Is everyone feeling a bit more chilled out after not-E3? Okay, we're still waiting for a Nintendo Direct, but we did get a Xenoblade Chronicles 3-focused presentation, where a new Expansion Pass was unveiled. The AM2R devs have reunited on a brand new stunning-looking Metroidvania project. And Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition finally dropped on consoles earlier this week.
It's also been a busy week for Sonic, who's celebrated his 31st birthday on Thursday! We sat down with Takashi Iizuka, the head of Sonic Team, to discuss Sonic Origins. We've also showered praise on AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative in our review. And, if you want to know where the best Good Bois are on Switch, then our Best Dogs list has you covered.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

Help. I can't stop playing Neon White. This game is so addictive; sometimes, even though I've got onto the leaderboard and got the Ace medal, I'll keep plugging away at the level because I've seen another possible shortcut. The highest I've placed is around 150, so I'm not that good, but it's so satisfying to claw up the ranks.
Also on the docket is Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country. Is it time for me to confess that I've never played Torna until now? I'm absolutely in love with Lora and Addam. But I'm up to my usual Xenoblade tricks of running around, fighting enemies that are too strong, doing every sidequest, and getting lost while exploring. Ahh, it's good to be back.

'Tis the season of countless game reveals which has me toying around with my backlog like a sliding block puzzle. I can’t make up my mind on which game to play as my heart is being torn left and right! The reveal of the Crisis Core remake and part two of Final Fantasy VII Remake finally gave me the push I needed to dive into the first part on my PS4 (please don’t disown me).
As for Switch, I most recently finished up AI: The Somnium Files in the lead-up to the release of the sequel, nirvanA Initiative (I went hands-on with the opening hours of the game for the YouTube channel — check it out here! — and already pretty spooked!)
I’ve also been playing through Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes and while I’m enjoying my time, I may put it down for a while to try and clean up a few more things on my plate before the other big RPGs hit us next month. Looking at you Live A Live, Digimon Survive and Xenoblade Chronicles 3...

I’m currently playing 3 games at the moment! The Witcher 3 (yes, still going strong with it), which I'm now at the final DLC. Hopefully, not too far in the future, I can finally say I fully beat The Witcher 3!
I've also started on a playthrough of Hollow Knight which is always a blast, together with a new playthrough of Cuphead with my brother in preparation for the much-awaited DLC!

No less than eight physical Switch games arrived this past week including long sought-after titles like Windjammers 2 and Horgihugh and Friends. Wreckfest is an absolute dream conversion while Pac-Man Museum+ at long last puts my favourite games of the franchise (Pac-Man Arragement and Pac-Mania) within hands grasp.
Unsurprisingly, game of the week is Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. This is an absolute must-have for anyone who played Fire Emblem: Three Houses even if you dislike the “Musou” series because it details the events that happened to everyone during the time skip. Long live King Dimitri!

I’m still slowly but surely making my way through Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic at the moment. I swear, I’ll finish it soon, honest! I’m savouring it as much as I can because you can be sure I won’t be touching the sequel until it’s a) received the additional DLC, and b) it’s fixed!
Otherwise, I’ll be diving into a couple of new games, primarily Sonic Origins and Fall Guys. The latter is a lot more fun than I thought it would be and I’m finding it quite addictive. All it needs is Craig Charles to provide some sarcastic narration in the background (shout out to all the Takeshi’s Castle fans out there).
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

This weekend I will try Cathedral
Also I will continue with Castlevania 64 as I wander around the Castle grounds now
Other than that I will fail some more in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and beat a couple of levels in DooM 64.
I was thinking of picking up a more recent game like Mario Strikers, but then the Devil whispered softly into my ear: "Now why would you do that? You could just play Fortnite you know..."
Now I'm on tier 71 in the new season. If I had a wife and kids, they would've left me.
Splitting focus between Three Hopes and Nirvana Initiative, at the moment more the latter.
Just bought Omori yesterday, so that.
Maybe a bit of Mario Kart 8 as well and Vigor.
8 Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure.
Love the artwork in this game.
An excellent Metroidvania that has really surprised me at how great it is.
Highly recommended.
Playing more dbd, I got nemesis the other day and been enjoying him! But sadako is my beloved.
