This was the most exciting reveal ever. The rock looked good, but keeping Pauline in the shadows for so long and reveal her like this, even in the boxart, is beyong amazing. Kudos to Nintendo.
Love this one! Played it back in the day on my 3DS. When I was a kid I had DK Land 2, that is an almost exact port of DKC2, so I thought DK Land 1 was a port of DKC but not at all! It has many new enviroments that weren't present on any snes entry. It's something in between DKC1 and DKC2, so if you never played it give it a try guys. It's really good.
I loved all his 3DS games, but this is beyond ridiculous. I guess the game will have probably more than 256460 levels, because if not, I really can't understand how is taking this long.
I'm sure some things will be fix. As long as the loading times are better than they are, I will be happy. As someone said here, the game doesnt look bad at all while you are playing it. Sure it's no PS5 level but I'm sure everyone who got the Switch version knew that before buying it. I play the hell out of MK11 on Switch and it was very enjoyable.
As long as the fix every bug here and there and the loading times doesnt feel so eternal, game will be still a great option for Switch
I will play both eventually. Mario day one, I don't even need a review, no matter what I'll be playing it. Sonic, on the other hand, I think I will wait for a review since every game is a hit or miss. I was excited to play Frontiers but the switch reviews made me never want to play it.
The gold one is too iconic. You can say that I'm driven by nostalgia but man, you just had to be there. It was so different at that time, you could not pass it by.
I mean, getting my SNES as a child and playing All Stars after playing all those on the NES was amazing. I didn't even know what it was, I remember I thought it was an all new Mario game. So figuring out it was all those games I loved but prettier (I didn't know what "remastered" was at that time), it blew my mind.
Now, as an adult, I do prefer the NES versions for the original Mario game, and The lost levels. Something about how Mario moves feels weird on my fingers, after playing so much the NES version.
But I do like 2 and 3 more, since you don't really need the agility of Mario that much like you need on the original Mario.
It's such a bit moment in gaming history for me, I can have the worst of days but I play any of those Marios and man, it just takes any sadness away.
I was so excited for Kirby, but I'm playing it and I just can't mate Kirby jump. No matter how much I shake my switch. He just jumped once. Anybody else having problems with this?
Well, it seems the popular opinion is we need a new hardware from Nintendo. I'm not against this, I just hope is a hybrid console like Switch again. I'm so used to playing in handheld mode, then docked, then handheld again. I'm not sure if I'm ever gonna enjoy other way of playing. Am I the only one with this on mind? I just need this to be hybrid again. Please.
I just bought it yesterday. Played around one hour and thirty minutes in handheld mode, and the Switch became slightly overheat. Am I the only one having this issue?
@ThePizzaCheese my last home console was N64 and then the Switch. I missed all those years of gaming. I did have GBA, DS and 3DS though. And I'm missing Galaxy 2 to complete having played all Mario games too (I also missed New Mario Wii but meh, I played all the others New Mario games so I think I'm not losing much).
OMG yes. I need those Zelda remakes (those two are the only Zelda games I have never played so imagine the excitement). And I need new Mario. Please Mario Odyssey 2.
Well I'm kind of late to the Metroid party, but I just finished it today and man, what a ride it was. It was challenging enough but never impossible. Those EMMI sections were amazing, even though a priori I thought those parts I would like less than the others. The music, the feeling, the sounds the EMMI made were so perfect and climatic, I was so nervous playing it but at the same time willing to kill them and it was SO rewarding getting to do that.
I love the Chozo fights too. Playing Samus was so great, her speed and overall control felt amazing. I did get frustrated a couple of times mixing ZR and L, and R with L, but after a few tries you kind of get used to it.
