It's the weekend once more, which means it's definitely time to start turning on your favourite Nintendo console and catch up on some much-needed gaming time. Team Nintendo Life is doing just that, with everything from some Animal Crossing on 3DS to a brand new MOBA on Switch getting a good workout. Feel free to leave a vote in this week's poll, and a comment or two down below with your gaming picks. Have a great weekend!

This weekend, I’ll be diving back into some old 3DS games - probably some Pokémon titles, among others - as I play remotely at my lake cabin, celebrating the 4th of July stateside this week. I played a lot of Pokémon on Game Boy at our cabin as a kid, because we didn’t have time limits on video games on the weekends, so it’s a bit nostalgic for me.
Normally these days, I’d bring my Switch on the go, but I prefer the risk of dropping a slightly-less-valuable 3DS into the lake (it’s happened before - don’t play video games on a speedboat). Then, there’s always the Fireworks Show to check in on with New Leaf, considering we’re still in an Animal Crossing Switch desert with no end in sight... *sobs into her BBQ & apple pie*

I’ve just been away for a week on a digital detox holiday, so I am absolutely gagging for a good old gaming weekend. I’ve got plenty to play as well, thanks to that lovely influx of Switch games we just got. I had Mario Tennis Aces waiting for me as I opened the door, and picked up Golf Story in the sale while I was away. Over lunch on Friday I grabbed Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy as well, so that’s already three killer titles. I absolutely loved me some Crash on PS4, but forgot to go back to it so I’m really good for the portability this time around.
I’m also of two minds to go and grab Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus over the weekend. The only reason I hesitated is because I haven’t played the first couple, so I might wait for a sale on PS4 or just dive right in. We shall see! Finally, I’m also obviously going to boot up the holy trinity of Splatoon 2, FIFA 18, and Fortnite for some multiplayer action. The Switch feels like a gift that just keeps on giving, and I can’t find the time to play everything I want to!

This weekend I’ll be exploring the once-mighty kingdom of Hallownest in the eShop hit, Hollow Knight. Earlier this week I had my first victory against the mysterious and nimble character, Hornet, so I’m looking to push on with my newly acquired dash ability and delve deeper into the depths below.
When I’m not slaying bugs, I’ll be spending time with my brand new NES Classic Mini. I missed out on the previous shipment locally, so I’m looking forward to finally being able to revisit all of the classics. I’m sure I’ll also find some time for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Over the next two days, things are looking a little quiet on the gaming front - for me, at least. But thanks to a very kind friend who generously gifted me with a surprise £25 eShop voucher just the other day; I'll be squid-launching back into the sublime Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion. Splatoon 2's standard campaign is all well and good - you can't argue that it's far better than what Splatoon 1 offered back in the Wii U days - but the sheer weirdness of the 'Underground' is captivating and I can’t seem to pry myself away from solving its ingenious puzzle stages.
Aside from struggling to contain my Octo-induced rage, I think it's time to bite the bullet and give Fortnite a spin; a title that I've been meaning to explore but too chicken to do so. I know it’s going to be an instant sink or swim scenario, but at least I’ll be able to blame my monumental cock-ups on the lack of gyro support…

For me, “another weekend” simply means “another chance to fall hopelessly addicted to Fortnite for hours on end”. I’m holding off until the beginning of Season 5 to grab myself a Battle Pass, but until then I’m happily working my way through each daily challenge that comes along and I’m loving it.
In other news, I specifically remember saying that I was aiming to 100% complete Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Switch about 85,000 Talking Point features ago, and I’m finally getting close to that goal. I just have the last world and a couple of levels from the one before it left to go, so hopefully I can squeeze in a cheeky hour or two and get closer to finishing it off.

With the exception of my bank account, we all agree this was an incredible week of Nintendo Switch releases both at retail and the eShop. My absolute lack of common sense means I picked up all the good stuff and now have no clue how to divide the time to enjoy them properly, mostly because one of these games is none other than the return of Ys to Nintendo hardware. I have no clue if I will be able to complete Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA before Octopath Traveler arrives, but I will sure try my hardest to make it so.