Oh and since it was free on ps plus I’m finally trying boruto to Naruto striker.
Next week is cuphead and next month is live a live (I think) hype!
I'm having lots of fun playing Pokémon Snap so far. Now I've finished my exams I'll have a lot more time on my hands, so I guess I'll play whatever else comes to me.
On the switch il be yet again playing xenoblade chronicles 2 which I don't think il complete in time for number 3, there's just so much side quests and blade quests that it's starting to drag. Il also be playing some monster hunter rise and hopefully my copy of fire emblem warriors three hopes comes today.
On PS5 il hopefully complete Scarlet Nexus so then I can fully concentrate on trails of cold steel 1 and hopefully get it done before the new digimon game comes out at the end of July.
Started a 2nd playthrough of fire emblem three houses.
This is going to be a busy Switch weekend for me... While I'd like to get Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, I decided I want to avoid picking up any big games for the Switch right now so I can work on clearing my backlog a bit before Xenoblade 3 takes up all my time on the system. That being said, I did pick up the Capcom Fighting Collection, so I'll be doing my best to figure out how to play those games! They're all new to me, as are old 2D arcade fighters in general to be perfectly honest. I'm having fun, but they're really tough to learn! I also didn't make much progress in Crosscode's DLC last weekend, so I'll hopefully finish it up this weekend. On top of that, I did end up jumping back into the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. I finished Super Castlevania IV and decided to skip Castlevania: The Adventure, so now I'm on Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge. I think I'm about halfway through, it's been really fun so far!
On Steam Deck, I decided to be responsible and hold off on replaying Final Fantasy VII Remake until I finish some other games I wanted to get through, including FFXII on Switch. In the meantime, I'm a little over a third of the way through Spyro 3, so that'll be my game of choice for now. I'll probably mess around in some other games as well, but Spyro 3 is one I'd really like to get through soon.
I think I'm at the final two routes of AI: somnium (1).
This game is amazing, it's funny, it's gory, it's gut wrenching and heartwarming. It also has all of its writers usual mind blowing plot twists. (That have been foreshadowed so much I can't understand how I didn't see it!!)
Probably more Psychonauts 2 and Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.
Currently I'm getting into Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk, which is excellent. I'm also working out with Ring Fit Adventure, working my way towards Level 300.
Not a lot of gaming time this weekend as I'm also trying to finish my sweater (working on the second sleeve now), doing some research for work, going to Pride tomorrow, and getting everything ready for our next big adventure. In one month my wife and I are going to Peru, and we still have a few details to iron out.
Fire Emblem Three Hopes mainly. I'll also be playing some Panzer Dragoon remake, Arms and some Pokemon Snap too.
I have been avoiding games since finishing the epilogue in Hades (so sad to have to stop playing - what a game!). But I downloaded Disco Elysium, TMNT, and Kharon’s Crypt, so I will start one of those today. Happy gaming everyone!
Continuing with Symphony of War The Nephilim Saga, if I liked it earlier then I've fully fallen with this game now, this one's turning out to be a pretty big one, even the story & characters have turned out to a bit above the usual fare, some really cool story set pieces in this one.
Just made it to Chapter 21 (out of 30 something I believe) game has been totally linear chapter to chapter progression so far but I just unlocked a few side maps which seem to be there for you to get the legendary super weapons and whatnot if you so choose and prepare yourself for the lategame. As I've played I've gained a bit of a better understanding of how the squad system works and how to best make new squads, while it can get a bit long winded at times I've still quite enjoyed the management aspect of the game, combined with the permadeath it all just works really well, game's really not too hard either even on the hardest difficulty (though I hear they're gonna update it with an harder one later on) so there's still a ton of room for mistakes and experimentation which I do like.
I've also been playing quite a bit of Overwatch with a friend, I never imagined myself playing and enjoying an online FPS of all things, really have been having fun just doing some casual games, I've even gotten a bit better now (relatively) so that I'm not always just holding everyone back and now and then even manage to pull of some kind of neat plays. Getting used to both the FPS gameplay and mouse & keyboard controls was a hurdle to overcome but I'm glad I managed it. After lots of trying Roadhog is the character I've ended up enjoying the most, though Mercy, Ana & Mei are also cool.
