Re: Reaction: There is a Positive Angle to Nintendo's Splatoon Global Testfire Issues

@dizzy_boy it's too bad you are judging it off one bad server experience. It's actually an excellent game. I had the chance to play one the 3 pervious sessions and apart from 2 mins of initial connection issues globally it was one of the most solid online experiences I have had in a beta. I am sold, and ign reported that the single player is like Mario Galaxy with paint ball gun and they said it is very polished.

Re: Monochroma For Wii U Scrapped Due To Technical Issues

I would be very pissed if I were a backer. It sounds like M$ payed to have it exclusive but maybe that is speculation. M$ has done it in the past. The game does not look technically demanding and other companies successfully ported so this looks like a developer or money thing.

Super lame. Now this garbage is infecting and destroying even RPGs. There's no reason for this, it's just a greedy cashgrab. Thinking of skipping this "incomplete" game now, or waiting for it to go half off maybe to pay for the extra $17 DLC tax.

He says the game is incomplete... But it's 300 hours or more without the DLC. I hope this is not a widespread opinion.

But anyway, that is how the market works. People are supposed to vote with their wallet. If it does not sell, they will not continue to make that sort of DLC. If we support good DLC like Mario Kart hopefully people will support it.

@Yorumi I'm not bent out of shape. Just don't buy the DLC, you are perfectly in your right to do that. But people are now saying they won't buy the game???? That makes no sense. The game is great without the DLC and does not need it. So just support the game. If no one buys the game because they have some DLC then we won't be seeing any more great RPGs on Wii U. I can guarantee. This looks like the best RPG since Xenoblade Wii and one of the best ever so it would be sad to see it suffer in sales.

What would send the message if the DLC is BS is buy the game but no one buys the DLC. That means we love the game but we don't want that BS. That is if the DLC actually sucks. We shall see.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Paid-DLC Details Emerge With Characters, Quests and Skell Unlocks

@Shyguyanonymous But the game has plenty of content without the DLC, the full game is already there (you aren't getting half or 2/3 a game it's 300 hours), and it is a great game without it. So just buy the game. I don't see why people get mad at developers who are making something OPTIONAL. You don't HAVE to complete that content. It is a game not a life mission. People get so OCD about games when they are supposed to be having fun playing them not finishing every single millimeter of content in an already content rich environment.

I am defending Monolith here because they are a solid developer and every game I have played of theirs has been long and full of content. Xenoblade will be as well without the DLC. IF people refuse to buy it because of OPTIONAL DLC then they will say oh we didn't get sales on an amazingly robust RPG so we just won't make any more RPGs on the system. Then who loses. I will buy the game no matter what. I may buy the DLC, I may not that depends on how good it is. I do not think Mario Kart's DLC that Nintendo released was a bad deal at all and Smash I just don't buy costumes.... I don't need them so why waste the money.

@Yorumi I will wait to reserve my judgement till I actually see the length of the DLC quests. It may actually be good content and a lot of it. We don't know yet. Believe me I hate F2P models but I am not sure Monolith would go there full force. We will see. Also, the pricing may be a lot different here. It's not going to be something people need so I guess if you don't like it don't get it... Which is what I was saying.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 24th April

garthvader

@mrGREEK360 I really doubt it will be March 2016. I think it is a Fall or Holiday 2015 release. Monolith said that they were working on localization a long time ago. This is not Nintendo working on the game anyway, it's Monolith and while they are owned by Nintendo, they are not Nintendo. They have a lot more content to translate in this game than most other games and with the actors in mind, having to record different dubs you can understand why there may be a slight delay. I think they will stick to 2015. It's not a realistic option for this game to be 2016, they will lose a lot of faith.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 24th April

@NinjaWaddleDee The combat is great. It's like Xenoblade on Wii but more refined. Just don't go in expecting Devil May Cry or Bayonetta. It's not action, it's still an RPG with real time strategy and there are turns sort of (recharge meters for moves), You switch between characters depending on what skill sets you want to use. It's much more fast paced but it's similar to an MMO combat, I think it's more fluid and deep because it's designed for the single player experience. 4-player co-op is gonna flip it on it's head because your team mates have to make sure they are fulfilling their role. I think it will be awesome.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 24th April

I'm REALLY FEELING IT! I am glad they are giving it a spotlight but now they need to put out advertisements everywhere. Nintendo take note: Movies before the trailers, Commercial TV, YOUTUBE (that's a big one), Gaming websites that are highly trafficked like IGN, gamespot, etc.. , Gamestop (yes as much as I hate to say it, it would sell games probably ). ADVERTISE!!!! Stop making the same mistakes over and over because you have great games.

Re: Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phenomenon, and Nintendo Must Push It For Wii U

garthvader

Nintendo,
You have failed miserably at marketing EVERYTHING. Learn your lesson and start marketing crap, even if it's 3rd party. Help them out and maybe they will support your system. I love the Wii U but you guys have continued to make the same mistake every console: lack of marketing. Wii U is one of my favorite Nintendo systems since the SNES and you guys are blowing it. Figure it out!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D Shows Decent Momentum in Japan as the New 3DS is Overtaken

Nintendo should merge console and handheld as one single badass unit. They are halfway there with the Wii U. All they need to do is figure out how to get a powerhouse in a small box and make the small box dock on a larger gamepad. That would solve their woes of having to split dev teams between 3ds and Wii U and they would have an amazing solution for all territories.

Re: Iwata Remains Positive on the Future of the Wii U and 3DS Systems

garthvader

So why have they not released Pokemon on Wii U yet? are they stupid? I don't know why they are so damn stubburn about releasing games on a platform. People are crying for Metroid, pokeman, whatever...I love Nintendo, My Wii U is amazing but they need to freaking listen sometimes. People want F-Zero, metroid, pokeman, Earthbound.... They will buy them on wii U or get a Wii U for them