Dom Reseigh-Lincoln, editor
This weekend I'll almost certainly be playing some Paladins, but then again, that's hardly anything new if you've seen my usual ramblings on these Talking Points. Having coughed up for the Battle Pass, I'm now fully down the hero shooter rabbit hole. Please, think of my children.
I'll also be jumping into the closed beta for Arena of Valor, the West-bound MOBA that promises to bring the genre kicking and screaming onto Nintendo Switch. Look out for my hands-on preview of it next week on Nintendo Life.

As a Nintendo purist, it's good to finally get to play Crash Bandicoot.
I'll also be checking out what that Fortnite thing is that's going on and maybe some Octo Expansion on the side.
Hyrule warriors on the 5th adventure map now. And maybe harvest moon
Wolfenstein 2 on Switch. I'm a lot more impressed with it than the review on this site led me to believe I would be (not saying reviewer is wrong! Just difference in opinion).
Also Golf Story and still plugging away on the wonderful Dragon Quest VII on 3DS, about 90 hours in now.
Wolfenstein 2 on Switch for me with a chance of Fortnite and Rocket League.
On the PC side there will be more of the same - PUBG and Dota 2.
PS3 I may go hunt some trophies but I think I'll probably stick with Wolfenstein 2 on Switch primarily for the time being.
Joe Dever's Lone Wolf. It's like an interactive fantasy novel. Bought it on sale and so far I'm happy with it.
Mansions of Madness, Crawl, Wolfenstein The New Order, and probably a bit of Mario Tennis Aces.
Crash bandicoot (if the Mrs will let me have a go)! Also managed to get hold of Kirby Star Allies, very rarely seemed to be in stock in my area! More than likely spend a bit of time with Paladins too!
1. Animal Crossing New Leaf 3DS
Date & Time Maintenance as usual.
2. Miitopia 3DS
Still leveling up some Miis.
3. Minna no Doubutsuen NDS
Keep continue the storyline.
4. Harvest Moon Magical Melody Gamecube
Continue my Post game progress. I played as a Girl farmer, got married with 3 Handsome Boys , Have 4 Different Save Datas (1 is for Before get Married, 3 are for each Boys). I married with Blue, Basil and Kurt. They are so Cute in Chibi form.
Mario Tennis and DK Rabbids
Mario tennis aces and get angry every time I lose
Lumines, until my ears fall off.
DOOM has just literally dropped through my letter box, so I'll be skating demons all weekend (along with finally reaching level 60 Splatoon.) Had to archive software to download big updates for Doom. Is it just the multiplayer?
A weekend of shooting for me! Wolf 2 is fantastic so far (3 levels in), and some more Fortnite (3 levels to go, to get all the goodies I want out of this battle pass, and pay for the next!), and some Paladins (which i refuse to buy the pass for, since i bought the founders pack and feel it should've been included. Maybe next one). Otherwise some Slay the Spire on my work laptop when no one is looking. I dream of that darn game now.
Definitely a bit of Flashback. Am enjoying it immensely the second time around, it truly is a classic. I am also most likely to download D/Generation, another Amiga great. And, of course, Isaac. 😊 Eight hard completion marks with the Lost now, so am focussing on Mega Satan. 510 hours now... 😅 I wonder if the time played statistic goes over 999...
Crash, Crash, Crash, Crash!!!!!! If I feel like playing another game for some reason, that'll be Hollow Knight, but only if.
@SUBTERRANEANguy Originally it was, but theres been a couple of patches that improve performance and add gyro aiming now.
@PhilKenSebben Ah, no probs, thanks. It's a big hour and a half update, and I just really want to play few hrs before the World Cup last 16 start! Lol. I'll prob try the multiplayer anyway, but I'm guessing the 'community' on switch is dead as Hector...
Switch:
Splatoon 2
Overcoocked
Considering buying wolfenstein as im loving the gyro aiming with splatoon 2
Ps4:
God of war
Playing crash bandicoot, blazeblue crosstag battle and the new Donkey Kong dlc for Mario Rabbid
Gonna be playing more Yoku’s island express. The game is amazing and so addictive. Will also shoehorn some Doom in. Really want wolfenstein 2
I'm playing Mario + Rabbids DK extension and then a bit of tennis just to finish the evening killing some Nazis !