Not a whole load of video game time at the moment. Picked up earthbound again after a couple of weeks off, aiming to try and finish before I go on hols in a few weeks. More Slay the Spire too although thinking I should probably give it a rest for a while as it’s starting to get a little boring… just can’t seem to stop though!
Finally started Assassin's Creed 2, casually syncing a bunch of viewpoints and looting a few chests as soon as I was allowed to walk Ezio around.😆 Boy, does this series belong on Switch. I've also procured Space Crew, and there are other recruits from earlier in the week that I plan to invest some of the weekend in - Mistover, Undermine, Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human, Bleed 2... I even double-dipped on a couple more PS+ Vita items (Uncanny Valley and Super Mutant Alien Assault). Just as well in the face of having fleeting thoughts of maybe putting my PS+ sub on hiatus (for purely financial reasons - the "special military operation" region's subscription cards are an unsurprising rarity these days and the few 12 month options left are up to $130 for what is now known as "Essential"... still think that Switch with its almost effortless region toggling has an inferior online system in all regards?😆), although I might still stomach the expenses. That aside, Switch itself should also see dips into other games from more roguelites (Everspace, Neon Chrome, Roundguard, likely Children of Morta and maybe Isaac) to more open-worlders (Dying Light, The Outer Worlds, BotW, Immortals, Xenoblade duo) plus other usual suspects like RF5, DerQ, Fuga, Bioshock 2, Torchlight 2, Clan O'Conall and whatnot.
Vita? Definitely, and even the uncertainties of sub renewal don't necessarily mean focusing on the PS+ stash (whereof I don't even have that much installed at the time) over the safely retail-purchased options like Gravity Rush and Monster Monpiece or the "totally legit" ones like Eternia, Blue Reflection and Xenogears. Fancying some more Spirit of Justice, Etrian Odyssey and Strange Journey, too (and maybe not this weekend, but as this comment section is my witness, I pledge to finally effin' start Ever Oasis before the end of June!). Laptop? Quite likely, probably more NFS Undercover, FFXIII and JC2, but I would also hope to make more progress in the binges whose later entries await and beckon me on Switch like Assassin's Creed ones did - particularly Red Faction and Witcher. And as far as emulation goes, resuming my NSO playthroughs like Zelda 2 and Yoshi's Island isn't outside the realm of possibility either... yeah, all roads lead to Switch.😄
@garfreek That actually makes me want to play that game. I’d never considered it before, so thanks.
I played PS4 games in the morning. 😊
1. Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions
2. Dreamworks Dragons: Dawn of New Riders
3. Kitaria Fables
And then I played XBOX 360 games in the afternoon.
1. Dr. Kawashima's: Body and Brain Exercises
2. Kinect Adventures
3. Dance Dance Revolution UNIVERSE
After beating Kirby 64 yesterday, I plan on starting Pokemon Snap for the very first time (can't wait to take pictures of literally everything) in addition to beating Let's Go Pikachu since I made it to the Pokemon League about a week ago and haven't made any progress since due to other things getting in the way so hopefully that'll also be out of the way by the end of the week.
Apart from that, there's some cool events happening in Pokemon Unite so I'll be picking that up again for the first time in 3 weeks, I'll be combing through the Switch-era Pokemon games for my Living Dex in Pokemon HOME and I'll probably reach back into my retro catalogue with a combination of either Mario Golf, Mean Bean Machine and Donkey Kong Country.
Overall a very Pokemon weekend.
Been stuck in doors isolating with Covid for the whole week so in that time I've just been playing Xenoblade 2 finishing all the side quest, affinity charts and extra bosses which I've made slow progress with and will carry on over the weekend working on. I've also been playing a bit of Xenogears on the side hoping to get that done before Xenoblade 3 releases. That being said I hope I get some time to fit Wild Arms in. I tried it out after the new Plus subscription launched and enjoyed what I played of it. There's a lot I want to get done before Xenoblade 3 releases which probably won't all be done.
Figuring out emulation on xbseries and bouncing around all of these for minutes at a time trying to lock into something: Invisible Inc, Nowhere Prophet, Neoverse, Disco Elysium, Turtles, and Sega ages Phantasy Star. I want to restart Xenoblade 2 and finish it some time this year.
