We've been poking fun at the Switch clock app AAA Clock for a little while now. But it won't be the only time-telling application in town very soon, as publisher kids room has announced Clock Maker: My Clock - ver. digital (with timer). How many seconds do you think it takes to say that out loud? (Thanks Automaton!)
On 6th October, the bell strikes on Nintendo Switch clock app rivalries when Clock Maker launches on the eShop. This app will let you create your very own digital clocks by using your finger or a stylus. But the real draw is that you'll be able to draw absolutely anything - -so you can get a little bit creative with your digital Switch clocks.
Look, we know the Switch has a built-in clock, but at least Clock Maker is only £1.00 / $1.00 on the eShop (unlike AAA Clock's $9.99 price), so if you're a budding digital horologist, at least this one won't set you back too far.
If you want a little bit more info on the game, then the eShop description certainly is interesting:
Feel free to draw as you wish with your finger or an electronic pen.
The time is ticked by the numbers you draw.
It will be a little bit warm and fuzzy when your lover or your child draws it for you.
◆ I recommend this app to...
Fathers who are working alone
Painters (including self-proclaimed painters)
People who want to use their Nintendo Switch™ as a clock.
etc...
◆ Features
・The day of the week, background, etc. can be drawn, and the tension will explode.
・It comes with a timer. It can be used as an accompaniment to cup noodles.
Hey, an instant noodle timer! Surely someone needs that, right? Right?
At least it's a little bit of fun and it's considerably cheaper. It's an affordable way to create your own clock, at least...?
Have you bought AAA Clock? Are you all wound up about these clock apps on Switch? Time is ticking, so let us know!

Cool !
Who need AAA games if I can play AAA Clock and this game ? 😆
Hang on, this actually looks quite cool. Draw your own clocks?! Hell yeah! Might actually get it for a quid.
Looking forward to your forthcoming review!
Well, really looking forward to this, time to move on? Regards, Splatman
Ford vs Ferrari will never beat this new epic rivalry!
Different domains, really. AAA Clock is proud trollware, this one is more about having another activity for a little kid or anyone older who fancies some "antistress" doodling inbetween taxing Splatoon 3 matches or Dark Souls sessions.
Remember the SNES days when everything came with Nintendo Seal of Approval guaranteeing quality & satisfaction. I wish Nintendo would set standards and requirements as the eshop has a ridiculous amount of shovelware.
It's about time AAA Clock got some competition.
I've got to hand it to the Switch...
It's cheaper than a Rolex.
"and the tension will explode"
@DiamondJim actually I red somewhere that the seal of quality doesn’t actually mean that the game is good. It just means that it won’t break your console.
@Greatluigi @DiamondJim Yeah I think some of the games on the SNES Switch Online app show the "seal of quality" didn't mean a lot!
AAA Clock doesn't do this! And it has a ton of DLC...
Meanwhile, mothers working alone continue to be a criminally overlooked segment of the market.
I'm good. Why would I buy a clock when the Switch already has a clock? 😅
I'll wait for a physical release.
Haven't seen many good doodle apps for the Switch. I do wish we could see more tablet-style apps as they would fit right at home.
We now live in an age where everyone is given a platform, a stage or soapbox if you will, whether it be in video game developing, music, or other crafts, unlike back then, when the platform was much more heavily gatekept by big companies.
This has at least proven one thing: Save for a few exceptions, the platform isn't for everyone. Some measure of gatekeeping still needs to exist, otherwise we end up with, in our case, the majority of titles in the eShop.
