I'm interested in Sakuna but I'm financially challenged this month. Car inspection & registration, rent, food and other little things must take priority over entertainment. Sucks being a grown up, heheh.
If i want to disappear (or make the world disappear) into a game it's DQ XI S for me. I love the story and the game play. I never mind grinding in DQ game.
When shaking a tree always have your net equipped and stand right in front. No more stings! You often need to shake a tree 10 or 12 times to get an acorn or pine cone.
I'm not exactly a social butterfly myself. i've only visited like 4 islands. The people were great but I get anxious after a bit. The communication system is so slow and ridiculous. Typical nintendo.
The nice thing about the dream visit is you don't really interact with anyone, just tour the island.
I'm pretty sure there will be autumnal changes in September, at least transitional. I would be tempted start a new island if i didn't have to beg for the non-native fruits/flowers. I don't care for being forced to do it. I tend to enjoy the journey more than the destination, I guess. I'm not a completionist in AC, as I said I get what I like and don't bother with what I don't.
But I play AC for a different purpose than anyone I know.
@rjejr I only keep/display what I like. I don't have a logical reason to have Godzilla on my island so he's not there. My island is sparsely decorated compared to many I've seen.
But I think the point of the game is the individuality to make your world the way you want. I may get into more terra forming down the road.
I really, really wish we could have more than 1 island. It would give the chance to create completely different scenarios that would get players out of their comfort zone. Daddy Ninty didnt see it that way, unfortunately.
I spent a good part of today cleaning out the damn lilies. Those things multiply like freaking rabbits!
@rjejr
Yeah, I was a 95% handheld gamer but the eyes love the TV display now.
Wow! You have a LOT of stuff!!! Very cool island! Mine is almost minimalist in comparison, heheh. I've only done a little terra forming. I tend to be house proud in AC games.
@travisrusko You are talking absolute rubbish. Proof is you included Biden in your scenario. Biden is in no way, shape, or form a socialist. Learn the difference between a socialist and a democratic socialist.
Care to discuss the "leader" who believes tariffs are paid by the exporting country?
It's suggested that you give the sprites flour, which does work. With little money at the beginning I started giving them honey which renews from the trees almost everyday.
I restarted after playing thru a few days to get the rhythm of the game. It helped me enjoy it more.
I know I'm in the minority but I find Stardew Valley vastly over rated. I find it boring and just drudgery. I admire the guy for the work he's put in and his updates, but I don't care for the game. Yet I'm loving SosFoMT.
When you get 4 or more music friendship notes with Huang it will trigger a cutscene inside Zack's house where Huang announces that you can now sell to him. Gold ore is the fastest way to befriend him. Apples work too, just a bit slower.
@polterpupp Once you befriend the sprites and they water crops for you the time gets much easier to manage.
It's a lovely, addictive game. I got it last Friday and at Autumn 22 yr 1. Won a fortune on the horse races, another thing that makes play easier. My character is dating 3 people and on his way to a very diverse harem, heheh. (When I see how far along many over at Fogu are I feel like a slacker.)
The only negatives for me are the lack of real customization of the main character and they took out rival romances. I hate the thought of all the others in town being alone. I know: it's only a game, but still...

Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Not The Zelda Game You Want, But Perhaps The One You Need
@Vsaxo27
I disagree. The New 3DS had much better 3d with eye tracking and the screen was a perfect size. The battery life on mine was better, too.
It took a good basis and perfected it.
Re: Site News: Nintendo Life Turns 15 Today
Finally something good during 2020!
Happy birthday, NL, and may there be many more.

Yeah, island clean up etc is always chill.

Re: Gal*Gun Returns To Bare All In Super-Limited "Birthday Suit Collector's Edition"
@acNewUpdates
Sorry, but that's a strawman. Plenty of people get upset about violence in video games. Not taking any side, but just saying.
Re: Soapbox: An Ode To The 3DS, Nintendo's Workhorse Console
@bobzbulder
Yeah, comparing the effect the assassination of a president has with the expected demise of a gaming system, no matter how great, is tasteless.
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th October (North America)
I'm getting Pikmin 3 physical.
Re: Review: Oceanhorn 2: Knights Of The Lost Realm - A Likeable But Ultimately Shallow Zelda Clone
One question: do the weapons constantly break?
Re: Review: Pikmin 3 Deluxe - Perhaps Not Worth A Double Dip, But The Choice Pick For New Players
Never played it, enjoyed the demo, thought it looked fine.
Got a couple games I can trade toward it at Gamestoppo so I'll pick it up this week.
Re: Warner Bros. Halloween Sale Offers Lots Of Lovely Switch Discounts (North America)
I guess I'll final pick up the Harry Potter collection. It's gonna be a long, lonely winter.
Re: Feature: Horace Developers On Die Hard, Britishness, And Finding The Right Genre Label
@nessisonett
Not necessarily. I get Brit humour better than Yank. My grandfather was from Sheffield, so perhaps it's genetic.
Blanket statements only tend to cover stereotypes. (See what I did there...)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 17th)
Checking on my island and diving into Ni No Kuni. It's a great game.

No need to insult moms. Some of us are gamers too.

At least that would give her plenty of time to run away whilst laughing hysterically.

Re: Feature: Video Game Vocab To Spark Forum Wars - Ten Of Gaming's Trickiest Terms
Just to extend the concept a bit I'd like the term troll to revert to its original definition: someone purposely stirring ***** to get a reaction.
It does not mean someone who merely disagrees with you.

Should that be meditation?

More than 93% of the protests have been peaceful. The same cannot be said for the counter protests.
But we have a new drinking game: take a shot whenever someone uses the term 'woke'. We'll all be pissed in no time.
Re: Nintendo Reveals Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, A New Zelda Set 100 Years Before Breath Of The Wild
I've never played a warrior game. Can they be played solo? Are there rpg elements?
Re: Soapbox: Nintendogs Prepared Me For Life As A Dog Owner, And Now I Want A Switch Version
It's a site about video games, ffs.
Everyone needs to take a deep breath and be a bit kinder in responses. So many threads are being derailed by angry, aggressive posts.
Re: There's A New Seasonal Item Available In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
I've never gotten a recipe from Isabelle. Seem to rarely get any new ones from balloons.

Thanks for the laugh.

Truly curious: do you include yourself in that assessment?