Just beat the blue lions campaign in Fire emblem Three houses. Now i'm done with all houses including dlc except the "other" path of black eagles
Now i'll continue Final Fantasy X and maybe give Kirby and the forgotten lands another try (never really hooked me earlier)
Today being the 13th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing, I’d love to be playing Sonic Origins. But without his music I’ve skipped it altogether, so I’ll hopefully be reacquainting myself with an old friend from my Sega Saturn days… Street Fighter Alpha2, via the 30th Anniversary Collection on Switch. Have a good weekend all.
Well it would have been TMNT SR but due to the online shop CJS CD KEYS not providing the correct e-shop code (wrong region) and dragging their heels with regards to a providing me with a correct code or refund (potential future buyers be very aware and check out the bad reviews on Trustpilot!!), it will be episodes 4 and 5 on lego star wars. Happy gaming everyone and take note about my warning regarding CJS CD KEYS!!!
Earthbound and Eastward
No games for me today. Will enjoy this great weather. Have a great weekend everyone
Well I've had COVID this week so plenty of time to blast through some games and TV shows.
Switch wise I've been making the most of my online membership so Splatoon 2, Mario Strikers (bit of a dissapointment...) and dabbling in Super Metroid.
I'm continuing my playthroughs of Xenoblade Chronicles 3d and Horizon Forbidden West (Both about 20 hours in so far).
But my proudest accomplishment for the week would be how many game pass games I've beaten. Trek to Yomi, Citizen Sleeper, Donut County, Disc room and currently on Tunic.
@AmplifyMJ
Oh, wait. Today?
Michael Jackson's passing anniversary?
Gosh... Time flies so fast.
Picked up Enter the Gungeon so I'll continue dying in that and also got Hob: Definite Edition from the sale when I saw a comment here saying a patch made handheld mode a lot better but unfortunately they shut off my internet before I could download that...so I'll just be entering the Gungeon while I miss Fortnite and wondering if Hob is fun.
I am in a lovely season of backlog completion! This weekend I will likely play through a bit of Kirby (but with no real plans to finish it) and hopefully get through this confusing spot in Axiom Verge 2!
Axiom Verge is a lovely series, but for the life of me I cannot wrap my head around them the way I have the Ori or Guacamelee series, idk if anyone else has experienced something similar.
If I complete those two, then the only games left in my backlog would be Haven and Neo: The World Ends with You
@Anti-Matter yes, 13 years. June 25th, 2009
Mostly Fall Guys. Glad to have a new online game to replace my Tetris Effects/Puyo Tetris 2 addiction for a bit!
7 chapters of Xenoblade 1 left so I'm probably gonna try and get both that finished as well as 2! Also gonna be dropping into Fall Guys every now and then too, it's so much fun.
I Was playing Splatoon 2 octo expansion (yeah i know, late to the party) .. but it’s not the same as the main game, so disappointing right now. I really hope 3’s single player is more accessible and fun.
Back to Turf War i guess
I am just starting the third in game day of disco elysium and it is blowing my mind!! The internal monologue with your character stats are incredible- funny, inventive and always interesting. I'm glad the switch version has the voice acting- there would have been ALOT of reading otherwise and I may have stopped playing..... Breaking this up with runs of undermine
Probably some more TMNT Shredder's Revenge with my wife and daughter. I beat the game with just my wife last weekend, but I'll be going through the rest of it with my whole family this time. It's such an awesome game, topping the arcade games for sure.
Also, my vacation starts now, so I may buy the regular NSO for my wife and I and play some Splatoon 2 and Fall Guys throughout the week.
I’m nearing the end of 13 Sentinels so I might beat that this weekend.
I played some TMNT Shredders Revenge with my boy this morning and we had so much fun in coop. I think we have a new fan, a shame none of the cartoons or films are streaming in the U.K.
This has tempted me to pick up Scott Pilgrim in the sale for 4 quid, and to mix the above together I might try Muramasa Rebirth on my Vita once I’ve finished 13 Sentinels.
I ordered a copy of Mario Strikers, which should arrive today.
On the Xbox I am playing more Forza Motorsport 2, but took a break from Godfall to return to Anthem and try to mop up the achievements I'm missing. I know Anthem got a lot of hate, but I love the movement in that game.
