The only thing I hate about this is the damn Chibi art style.. It's the most jarring thing about Federation Force. I actually think playing a Fed troops is an intriguing idea and especially getting to see Samus from a 3rd person perspective but the art style is just ugh...
lol 500 GiB.... who abbreviates it like this?? I see typos all over the presentation with the use of dashes also. Not so convincing and wow that echo effect. Did they even listen to it before posting it?
Most peoples problem with W101 stems from the fact that you have to build up your gauge to draw. If you don't, it doesn't work. You can't just spam drawings thoughtlessly. Keza didn't know this mechanic when she reviewed it for IGN...
I would be more impressed if they took those tools and actually replicated the mario castle rather than generic castle 1, or generic cave one, or generic snowy mountain with gargoyle candle statue 2. It does show promise though let's see it NX!
Also forgot to mention, there was no interaction between mario and the environment. With the puddles in the cave, he would run, stomp and jump and there was not even a ripple in the water. The reflection was nice but no distortion resulting from stepping in the puddles.
@Heiki true true but I am going to guess Zelda will get a summer release hopefully on Wii U. That's my currnet prediction so far, the game did not look early last time we saw it. It looked rather good and the systems seemed solidly in place. I imagine they are adding more stuff to the world, creatures and things.
@Heiki They have already stated t is coming to the Wii U multiple times including straight to the press at E3... That does not mean they won't remaster for NX later.
@blackice85 From what I have read about and seen on playthroughs the Skells pretty much open up the whole world to the player. You can buy fuel tanks to take with you and replenish fuel supply and from what I have seen the fuel can last a decent amount. The ability to keep fuel reserves with you is great. You also have a fast travel option on the gamepad which allows you to instantly travel to areas you have been to. This further allows you to reserve fuel because you can combine skell usage with fast travel to make it very efficient. Monolith seems to have learned a lot from the previous Xenoblade Chronicles.
Please ! This would be amazing, they should start developing the concept for their next big game though... maybe put some of their resources on Zelda but not all.
They were total idiots not to drop the price after the first year. See what it did for the 3DS? Nintendo never learns, even when what they do works, they still can't put 2 and 2 together and apply a successful price drop to another failing system. 3DS WAS going to die just like the Wii U but the drop saved it.
@IceClimbers As of May 16th VGChartz said 9.7 Million and sometimes they lowball numbers so I was hoping it broke 10 mil by now since Splatoon came out. It seems to be moving systems in Japan so I would hope so in the US and Europe as well.
@Peach64 Oh I was talking more about overall console sales Those numbers are great though I wish Nintendo was more forthcoming with western console sales. All I ever hear numbers for are PS4 and XONE
I am glad to see Splatoon is still fighting the good fight. I wish I could see US and EU numbers. They have not posted any in a LONG time. Does anyone know where to find them?
I have never had an issue with warnings or bans even when speaking my opinion on Starfox and the Nintendo E3 direct. Seriously people, language has everything to do with it. Don't curse and voice your opinion being respectful of others and you will have no issues but if you post like you would on IGN forums well, I guess one would get what is expected...
@heyzeus002 Haha Atari 2600 here...I still have the thing. Yea the tree house players showed that it can feel natural and I trust it will. Platinum + Nintendo should play well. Now lets cross our fingers for better textures and models.
@heyzeus002 Well my main complaint is that people are writing it off before they try it. I grew up playing the original star fox so I am VERY familiar with the tradition controls. I played StarFox, StarFox 64, StarFox Assault, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Command and Star Fox 64 3D. I like the idea of aiming with the gamepad because I have mastered the crap out of traditional starfox controls and this will add another layer. I think after a week of playing the game people that opted for the new meathod will like it, as long as the new method is well done. Watching people play the game on E3 and saying it looks uncomfortable is a little nuts because half the editors at E3 can barely play traditional controls. It's painful to watch them demo a game, like watching a 3 year old race mario kart 8 lol. Seriously I have never seen so much struggle rith right analog camera as I do at E3.
It's nice they offer the option as they should but people should try the game AS INTENDED first. People tend to just complain about something if it's a little different because they can't stand change. Thus the Playstation and Xbox essentially having the same controller since PS2....
Learning is a part of life, if you never learn to do something different then you stagnate. Like Splatoon people complained at first but those that adjusted now have superior aiming.
@shaneoh Yea you are right about that. I have played occulus a little bit because my friend develops games on it. He works for the defense industry making tank, helo, and jet simulators so he has a lot of dev. experience. I played a few things he made for occulus and it was cool but I didn't feel full immersion. Promising though but not perfect and I can see where input will be an issue.
@theberrage So true... I mean we ask for Animal Crossing and get Animal MArio Party??? We just had a MArio Party release so why do we need 2 in 1 year? Metroid on the other hand actually looks fun, it's just not the metroid people wanted and the art style s deplorable. Otherwise it looks kinda neat. Mario Tennis instead of Mario Galaxy?? ugh... Don't even get me started.
I actually think VR could possibly be widely accepted in Japan because of the small nature of the living areas. It makes it so there is no need for a TV kinda like how Wii U had some popularity because of its lack of need for a TV. The isolation factor is strange but not for online gaming.
He better not say the same garbage about 4K with NX because NX will come out and f it is 1080p, PS5 and XBOXTwo will come out 1-2 years later and big N will be in the same dilemma...
The muppets were great but I wish they were backed up by decent game offerings not just a bunch of offshoot games. Those type of games would be ok if they were supplementing major entries. I see no need for an animal party game when we just had Mario party released. Why why why?
This game looks like it could have been rendered on a regular DS almost. Metroid prime deserves a better art style. If Xenoblade Chronicles could be rendered on 3ds, so could a legit metroid prime game.
@FunkYoSelf With a lot better textures, way higher resolution, some better geometry and better shaders but yes in a sense it does. I would say closer to the gamecube game though. They have seriously reused assets and they need to do an overhaul on it.
I don't mind the control scheme at all, they should offern an alternative however for those that do. The graphics are a BIG sticking point for me. Star Fox should look next gen like Zelda, mario Kart 8 , Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and MArio 3D World do. And it just does not. It looks like they took Assets from Earlier games and slapped higher Quality texture on them with a few effects and barely increased the Geometry. It's better but not much better.
What the hell is wrong with them?!?!?! They yet again excluded Devils Third, Fast racing Neo, and Fatal frame 5, 2 of which have 2015 release dates and all 3 are slated for 2015. What is wrong with them????
IT was quite bad. I have watched every E3 and this is one of the worst conferences. It wasn't the slowness of the presentation as much as every game announced was Either a mini-game style game: tennis, animal party, etc; or we already knew about it. Starfox looks promising but they really skimped on the graphics a lot. When you look at MArio 3d World and Zelda then you look at Star Fox there is no comparison. Finally They ignored all fans asking for Metroid and F-zero and they ignored all the good looking 3rd party games coming this year...
Lol I haven't had time to try the others yet but I downloaded Soul Axiom, Forbidden Planet, and Forma.8! Typo man looks like a download as well after watching this video.

Didn't they already confirm a standard control option weeks ago?
Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Defends Star Fox Zero's Controls
@Boxmonkey vgcharts say 330k but that does not include digital sales. Not great and less than it deserved. It was a good game.
Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Defends Star Fox Zero's Controls
@Einherjar W101 didn't even have hard controls. People are just flat out lazy today and afraid of change or learning something new.