I'll be playing plenty of Mario Tennis Aces, love it. I'll sneak in some Gunbird 2 and Donkey Kong Arcade during half time of the football. I also hope to finish off Outlast so I can get stuck into Outlast 2.
Crash Bandicoot! 👌
Disgaea 2 on PC. Love it
Crash, Lumines, and at some point I gotta finish off the last little bit of Blossom Tales
Ys VIII has me hooked. Everything else is on hold for now.
Want to complete Flashback and continue playing Crash Bandicoot our in the beer garden!
I've just started the Champion's Ballad DLC, so I'll continue with that. I'd forgotten how beautiful BoTW looks.
Otherwise, I'll be out enjoying the summer weather, which is remarkable in actually being present this year. Although it's baked the clay soils round here hard as concrete so archaeology is difficult.
Wolfenstein 2! I absolutely love the Switch version!
Request for feedback: i am considering buying new switch games. I have made a top four which game i want to buy:
1. Bayonetta 2 (Never played before)
2. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (Only played DK on the SNES:P)
3. Xenoblade 2( but i hate automatic attacking)
4. YS VIII ( i loved the YS seven on the PSP and YS Memories of celceta on PS vita)
Which one would you choose?
I'll be playing Fortnite, and the megaman collection 1 & 2. Wanted Wolfenstein, but don't have the cash to pick it up yet.
Aces for sure, now that I love swing mode. Then I’ll bounce around between Fortnite, Mario 64, and Pokémon TCG.
@Sanquine I’d grab DK if you liked the SNES
Paladins, Fortnite and a bit of Mario Kart
Ive got quite a bit to work on this weekend. I believe I’m nearly done with the DK Adventure of Mario and Rabbids. It’s a bit easier than the main campaign, but I’m enjoying the shakeups to the gameplay that DK brings. I’m clawing my way through the first of the three games in the Crash Bandicoot trilogy. Man, they weren’t kidding about the difficulty. And finally, I’m playing some rounds of Mario Tennis Aces with friends I’ve invited over (I’m still too inexperienced and afraid to try my luck online).
Other than that, I hope to sink my teeth into more Rocket League and Fortnite, as I finally seem to be getting the hang of both those games to a respectable degree.
I’ll be trying to complete Kirby Star Allies this weekend.
This weekend is all about Demon front !
Run and gun heaven with beautiful artstyle and great atmosphere !
If you dunno this game Ihighly recommand it to all of you
DB Xenoverse 2 on Switch and Vanquish on Steam. While waiting for my Hyrule Warriors copy to arrive.
Mostly Fortnite. Even installed it on my MacBook Pro where it will only play on the absolute minimum settings just so my wife can try to play with me!
@HobbitGamer DK TF It is then:) Thanks
A bit more Tropical Freeze as I have finally finished Watch Dogs 2 and also a second run through of Oxenfree to see how it impacts the story. Game only takes 4 hours to finish and is OK but then the ending ties it all together and now I need to play again.
Lumines and finishing Bayonetta 1. Not a great fan of either genres but it goes to show that quality titles can be appreciated outside the comfort zone. And, I don't totally suck at B1! Lumines, now, that's a different story. I can see how this game will drive me mad.
Finals week for summer classes so I probably won't game too much this weekend. However, I'll see if I can slip in a few minutes of the Octopath Traveler demo. Ugh, that game just seems like my dream come true. And hopefully I'll be able to work a bit more on Chrono Trigger, which is similarly amazing.
I'm playing NOTHING this weekend because I'm in full packing mode for a three week vacation. During the vacation however I'll play Hollow Knight maybe a couple of other indies. But I doubt I'll play much because I've got so much other fun stuff planned. One more day of work and then....FREEDOM!!!
Darkest Dungeon, I'm thinking I may tackle the Crimson Court now that I've built up my hamlet to a decent level.
And after the inevitable total party kill, I'll probably dip back into Skyrim as it's been a while.
Game Boy:
Pokemon Red Version - Emerged from the Rock Tunnel and am now making my way to Celadon City.
Windows Phone:
What in the World?
Hitman GO
@Sanquine: I second Tropical Freeze; I absolutely loved the game when I played it on the Wii U.
I got Earthbound in the E3 sale and plan on digging further into it when I can, plus some Hollow Knight and Trails in the Sky the 3rd. Maybe Pokemon Black as well, depending on what's going on.
