Re: Soapbox: Why You Should Consider Catching Big Air With Wii's Excite Truck

@FinalFrog - Nice profile pic - LOVE Cuphead. And I'll definitely check out Munchables if I see it at the store. Never heard of it until today.

@shani - All good, dude!

@Shiryu - Yeah, I played a bunch of Red Steel 2, and it was no doubt a huge improvement. Also, I'll have a look at that RS article and see if it's something that would make sense for NL. If it is, I'll run it by Dom and see what's what.

@thesilverbrick - I prefer the animal bot vehicles in Excitebots over trucks, too. But shh. Don't tell anyone.

@Metroplex360 - Loved reading your post. Thanks for sharing!

@ShikabaneHime13 I did experiment with different foods quite a bit, actually, but it never seemed to make much of a difference. Even when Yo-Kai reacted positively to the food I gave them, they very rarely offered their friendship.

Re: Momonga Pinball Adventures is Flipping Onto Wii U on 15th October

@Spin I agree. I'd also like to see more creative pinball games in the future. It seems like there's so much potential to evolve pinball beyond a simple game of high-score chasing, yet there have been so few attempts to do something new. It would be cool if Zen Studios tried to tackle adventure-style tables in the future. They've done a fantastic job modernizing and adapting pinball for consoles.

Re: Mario Memories: How The Super Mario Bros. 2 Instruction Manual Influenced Me Artistically

@Kirk I completely agree. I hope Nintendo gets more ambitious with its next 2D Mario. There's a lot to learn from the recent Rayman and DKC games when it comes to organic level design and immersive, distinct visuals. I'd love to see similar things done with Mario in the future but with some sort of genuine mechanical evolution.

@Splatburst @Gauchorino Thanks for the compliments!

Re: Review: Fossil Fighters: Frontier (3DS)

@Tops Thanks for the compliment. I'm actually a little bit shocked by how low some other critics are scoring Frontier, but it does back up my point that this game isn't going to be for everyone. Even though it's polished and harmless, there are design choices that will be a huge turnoff for certain types of gamers. I tried my best to convey that in this review.

@BlackSpy You're welcome. I hope you like it!

@Link506 So that really did backfire on ya, huh?

@Sir_Teabag Right on. Are you finding the dialog to be humorous, too? It's not often that I chuckle out loud at a video game, but this one got to me on a few occasions.

Re: Review: Elliot Quest (Wii U eShop)

The lack of direction and communication in this game seriously bothers me, but outside of that, I love it. I just hate having to spend 30 minutes to an hour without a hint of where I need to be headed when there are tons options on the map.

Re: Review: Titan Attacks (3DS eShop)

Maybe it's because I played it right after Resogun, Velocity 2X, Stardust Delta and Geometry Wars 3, but I couldn't get into this game. Nothing about it seemed all that bad, just wasn't the right speed for me at the time. I'd say @moomootown got it right on the money here.

Re: Review: Paparazzi (Wii U eShop)

@Aviator @AlexSora89 Truthfully, I don't know anything about Lady Gaga. I know she has a song that mentions paparazzi in the chorus, but that's about it. Sounds like I missed a prime opportunity for a punny tagline by being out of touch with pop music. Such a shame.
