I've been playing on and off since the game launched and the shiny rate/perfect IV/ encounter rate for rare monsters for me has always been pants.

I'm convinced that Niantic not only apply chance rates on monsters but they're also on players. During community days, I get one or two shinies and my wife next to me ends up with 5 or 6 and we catch the same amount.

During the Go Fest, she absolutely obliterated me on the number of desirable monsters despite me playing for longer and catching more.

I know that odds don't work as simply as the above and it could be bad luck on my part but when something is that disproportionate it does raise questions

So yeah, I'd like rates to be disclosed.

I'm not getting these but it's good to know the website is working this time.

I hated the film remake. It has no soul or personality when compared to the original. I've got no problems with 3D animation but the designs were off and too jarring. However I understand that being an adult, I may not have been the target audience for the film 😂

The manga looks like the original movie, but with Ash's updated look and the new title slapped on it, so that's not a bad thing. Here's hoping the Vikings joke has been slipped in. I was disappointed that didn't make the remake.

@Dang69 I've not played Origin but like you I fell in love with Ys8 and have been collecting the others in the series. Not disappointed yet.

€30 isn't too bad for a limited Switch game but I'm going to hold off until I see the digital price. It's good it's not a numbered release from Limited Run - means there will be less of a rush to buy it.

This article was 21 minutes old when I jumped on this. Their website is still not working. After the experience I had with the Splatoon posters I don't know why I still bother. (Although with the posters I got the postage refunded as gold points).

Just like New Super Mario U Deluxe, I'm sticking with the Wii U version until I find a copy for £10 or under.

The game is great and a must have for anyone who's not played it, but the graphical upgrade will be minimal and nothing is going to beat the Wii remote control set up.

I'm going to say this and run away: even though it is a remaster - Xenoblade is better than Breath of the Wild and should be on the list.

I get what you mean about the money. Especially for a free game.

Don't get me wrong, I love these events and the themes are great, but part of me wishes they will go back to having the odd competition with the gold coin prizes.

If it is the DLC announcement expect a release date for the physical edition. The devs said when the DLC is done they'll bundle it all together 😊 I'm excited for this!

Gold and silver because of the end game content visiting Kanto and as annoying as chasing the legendary good bois around the world was, it was unique. Also the day)night cycle, intro to shinys and breeding were all really cool.

X&Y would be the second choice.

I didn't get on with Pearl/Diamond or Black/White as I didn't like the designs (except Trubbish)

It's this generation's Tank! Tank! Tank! And I'm all for it.

I'm really eggcited for a few more Splatfests. They feel special being held occasionally rather than monthly.

I really feel that if it wasn't for all the stuff going on at the moment we might be hearing about Splatoon 3 but still really happy for this.

Revenue for Nintendo was about $10bn last year. Activision was about $6bn and Activision pays their top executive over 10x the wage of Nintendo's.

Activision has still had to make lay offs and Nintendo doesn't. I wonder why...

Nintendo is still at it with Mario kart 8 and the free Mercedes-Benz DLC (or already included in MK8 Deluxe.

I love the look of the game, even the battle system. Just can't afford anything extravagant at the moment. But when things get back on track, you bet I'm getting this! 😊

I just hope that Prime 4 has the perfect controls. I found that the GameCube and Wii versions had almost perfect controls but random stuff spoilt it. Having A as shoot instead of B on the Wii remote for one*

*Yes, I know you could invert the controls to fix it but it literally inverted everything so still wasn't perfect.

Just because the content doesn't offend YOU doesn't mean its offensive.

Video games are supposed to be inclusive and if mistakes were made then the developer has every right to fix it. Rather than moan that a slight change - which doesn't effect you - how about just accepting this change as a positive?

I'm not sure with what's going on at Ubisoft that there will ever be another Nintendo tie in.

The idea of being a fully powered console that is also a handheld is perfection. Nintendo will always to to innovate but this has to be their standard going forward. While I know that specs don't matter, for their next console, power has to be a consideration. If they are able to get close to Microsoft/Sony they'd attract back the big third party games.

What I am getting at is for a Switch 2 I'd like the same but more 😂

People are mad because the pledge said "includes all postage costs, fees and taxes" it is reasonable to expect import fees to be covered. It was only after the campaign started were the FAQs updated but no notifications were sent to say this was a thing. The opportunity wasn't there to make provisions or cancel based on the new information.

That aside, I've imported things from all over the world at higher values and not paid import tax. It seems that people are having this issue because the paperwork wasn't completed properly and incurring admin fees to correct.

Seems like Nintendo and the Pokémon company aren't as friendly as they previously were.

Time was there was only the odd spin-off here and there and now it seems were swamped with Pocket Monster games left right and centre.

This is good news.

For a while I have had a theory about Nintendo's approach to mobile games.

Nintendo have always said that they only want their games on their systems.

What if they deliberately made bad mobile games to firstly plicate their shareholders, then be in a position to say "well, we tried. We tried different models but it seems consumers want Nintendo games on Nintendo systems".

Nintendo could have easily made a better Mario platformer & Mario Kart on mobile phones. Technically there's not much difference between a high powered Android phone and the Switch.

My reckoning is that they knew early on that it wouldn't benefit their customers and tried to put people off with their outrageous monetary models. ☺️

Their PR doesn't try to hide that it's FIFA 19 again.

In that case, I won't try to hide the fact I won't buy this. ☺️

I liked the game back when it came out. Although with the Legacy of Kain and Darksiders series coming after it, I'm not sure how well the remaster will hold up. Still, I'm willing to give it a go.

My short answer is no.

The long answer is:
I'm seriously tempted to get the digital only ps5 and I think it's a good jumping off point to do so. To release a digital only edition ala Microsoft doesn't make sense to me.

Based on Nintendo's history or backwards compatibility then maybe for the next console since they are rolling back-compat into their subscription service so it would make sense to do it for their next console.

With ring fit and labo, Nintendo also seem to have that covered to. If you buy Pokémon sword and shield digitally, you can claim a steel book. What's to stop Nintendo to sell the ring con with a digital code? Or sending one when it's bought through the e-shop. It seemed strange to have a steel book sent, but the more I think about it, the more it's a test for a digital only future.

Since it's a free to play game and the cost is really reasonable I might bite. Since the last Splatfest, my attentions are elsewhere. ☺️

I think I'll be getting this on release. The Alex Kidd series was my jam as a kid and it introduced me to the world of Shinobi.

@JoeM103 it took me weeks but a combination of the Nintendo Uk store wishlist and notifications from Stock informer (put them together and add dot co dot UK) helped get my copy last week. Keep at it though. The game is worth it ☺️

I've got too much to play at the moment so I'm not getting it straight away but it does look like a fun little party game ☺️

The artwork on this is amazing and I love the old school Looney Toons / Disney vibes with this ☺️

Also, who doesn't love scraggy!?

Perhaps Nintendo could have included a copy of the game for a higher price and called it a bundle, even if the dlc was still a code, it would be better than wasting a plastic box. ☺️

I haven't played Sword & Shield so I didn't know that Meowth didn't evolve into Persian. That was a cool surprise when I did it in PoGo this afternoon as I somehow managed to avoid a potential spoiler ☺️

I'm a bit cautious with Kickstarter campaigns for games unless it's a remake or rerelease but I hope it succeeds. It's already half way funded. Personally I will wait for reviews since controls are so important with these types of game.

Surely not having a physical product in the box doesn't look the best in an age where we're all trying to cut back on waste.

Is this purely a way for publishers to support a retail industry that needs to adapt or am I missing something? ☺️