@Sanquine I would also recommend Tropical Freeze! As for Xenoblade, if you really can't stand auto attacks, you probably won't enjoy it since those are what charge your arts, and for a little while in the game, you don't have the ability to start a battle with an art or arts charged already. If it's not a huge hatred, and you can deal with it for a time, it's worth looking into. But if not, and you're looking to get more than one game, I'd say Ys VIII would be a great complement to Donkey Kong
Spiderman the Movie Game for OG Xbox. Played this on Gamecube as a kid, still love it. Bought the Xbox version recently at a yard sale so I can play it on my 360 with HDMI.
Might play some Pokemon Omega Ruby as well, we'll see. It's going to be an insanely hot and humid weekend here, so I don't see myself wanting to leave the house much.
I have another fairly busy weekend ahead, thankfully mostly indoors; it's supposed to be really hot and humid here this weekend! During my downtime when I'm not visiting the lands of Middle-Earth (I recently started reading through The Lord of the Rings trilogy), I'll be delving back into Ever Oasis on 3DS. Some plot development happened last time, and I suspect if I'd focus more on that versus trying to recruit more residents and manage my oasis, I'd likely have seen the end credits by now. XD I do think I'm getting close to the end.
I'm also still playing through Super Mario RPG on my Wii U. I haven't gotten as many chances to play it this week, unfortunately.
On mobile? I'm still addicted to the occasional bout of Pokemon Shuffle.
DK Dlc of Mario and rabbids kingdom battle - forgot how amazing that game is and some Tennis aces.
Really want Ys VIII but saving money for Octopath traveller and have huge backlog anyway
Going back and forth between the Mario + Rabbids Donkey Kong Adventure expansion and Ys VIII. Good times.
Those will probably be my two Switch games until late September unless Octopath Traveler turns out to be truly remarkable.
Still working through Octo Expansion and playing Splatoon 2 with my friend who just got her own Switch. Also playing Fallout Shelter, Minecraft, a little Hearthstone and.... if it arrives in the mail in time, Crash N. Sane Trilogy. But I had to import it from the US, since it's not out in Japan, and as of a couple days ago, still isn't even listed with a Japanese release date.
I am back on Xenoblade 2. I started Game+. In preparation of Torm. I will be getting Ys but later. At first, I thought X2 was a bit cheesy but now I love it more.
I’ll be playing a grand total of nothin’. It’s my second annual ten week game break, started Wednesday! So I’ll be not commenting on these for about ten weeks. 😛
Everyone have a blessed, safe weekend! 😃
@SUBTERRANEANguy Havent had many issues finding a match personally. Plus theres bots! But you have to be online for em :/
Stardew Valley has consumed me. Finishing year 4 with 6 million+ in the bank. I'm maybe min/maxing to much.
Just hooked up the Dreamcast after moving so Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 and also Paladins- though I need to fix my aiming and sensitivity settings- I really suck at aiming right now. Picked up Crash yesterday so I'll be slowly working my way through all 3 games.
More XB1, not only is it getting closer to those big Master Chief Collection patches but also my Switch isn't coping too well with the heatwave (playing anything sounds like a base PS4 playing Uncharted 4).
Don’t starve switch edition, and a little bit of YS VIII
I'll probably keep going on Sushi Striker but may take some time for Crash.
It'll be erm... Saturday Morning RPG (Happy Saturday!) and Goetia for me. Pondering if I want to purchase something out of my backlog. I feel like getting at least one old school offering of ACA Punch-Out!!, ACA Moon Patrol, FTE JTA Bad Dudes, FTE JTA Super BurgerTime, or ACA 10-Yard Fight.
Kirby Star Allies
A bit of Mario Tennis with the family but mainly Metroid Prime on the GameCube, still surprises me at how well designed this game is and that so few have come close to it's excellence in many ways. Outside of Nintendo I've been playing some games on the good old Colecovision
Iam playing Xenoblade Chronicles II and i hope i will be through the game this weekend
PS4:. CoD: WWII — Want to check out the new maps
Switch:. Fallout Shelter
Xbox One: Sunset Overdrive
I was lucky enough to grab an NES mini and super nes mini when I picked up my copies of Wolfenstein and Crash yesterday so I'll be playing those this weekend along with Crash on switch. I should probably finish Wolfenstein the new order first (PS4) before I start the new colossus though....
Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Miitopia for me!
Played a round of Fortnite.....was doing good until I went back for a better weapon, guy walked in on me I panicked, launched a grenande switched to a hunting rifle and died before I got a shot off even though I seen him well before he seen me.....I'll go back to Splatoon 2 now
A lot of good games this week. Picked up Crash cause that nostalgia is tasty, so definitely playing that.
Also attempting Fortnite for the first time ever. Why? Cause I hate myself.
I must be the only person around 130hrs into Death Road to Canada and still going. Unlocked nearly everything and just trying to finish the expert mode now.
Wishing everyone a fun weekend.
It's mainly going to be a weekend of Fortnite, after the couple of Victory Royales I have had in the past couple of days I am officially hooked. The fact I can bring this version anywhere and even play via my 4G internet on my phone makes it even harder to stop playing.
Wolfenstein!!!
@Sanquine Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Wii U is a masterpiece, and by all accounts it's even better on Switch!
Well, I gotta do my placements for ranked in Overwatch tonight! BTW, I ended out Season 10 in gold w/ a peak SR of 2248.
Skyrim on Switch.
Prey on PS4.
Nothing. As I live in Scotland where it’s uncharachteristically hot and the World Cup is on (and I’m English)
Probably Wolfenstein 2 on my Switch and The Crew 2 on my PS4
Mario Tennis Aces.
Owlboy.
Mantis Burn Racing.
Yoku's Island Express.
I've been spending my day so far with Arena of Valor Beta, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Hollow Knight. Switching between them whenever something frustrates me Crash tends to get the short end of the stick atm, I am absolutely horrendous at it, but it is great fun until I die 25 times in a single level.
All Switch:
Mario Tennis Aces
Phantom Trigger (beat it last night)
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (specifically SFII: The World Champion)
Batman: The Telltale Series
2020 Super Baseball
Probably will mix in some Kart, Oxenfree (second run through), Chromagun and Vs. Super Mario Bros. (but haven’t yet).
Rabi Rabi Puzzle out stories
For Nintendo purists that grew up with only an n64, do yourself a favor and get Crash. The games are very challenging but fair. Some of the best pure platformers from that era and they hold up extremely well.
atelier lydie & suelle
Ys VIII.
@Sanquine Don't worry about auto-attacking. Just do the first auto-attack, then move slightly to reset the first one. Aside from some blade weapon types, this refills up the arts gauge tremendously. Then go find the 0.4 arts recharge pouch items. This makes it so if you have 2 of them, you'll never have to focus on auto-attacking to build up your arts. Also makes doing a full blade combo with one blade, like Pyra, really easy to do by yourself.
Take 3 steps back people. I'm goin all in
Switch
Wolfenstein 2
YS VIII
Crash Bandicoot Trilogy
Mario Tennis Aces
Hollow Knight
GPD Win 2 Handheld
Metroid Prime
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance
DKC Returns (with Tropical Freeze button layout)
Ori and the Blind Forest
Assassins Creed 4
DMC
Alan Wake
Portal 2
Everything on the GPD Win 2 Windows 10 clamshell handheld is running full 720p. Ya. Metroid mother freaking Prime HD Handheld Edition. Welcome to the future.
Picked up ROGUE ACES with the last of the points sitting on my account. Getting my 12 year old daughter into Skyrim.
Wolfenstein 2, Monopoly and Anima, which is a little rough around the edges but enjoying it alot.
"A robot named Fight" (super metroid roguelike) - Switch
and maybe start working on "Hollow Knight"
"Slay the Spire" (great card game), "Iconoclasts"(metroidvania) - PC
@TheMadPolarBear No Crash? But... your profile pic...
@Not_Soos Haha yeah, I've already got every single Trophy on the N.Sane trilogy and I prefer the PS1 originals personally so it's one of the few games I've not repurchased for the Switch.
Also, you like my additions to the profile pic? I'm in the middle of designing a picture for my Youtube/Twitch channels but it's not finished yet. I guess you could call my current pic the prototype.
