"DOOM makes it clear from the outset that you aren't the prey, you're the predator. Encounters with foes never come in ones and twos, but in tens of enemies. If you aren't careful, they'll make short work of you."

Am I missing something? The first sentence seems to have gotten predator/prey backwards.

I'm so much more excited for this than I even was for BotW! Super Mario 64 is like half of my childhood (the other half being OoT) and I can't wait to get back to that style of Mario game! It's preloading on my Switch right now....HYYYYYYYYYPE

@thesilverbrick

SCENE: Nintendo HQ

Engineering manager: "Ok, let's get to work on this port. Lots and lots of people would really love to see Sunshine on the Switch."

Junior engineer: "But sir, this one dude on the internet with a Tina Fey avatar said there's this one puzzle that won't work perfectly with the Switch controls."

Engineering manager: "WHAT? Why didn't we realize that before?! One puzzle from the entire game won't convey the exact same experience as it did back then?? This whole project is pointless! Scrap it!"

this is so frustrating. I knew this was going to be difficult and felt like I had prepared myself well (signed up for alerts at several retailers, made sure all emails alerted me on my phone, etc). I didn't get alerts from Best Buy or Amazon or Walmart, and despite immediately going to the Gamestop site after getting the alert they were already gone.

@Leostacks
"2. That tag line of "mostly armless" painted a picture of a negative review."

I totally agree! I saw that and my heart sank because I thought it meant the game was a failed concept.

Re: Random: Somebody Put Yoshi Into Sonic 2, And The Results Are Amazing

@impurekind Pretty simple actually. The people who come on threads like this and talk about legal matters generally 1) enjoy Nintendo IP and Nintendo's rights to its IP, and 2) have real jobs and know what it's like to produce something in exchange for money. On the other side we have the people who produce nothing, are either too young or too lazy to have real jobs, and think that everything should be given to them for free.