Just completed Control: Ultimate Edition so it’s either Cross Code or SMT IV next to start. Though with XC3 around the corner, the original is begging for me to restart it and try again. Got 20 hours in last time before giving up.
@nhSnork I keep meaning to ask, do you actually play all the games on your list every week? There are close to 40 games on that list. On a totally gaming-dedicated day (which is a rarity for me) I can only play maybe four or five games. How do you even do this?
Every time I read your WAYPTW, my mind is picturing a person playing on a Vita in the left hand, a Switch in the right hand, a laptop open on the coffee table and something else playing on a PS5 at the same time.
This week I will be mostly playing
Lego Skywalker Saga
Tetris Effect
Mayhem in Monsterland
@Aispen where are you in x, and it's it your first time? 😁
I completed last month and absolutely loved it! ❤️❤️
This weekend I’m playing a few different things. First up:
Diablo III (Xbox Series X) - I just reached Act II at level 40 on hard difficulty, and sometimes switching it to expert. The moment to moment gameplay is so satisfying. The game encourages player agency each time due to its randomly generated map and quest system. I’ve heard people knock on this game due to its story, but I find it quite serviceable and compelling. I really can’t wait for Diablo IV.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge (PS5). I’m chipping away at the Platinum trophy. I just got the trophy for the 250-hit combo without being touched (I did it legitimately, too, which was a pain), so now I need three more trophies. This game is absolutely excellent. Each character feels unique and are fun to learn, but Casey Jones is the best behind Michaelangelo. I would love to see the developer tackle an X-Men beat-‘em-up some day.
Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes (Nintendo Switch) - I haven’t touched my Switch in months, but this game intrigued me. I’m a fan of Musou games dating back to Dynasty Warriors 2, and particularly 4, in which I used to play cooperatively with my best friend on the PS2 for hours a day during summer vacation.
Neon White (Nintendo Switch) - I started the game last night and it is absolutely incredible. I haven’t been able to put it down. Before I knew it, four hours had gone by. Everything about this game is so well done. The writing and characters are goofy; the controls are tight and responsive; the soundtrack is fantastic; and overall the game is incredibly addicting. I haven’t played a game like this before, and it’s very special. In fact, it might be my GOTY so far.
Just completed Traingle Strategy after 40 hours excellent game. I got AI The Somnium Files 2 and Live A Live on pre order can't wait. I got Celeste, Eastward, Pokemon Arceus and Fire Emblem Three Houses on the go and I probably plan to check out Neon White, Olli Olli World and Kirby at some point
@JasmineDragon which is obviously inaccurate because I don't have a PS5.😆
On a serious note, these are mostly shameless ambitions, and my WAYPTW comments often self-deprecatatingly lampshade as much.😏 But it's not too uncommon for me to waltz over quite a lot of the planned stuff (a stage here, a quest there), and what I don't get down to can often still influence my playtime choices through the next week.
Tried out the demo of FE: Three Hope last night. I did play about half of FE: Warriors years ago before I dropped off. I can see a similar thing happening with Three Hopes. I was just wishing the whole time we had a new mainline FE game instead. Will keep playing the demo and perhaps my mind will be changed.
After finished both Digimon cyber sleuth and hacker memory, I think I need break from RPG before Xenoblade 3 arrived. So I think I will try AI somnium files for the time being
@IronMan30 how are you finding Psychonauts 2? I just finished Psychonauts for the first time after wanting to play it for years and I found it good but not up to all of the hype it’s received over the years.
I’m about 10 hours into the sequel now and have been enjoying it immensely. For my money, at least so far, it seems to have fixed every gripe I had with the original and seems to be unquestionably a better game
This weekend I'll be focused on Capcom Fighting Collection (the first Darkstalkers and Super Puzzle Fighter, mainly) and Sonic Origins with a match or two of Mahjong Adventures here and there
Already played some Asphalt 9 this morning. Current gaming plans include playing Borderlands 2, got it from the Steam Summer Sale, and the classic PC game, Strike Commander. Enjoying Borderlands 2 so far.
Another busy summer weekend will cut into my gaming time, but c’est la vie. I’ll squeeze in another run with the Watcher in Slay the Spire, and probably dabble around in Capcom Arcade Stadium as I picked it up on sale this week.
