have just made a much better standard game. And it makes it complicated for the players too because it's the kind of game where half of the time you're just trying to figure out the controls and the fun fades away quickly. Just my opinion though
If they really wanted to reinforce commitment to dedicated hardware they should be making games for Wii U instead of abandoning it and making filler titles like amiibo festival
@hylianhalcyon Yep gotta agree with you. SM3DW was a good game, but nowhere close to the hype it got. Nintendo should really just drop moer traditional Mario games for a decade to make it feel fresh again. They gotta come up with something more immersive...

Although I agree it is being milked all the way, I think NL is being pretty easy on Game Freak to be honest...