I finished it 100% in almost 13 hours (I did use some youtube research because some ammo was impossible to get (specially those were Samus must get speed than keep on getting it and not lose it to break some walls, those parts were a bigger challenge that most of the bosses).
Basically a perfect game and the perfect Metroid experience. I hope we get another 2D Metroid game sooner than later.
Well, I actually enjoyed this. I'm sure there will be a proper explanation to why is Sonic in this island. And I don't get the negativity around this. These are justs gameplay clips, I'm sure the game won't be just running around breaking robots and stuff.
That description alone would fit Breathe of the wild, if you take away all the core desing about it.
So I'm not worry about Sonic, I bet this will turn out just fine.
@Toshiro_Baloney Ok I get what you are saying. So we technically are getting 5 games: Sonic, Sonic CD, Sonic 2, and both Sonic 3 AND Sonic & Knuckles. Right?
@ShadowofTwilight22 Oh yes I missed that. But then again, it says "Four games". So we will have Sonic 3, but no Sonic & Knuckles? This is kind of confusing, why wouldn't they say five games?
I voted for N64 and GBC because I have so many memories with them. Even though I started off with NES like every 80s kid, something about GBC makes me feel so emotional about my childhood, I can't quite explain it. And no emulation makes me feel that way: I need to see every pixel in the screen (just like the picture you guys used to illustrate this). I see those pixels and man, my heart burst in joy.
And N64 was simply so iconic in every level. Nothing will ever top the emotion I felt playing Mario 64 for the first time. The joystick is so iconic too.
All that being said, I can't acknowledge the amazingness the Switch is. I'm enjoying these years so much with the Switch. (I did enjoy 3DS too but this is superior.)
I really hope it's a hybrid console again. I didn't have a Wii nor a Wii U back in the day because I had DS and 3DS. And I couldn't afford having both, and I chose the handheld option both times because it was cheaper.
So I hope I don't have to choose again between a home console or a handheld one. The Switch concept is the perfect concept for me.
Amazing amazing game, both this and the 3DS version. Still haven't played it on Switch, I'm on my first ever play of Sin & Punishment. But then I'll play this one for sure.
@Clyde_Radcliffe OMG you're absolutely right! Never knew that. Guess I was trying to figure out the controls, pushed L and never realized that was what made the music stop. Thank you so much!
@Bentendo1609 Yes, and I think not having C controls will be rare even with two joycons. We'll see how natural it feels, but it will be weird seing the buttons on screen not matching the ones on the joycon.
I only played San Andreas on my PS2 back in the day. I didn't quite understand how to play it actually, I was young and all I did was drive around the city. And sure it was fun but I bet there's more to it than just that. So yes, I'm planning on getting it but only on physical.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Launches 5th June 2025, Mario Kart World Bundle Confirmed
Day one for me!
MKWorld and Hogwarts Legacy, plus Wind Waker on GCOnline will keep me busy until my boy Donkey Kong comes to play.
I really need this.
Do we have a boxart for the games? I wonder if they will keep the exact same box shape from switch.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Will Launch On Switch 2 In 2025
So much disrespect for Lady Horney showing her just like any other game, when the whole world is waiting for her!
Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From The Switch 2 Direct
I'm really sure a new 3D Mario and a new Zelda port is a given (probably TP, or even WW/TP together). Of curse MK9.
I really hope they finally give a release date for Silksong.
Is there any posibility we can get Silent Hill 2?
Re: Nintendo Has Sneakily Confirmed The Switch 2's Mysterious 'C' Button
I can't find the Nintendo Today app in the Google store. Anyone ese having trouble finding it?