The Constitution doesn’t specifically codify my right to game, so I best do it now before the US Supreme Court decides it’s illegal (sadly only half-joking).
Decided to finally start GTA Trilogy. Started with GTA III, not seen any noticeable issues so far so hopefully all the infamous glitches are now sorted. Certainly a lot of improvements over the PS2 originals. Also played a bit of Avengers as that's had several updates since I last picked it up.
@garfreek
Final Fantasy X spoilers maybe
It's my first time playing and I'm at the fight with a certain weird looking dude around 17 hours in. I like the change in combat with the character-swapping and it doesn't feel as slooow as the PS1 games can do. The plot hasn't completely caught me yet but i love a good island-theme game
Fall guys. Love it. Had me laughing out loud. So many courses.
Another month, another community day in Pokemon Go, this time around its Deino. Speaking of Pokemon, I’ll also be checking out Pokemon Snap this weekend as well. I might play some more Roller Champions while I'm at it.
Another busy weekend.... Summers are supposed to be relaxing! XD
I picked up Gato Roboto in the Switch eShop sale and am having a (literal) blast! It's not as good as the series it heavily draws inspiration from (Metroid), but it's still quite enjoyable with upgrades and cartridges to collect, hostile environments to explore, and the fact that you're an adorable feline furball named Kiki. The plot is a weird one and motivates you to keep exploring.
Elsewhere, I've started Ys I & II Chronicles+ on PC and am currently a couple of hours into Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished. This is a fun action RPG with "bump" combat, which was easy to get a hang of. From what little I've seen of the original game, Nihon Falcom cleaned up this release nicely. I'm curious to see what else happens to Adol on his first adventure.
Finally, I'll try to work in some Deino Community Day time in Pokemon Go. I'll sadly be attending a funeral and its proceedings during most of the three hour time slot though....I wish Niantic had left it at six hours.
Happy gaming!
I finally got around to trying out Metroid Dread so I’ll be all over that this weekend, loving it so far. That and I am still motoring my way through Devil May Cry 5, so should be an action-packed weekend
I’m mostly going to be playing single player, with a bit of multiplayer sprinkles in. My primary game I’ll be playing is Sonic Origins. I’m really enjoying the story mode (aside from Sonic CD) and the missions. The game feels like it has lots to do, but it isn’t overwhelming. I’m pleased to say that my second game is Hollow Knight. I gave it one more try like I said I would last week and I think it finally got through to me. I’m about 3-3.5 hours in and I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m just going all over the place finding new places to explore. I did finally decide that I need to get to the City of Tears, which I remembered from my previous attempt to play the game. I’m really liking it so far and I’m completely content with just taking my time with it. If I play any other games this weekend, it will most likely be Mario Strikers Battle League. I still have 5 Galactic Cups to finish up in the game. For multiplayer I’ll be playing Fall Guys and Fortnite with my friends. I have a lot to play this weekend and I hope that everyone is able to enjoy their weekend like I know I will!
My usual routine everyday:
Switch:
5 rounds ou Pokémon Unite after lunch (hate makes digestion fast haha)
1 hour of Xeno 1 at night before slepping.
PS4:
1 hour of ESO.
2 levels of Ghost of Tsushima Legends.
2 levels of GTA Online (trying to get to 100 for a trophy)
All other hours possible will be to finish up Judgment (amazing game)
Switch:
me and my wife are addicted. We want to make all the achievements. Online is great too! Huge chaos!)
Steam:
I'm getting soooo impatient for Xenoblade 3 ugh
But for me I'm continuing to do my 5th playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I finally made it to the Crimson Flower Route (I didn't miss speaking to edelgard this time woo!) and I'm currently on chapter 13. I heard this route is a shorter one so I should be done before Xenoblade 3 releases.
I also did buy No More Heroes 3 since it went on sale. However I haven't started it yet and I haven't decided when I want too. If there's enough time after I finish Three Houses again then maybe I'll start this one.
TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, Shantae, and Mario Strikers Battle League.
@MajorasLapdog I loved the first game and the second is an improvement, so far. I'm probably also about 10 hours in.