I got both Wolfenstein 2 and YS VIII this week and to my surprise I can not put YS VIII down. I almost skipped that game because of the negative reviews but oh boy, this game is right up my alley. And sure there are performance drops but noting that has me worried.
Did play some Wolfenstein 2 on Friday and sure compared to the PS4 demo the resolution an image quality suffers but with gyro aiming and the play anywhere Switch advantage I’m happy playing it on this machine.
Wolfenstiggitystizzein for me. Also, Snes mini games and I hate to admit some Fortnite. It's a guilty pleasure for me.
Probably more Splatoon 2, I love that game! I'm only level 5 at the moment but I'm completely outscoring all my higher level teammates in Turf War. I might buy Hollow Knight as well, I've heard nothing but good about it.
My number one will definitely be Immortal Redneck! Definitely a good time whether you have all day, or just a little while to play!
Recently picked up Sine Mora ex been playing Has Been Heroes as well.
@TheMadPolarBear I dig it! Is the top hat/monocle/stache ensemble a reference to Ripper Roo? Also, nice! I borrowed my brother's PS4 to play the trilogy, and 100% completed the first two games. (I'm actually not sure where a couple hidden gem routes are on the third game, and I've been too stubborn to look them up online.)
The Switch version is my first opportunity to own the remaster for myself, and I personally prefer it to the PS1 iterations. You can't go wrong either way though. The Switch is pretty much my go-to system anyways, so I like having Crash on the same system as Zelda and Mario and all that.
Should you decide to repurchase the game someday, know that while the downgrade is notable, especially in lighting, the graphics are honestly surprisingly comparable to the PS4 version. The game also runs beautifully in handheld mode. But perhaps the biggest thing is that the load times are WAAAAAY better on Switch than PS4! I'm talking less than half the time!
Is your channel name the same as your username? If you happen to post clean content, I may have to look it up, as someone who's also looking to get into the YouTube scene.
@Not_Soos It's actually a reference to the British stereotype, since I'm British I thought it would make for a humorous addition.
I may consider purchasing the Switch version after all then, though it's in line behind Kirby Star Allies, Minecraft Switch physical and the physical release of Yooka-Laylee at the moment! Glad to hear the performance of Crash is still up to scratch on the Switch!
And yes, my channel name for both is the same as my username. At the moment my content is all private as I'm trying to build a backlog of video's first to keep ahead of production of videos etc. Once I feel I have enough to keep ahead, I'll slowly release them to a schedule!
Twitch streaming on the other hand is erratic because my PC is not powerful enough to stream games like PUBG efficiently at a stable framerate (i deem anything that drops below 60 unplayable for FPS's on a PC) so I don't plan on committing to that regularly yet until I upgrade my PC later this year! I've yet to find a 'good' way to stream either as it's difficult to talk to people that aren't actually there. You look at all of these big Twitch streamers who've been doing it for years and it's all natural to them, to me it feels weird and unnerving, which doesn't help.
Still, it's a lot of work for a hobby!
@TheMadPolarBear I wouldn't recommend Star Allies. I'm a big Kirby fan, but the game is extremely lackluster, in my opinion. The graphics are fantastic, and I'm glad they brought back being able to combine abilities, but the game is short enough to complete in maybe 5 hours and only another couple to 100% it. It's also mind-numbingly easy. Kirby games have never had that much challenge, but dying feels almost impossible and collectables are few and extremely easy to find. Puzzles also basically solve themself for you. So far it was definitely the most disappointing game of the year for me and it doesn't at all justify the $60 price. I would recommend you at least hold off for a sale.
That's a smart way to handle uploading videos. When I'm in college, I don't particularly have time to record videos, so that could be a good workaround. Unfortunately, my internet speed is pretty atrocious; when I upload a 30-40 minute video, it takes all of two days to finish, and during those two days I can't even watch a video at 420p without buffering. Granted, I've been recording in 1080p, 60FPS, so I guess that takes a lot of Internet speed to process. If I can't find a workaround, I don't really see how I can go far with my YouTube aspirations.
@Not_Soos Really? That's a shame. It was to be my first Kirby game, despite owning all Nintendo consoles and handhelds since the N64 (a crime, i know!). I liked what I played of the demo but i'll take your advice and see if I can find a good price for it.