Can you tell how long is the campaing? How many levels??

I cannot wait to play this. Looks absolutely stunning. Best Zelda game ever I fear.

We love to get upgrades on MK1 to 4.
Even we could get MK Trilogy for N64 Online.

I could swear I read somewhere that it does have save and loading options, even rewind.

Re: Gallery: Brand New Screenshots Of Sonic Origins, Out On Switch This June
I still don't know if we will be able to play Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles individually, or as a whole game.
Re: Sonic Origins Arrives 23rd June, New Trailer And Website Are Live
@Toshiro_Baloney
Ok I get what you are saying.
So we technically are getting 5 games: Sonic, Sonic CD, Sonic 2, and both Sonic 3 AND Sonic & Knuckles. Right?
Re: Sonic Origins Arrives 23rd June, New Trailer And Website Are Live
OK I'm so confused by this.
Are we getting Sonic & Knuckles? Or just Sonic 3?
I see Mushroom Hill at 0:42, but it stills says Four games.
Re: Sonic Origins Arrives 23rd June, New Trailer And Website Are Live
@ShadowofTwilight22
Oh yes I missed that.
But then again, it says "Four games". So we will have Sonic 3, but no Sonic & Knuckles? This is kind of confusing, why wouldn't they say five games?

Are we sure this contains Sonic CD? Why am I not seeing it in the trailer?
Re: Feature: 24 Game Boy Advance Games We'd Love To See Added To Nintendo Switch Online
I would love to see so many GBA titles. Specially Sonic Advance and Golden Sun, since I never got the chance to play them.
Re: Feature: Which Is The Absolute Best Nintendo Console Generation?
I voted for N64 and GBC because I have so many memories with them. Even though I started off with NES like every 80s kid, something about GBC makes me feel so emotional about my childhood, I can't quite explain it. Re: Video: We Have A Lot Of Feelings About Banjo-Kazooie On Switch
I only played bits of Banjo back when I was a child.
I remember renting it on a Blockbuster.
Can't believe I will play the whole game now.
I'm still going through Paper Mario. But I'm on Chapter 6 so I hope I will end it in a couple of days and the dive in Banjo Kazooie.
Re: Video: Here's A Graphics Comparison Of Banjo-Kazooie Running On Switch, Xbox And Nintendo 64
Is it on the app yet?
I want to update it but it says it's already updated. There is no Banjo though.
Re: Talking Point: Will Nintendo Abandon The Switch Concept For Its Next Console?
I really hope it's a hybrid console again.
I didn't have a Wii nor a Wii U back in the day because I had DS and 3DS. And I couldn't afford having both, and I chose the handheld option both times because it was cheaper.
So I hope I don't have to choose again between a home console or a handheld one. The Switch concept is the perfect concept for me.
Re: Sorry Folks, Shovel Knight Dig Has Been Delayed Until Next Year
Well yeah, we were kind of expecting that. They still have to release SK Pocket Dungeon, so I wasn't expecting Dig to be released this year.
So sad, can't believe it was announced on 2019.
SK is probably my favorite indie game ever. It was the game I played the most on 3DS, and I had a blast on Switch too.
Re: Review: Star Fox 64 - A Cinematic Series High Point
Amazing amazing game, both this and the 3DS version.
Still haven't played it on Switch, I'm on my first ever play of Sin & Punishment. But then I'll play this one for sure.
Re: Nintendo Switch Online's N64 Games Need Some Work
@Clyde_Radcliffe OMG you're absolutely right! Never knew that. Guess I was trying to figure out the controls, pushed L and never realized that was what made the music stop. Thank you so much!
Re: Nintendo Switch Online's N64 Games Need Some Work
I did notice the lack of music on Mario Kart 64.
But I restarted it and it came back. Sure it can be improved without having these issues.
And I wish they add remaping in the future. Playing DR Mario with the buttons and not be able to play with the stick its weird.
Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 13.1.0 Is Now Live - Adds The Switch Online Expansion Pack
Still on maintenance for me.
Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?
It's still not available, right?
Do we know how many hours left?
Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?
@Clyde_Radcliffe OMG yes, we need James Pond on the Mega Drive app.
I would love Virtual Bart and Valis III too.
Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?
@Bentendo1609 Yes, and I think not having C controls will be rare even with two joycons. We'll see how natural it feels, but it will be weird seing the buttons on screen not matching the ones on the joycon.
Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?
How many hours until it drops?
Re: Poll: N64 And Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online Games Launch Today - Which Will You Play First?
OMG I thought it was going to be released on the 28th, I don't know why.
I tried to get my suscription but I don't know how to upgrade this. Is available right now? Can't find it on the eshop.
Re: Poll: The Hype For Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Is High, Is It In Your Switch Plans?
I only played San Andreas on my PS2 back in the day.
I didn't quite understand how to play it actually, I was young and all I did was drive around the city. And sure it was fun but I bet there's more to it than just that.
So yes, I'm planning on getting it but only on physical.
Re: Feature: 8 Games That Missed Nintendo Hardware
Tomb Raider is the greatest omission to be honest.
I still have hope we can eventually get it in the future for Switch.