@Zuljaras That's a good list there. I kicked off Cathedral the other week and it's a good fun, more action driven, serviceable Metroidvania-- Not bad. I'm hoping Castlevania 64 (or preferably Legacy of Darkness) comes to NSO as I thought this entry wasn't half bad despite it's lack of critical success. That MUSIC! You had me dying on "fail some more in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" 😂😭 we've ALL been there!
@AlanaHagues We are in a similar boat. I'm FINALLY starting to get serious with this game I should've BEEN beaten 😅
As for me, XC2:Torna the Golden Country will be my main, though I'm on possibly the last stage for Wallachia: Reign of Dracula so that will likely be beaten today. I may go back to Cathedral to play that concurrently with Torna, but we'll see. I'm debating picking up either some games from the Big Ol' Sale, or just a game or two (or more) from my wishlist-- I've been feeling like playing the 1942 series from Capcom Arcade so I may go ahead and get 1942, 1941, 19XX, and 1944 at long last.
Fall Guys - so fun and addictive even though I am kinda bad. Very much enjoying after waiting 2 years for it to come to Switch.
Shredder's Revenge - One of the most balanced and overall fun beat-'em-ups I've ever played. I played story mode last week but more modes and characters to try out.
Stardew Valley - the recent free trial snagged me. Now I can't stop playing until I marry Maru.
@Aispen hope the plot grabs you soon! If you're where I think you are the bigger plot points will slowly start to role out about now! 😁
I loved the characters, music, and the battles. Just everything is pretty tightly paced, and the music is just so fitting with everything!
Just subbed to Game Pass Ultimate for three months, so I'm poking around that catalogue and testing out their cloud streaming for console-only games.
Really wish there was a quick way to catchup on Xenoblade without playing the games all over again. Nintendo needs to do a manga/anime adaptation of 1 & 2.
Mostly Sonic Origins and Hollow Knight, with some BOTW sprinkled in. Looking forward to playing the new Cuphead DLC!
Sonic Gems Collection Sonic Mega Collection Plus. After the disaster that is Sonic Origins I decided to fish those out and honestly they just put the whole thing to shame. I'll likely play some Kirby Return to Dreamland along with Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster as well.
I’ll continue my playthrough of Subnautica, really enjoying the game experience. I recently found a bunch of DS/3DS games I thought were lost. There’s a ton of titles like Zelda Spirit Tracks, Contra 4, even found the entire 999 series so looking fwd to get getting reacquainted with my 3DS.
I caved and purchased TMNT and finally got AI The Somnium Files 1 on the cheap from the Big Ol Super Sale. Now..just waiting for Obra Din to go on sale…will Rebel Galaxy Outlaw ever go on sale?
As per usual this weekend will include some excellent dining, time with friends, top grade strains on deck are Pink Death, Gods Green Crack and LA Kush Cake!
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
@AmplifyMJ
13 years! I still remember the moment I heard the news! I was in shock!…he passed in the exact same way he vowed to avoid, as another victim of fame. Sad irony! I’ll bump some MJ today 💯!
@JasmineDragon
That reply cracked me up! I’m sure u weren’t the only one wondering how they were managing to play THAT many titles over THAT many consoles every single weekend. @nhSnork…was beginning to believe your ambitious gaming was simply your career!
Oh on a final note..if Nintendo doesn’t drop a Direct next week can we chill out on the hate and disappointment?? Nintendo hasnt announced or promised anything at this point. Stop being caught up in the false expectations of others! Enjoy your lives, a Direct will happen when it happens! Treat it as a pleasant surprise.
@Axecon well, event theaters are a thing.
Xbox Series X: TMNT Shredders Revenge. Finished my first playthrough now I am working on leveling up Raph.
Mobile: Diablo Immortal. Took a short break from this to play a few games I got on my Series X, but I am back now leveling up my Demon Hunter.
@MeloMan Castlevania 64 is indeed one of the most underrated games in the series
Elden Ring and Psychonauts 2 on my new Series S. I've had it for two weeks now and absolutely love it. There are just some awesome games that are never coming to the Switch that I wanted to play.
On the Switch, Spiritfarer and finishing up Shredder's Revenge.