Yeah, I expect if your College experience is anything like the workload I got when I was at University then I completely understand why. Education first! I'd say just add to video projects of yours overtime bit by bit. It gets easier once you finish education!
That internet speed sounds rough, I guess I got lucky with mine since mine was never that bad at University. It may be a case that your file sizes are somewhat large, in which case you could try compressing the videos to reduce the file size and by extension, the upload time at the cost of some overall quality. Alternatively, you could perhaps try smaller video's to begin with? It may not be possible depending on what your projects are, which I respect.
If not, you could do what I did. I couldn't find the time so instead I opted to just script some videos, plan series and get some clips every so often. That way, you're still making progress bit by bit. On the upside, it gives you plenty of time to edit or review your ideas as well, which you can then tackle easier after College.
Still Hollow knight and Yakuza 0
@TheMadPolarBear If you want to get into Kirby, I would strongly recommend Return to Dream Land for Wii or Kirby Superstar Ultra (the DS remake of the SNES game with additional content). I imagine you could find them for cheap, if not on the Wii U eShop, and you get much more bang for your buck. The 3DS games are also highly praised, and while they're definitely good, they aren't my favorites.
Starting off, I wanted to focus on let's plays, as I don't really have any sort of video editing software to compile more convoluted stuff. Generally, I just like to record lengthier sessions (say, for each video, I complete one World in a game). Not only do I think it makes it easier to keep track of things, but when I'm watching videos I typically prefer longer ones instead of ones broken into several parts. I may have to sacrifice that for practicality, though.
Unfortunately, I don't know the first thing about video compression, and I don't expect you to explain that to me here in the comments, as I'm sure it's a lengthy thing to detail. I may perhaps look into it on my own, though. Thanks!
Edit: If you do know of any good video editing software though, preferably for cheap, please let me know!
Hollow Knight - I heard bunch of good things about the game but I'm surprised how good it actually is. It took couple of hours to get going but now I can't stop playing.
Civilization IV - I was in a mood for Civ so I started a game with my sister. Still like IV the best.
Splatoon 2 - I have to try out the new stage. Might play some story missions too. I bought the Octo Expansion but I want to finish the main story first. I've played over 100 hours online but I just finished world 2 in single player campaign last week.
Pokémon Duel - Really liked it when it came out but dropped it after a month or two because none of my friends played it and the matches started to feel a bit samey. Now there are bunch of new figures and I'm having just as much fun as when I first played if not even more.
Pokémon Shuffle - ~30 main stages left to S rank. Then I'll S rank all the expert stages before going back to UX stages.
Trying out my new Ys XIII, loving it so far, except the graphics are showing it's PS Vita roots, but we'll, still awesome. But I got so many awesome Switch games in the last 2 weeks. Can't recommend Yoku's Island Express enough, this is a true jewel. Also De Blob is much fun on Switch
Still trying to complete the Octo Expansion stuff.
On a trip this weekend and alternating between Wolfenstein II and the Donkey Kong DLC for Mario and Rabbids. Both are extremely good experiences to have on the go
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and of course, Luminus!!
Just finished the main story for Spla2n. Now diving into the Octo Expansion and I'm loving this difficulty so much more, plus I never feel like I have to search every nook and cranny for secrets, which makes everything much better paced! Protecting the Orb from Octolings was a massive pain, though...
EDIT: Collected the four thangs and beat the expansion, but still have a good few levels left. I love that you don't have to clear every level to get to the final boss, unlike Octo Valley. This is definitely the better campaign.
I've been replaying Persona 4 to keep myself occupied this summer vacation. It's actually my first time playing through the Golden expansion and I just beat Ameno-Sagiri, which means the rumored bonus dungeon can't be too far off, so that's quite exciting.
Just picked up a switch last week on a whim, been playing Breath of the Wild pretty much non-stop since. I love this little system! Definitely in a while other league from the Wii U, though a good system in its own right.
@CrimsonMoonMist bit of advice, get your social link up with the new character. As high as you can preferably.
Fire Emblem Warriors
Played botw this last weekend. After about 130 hours I've done all divine beasts and been to every map area (every tower). Keep telling myself it's time for the final boss as i really need to hit my backlog, but then i just get distracted by another quest or intriguing feature of hyrule. What a game!