Finished off and fatigued on Forza Horizon 4 and started and completed Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion this week. F A N T A S T I C little indie gem that does not get enough talk. The perfect car racing palette cleanser I needed. I still wish to finish off Forza Horizon 1 & 3 before the end of the year but need to take my talents elsewhere first
Still playing my nightly rounds of Tetris 99 & Nintendo Switch Sports. I’m having a hard time getting past B rank in Tennis but I’m hoping to overcome it this week
Looking forward to playing some Star Wars Squadrons (watching Obi Wan had me wanting more) before the big juggernaut of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak takes over
Happy gaming everyone!
Well it looks like I won’t be doing DQ11 as I got some new games to play.Got the so far excellent Capcom Fighting game collection and also the new AI the somnium files game. And I am in a mood for fighting games and vn I will do AI and fruit of Grisaia. Good stuff
Working my way through some indies I picked up in the e-shop sale. I finished A Short Hike and Gris this week and started Spiritfarer today. Killing time until XC3.
@imogenpeach I hope you enjoy Spiritfarer! I bought it a while ago and just started it finally a few weeks ago. A really, really good game, great lessons about living life to the fullest and making peace with death.
@Rainz indeed, he didn’t want to end up like James Brown, working till he died… exactly what happened in the end, spent his entire life on the stage!
On Switch, some Xenoblade Chronicles 1, on my new-game+, just trying to do some sidequests to get the extra character trees. On PS4, some Tales of Berseria and Scarlet Nexus, while trying to ignore the urge to play Persona 5 Royal instead.
Didn't get much time to game last night on switch. My co worker stopped by so we pretty much messed with the raspberry pi, arcade 1 up cabs, and some wii u. We did however play a little SoR4 since he's never played it but is a big fan of the series.
Hopefully tonight will be a little more quiet and I can finally play 3 Hopes and ElecHead.
I’m playing Dragons Dogma dark arisen on the switch and it’s fantastic, when I heard it was basically a Skyrim/Witcher made by capcom I knew it was gonna be great and i was correct. And tmnt on gamepass.
FE Three Hopes and Dead By Daylight for me on Switch. I've also been addicted to Marvel Snap on my phone.
Nothing…
Enjoying all the fantastic music that Glastonbury has to offer to considering any gaming..
Wreckfest is absolutely mint, I have it elsewhere with a rig setup but love being able to casually get my wreck on. Further proof that in-house is the way to port to Switch
@Teksetter Your comment reminded me to actually check the prices on Backlog Club Games™ - I still nurse hopes of actually, properly participating someday (... before Kate kicks me out for being too mouthy). And here I find that, at last... StS is on sale! I can finally put my money where my big mouth is.
And since I roll in solidarity with your entire comment, it's rather appropriate...
@CANOEberry
I’m glad you’re finally able to try StS, and for a bargain! That makes you a Backlog Club™️ retro gamer. I have to see what Kate announces after Obra Dinn, and maybe jump back in if it’s actually a title in my backlog.
I feel like StS is one of those amazing value games that entertains well beyond its retail price, like Hollow Knight. Have fun and keep us posted on your progress!
And thanks for humoring my segues into real life issues. I know it’s not the forum for it here, but thoughts intrude sometime. Obviously I need to do more real life socializing and less venting in NLife comments! 😅
Playing Wreckfest to death, what a great port. I recommend to everyone who loves a fun racing game.
Also got back to my challenge of getting Fulham in to the Premier Lesgue on Football Manager 22.
I've been enjoying me some Namco QuickSpot, it's like 20 bucks so of course I had to bite.
Im waiting on my copy of pocky and rocky reshrined still, but thats what Ill be playing! Ive been very excited for this release for a long time, and the delay is finally over...
I started playing Bravely Default II this week. So far it's a pretty solid classic style JRPG. certainly not on par with classics like final fantasy IX or Chrono Trigger (not yet anyway), but pretty decent so far. I've also been bouncing back and forth playing through Immortals: fenyx rising, also a fairly solid game, but not on par with breath of the wild. My backlog is growing.
Going through Xenoblade 2 again.
Hyper Light Drifter – Special Edition. I'm on my way to the third boss. Released two monoliths on the west side of the map, if I don't confuse. And I finished 1943: The Battle of Midway. And cleared Arcade Mode in BLAZBLUE CENTRALFICTION Special Edition playing as Hazama. Yep... That's all what I've played on this week. Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
