Well I just took my switch on a 5 day trip to canada and played it on the airplane or when I was not exploring so I see why it exists. He has a point though. nintendo should let go of 3ds eventually and put all efforts on switch. They should also make it more 3rd party friendly or at least woo 3rd parties to it. They have the money.
If you want the cart, pay for the production. I don't see anything wrong with this. Digital and physical should have had a different cost from the beginning since the consumer provides the storage media. Now they need to do it across rbe board and drop the digital price for all that have a physical release.
@Bender I blame both because Nintendo COULD push them to make one on Switch because it would sell MILLIONS and it would sell CONSOLES. I mean seriously you do see the initiative to make a full new Pokemon on Switch from Nintendo's perspective right???
RELEASE NEW GAMES. How about what everyone has been shouting for. A REAL POKEMON ON SWITCH. I will not buy this just because of that. STOP REUSING CRAP AND MAKE A NEW GAME. Today Nintendo pissed me off period. I don't even play Pokemon But I would buy a NEW one or a NEW Pokken Or a NEW Pokemon Stadium for Switch. Rant over----
Capcom is officially a bunch of idiots then. I plan on getting this because I have not bought street fighter since SNES however I acknowledge the extra content is half asses and this is overpriced. The online may make it worth it though if I ignore the hadocrap
@KIRO You don't NEED one. I have been using mine without a grip other than what nintendo provided. 99% of the time I play it docked or with the standard controller attachment anyway
I did not get it on STEAM yet so yes I will get this on Switch instead. I generally do that to support the platform. I have enough to catch up on steam anyway
I hope people actually support Ubi this time. I supported the hell out of them on the WiiU because they were pretty much the first 3rd party on board and the last one to leave. Say what you want about Ubi but if Nintendo buyers support their games, they will bring more to the system. They also make decent games, if not sometimes a little formulaic but sometimes brilliant.
There is so much unimaginable stupid in his comments. He is a developer and could easily get a dev kit. Also, if you were a developer, should it not be easy as a consumer to know to preorder one??? Preorders are available on Amazon
I don't think the graphics in this game are that demanding. Seems like they just have not done much optimizing. It's not a big deal because the game does not require high resolution but it shows Konami just does not have much talent anymore. Game is still fun though and I am enjoying it.
I would wait for reviews. Besides I have never played a Disgea and wanted to try my hand at the Switch version. Anyone have experience with that game? I figure I give it my money over this one since many have said this is mediocre.
Sam Show 4 was awesome so when my Zelda fest is over I will probably get that. I also think Mr. Shifty looks like a fun game though I will wait for a few reviews to pop up.
@Nintendo_Alski Brighter does not equal better. The object edges and definition are much more refined on the Switch version. I also imagine the new lighting system and full RGB color range has something to do with the difference in colors. The Wii U one looks fuzzy in comparison.
I did not get an e-mail like this and I supported Ubi through all their half- gimped Wii U ports in hopes they would continue support. I even played Watch Dogs on Wii U instead of PC. I would gladly give feedback if given an option. It would start with make ungimped games for Switch now and also include comments such as Beyond Good & Evil 2... I would buy their games on Switch because they are usually decent at least if not a little safe.
@gatorboi352 They are fine. They feel great attached to the system on the go. I have fairly decent sized hands and they do not bother me in the slightest. I did have to get used to the lack of a d-pad but I will probably get a pro controller if I miss it too much. Until then, it is perfectly comfy, especially in portable mode but also in the grips as well.
So far I love the system and have high hopes. I mean I just took Zelda to my girlfriend's for the weekend and played while she was getting ready... a LONG process! AND I did not need a TV and the console fit in my laptop bag. PRICELESS!
@gatorboi352 It's a port and clearly not built with Switch's unique hardware setup in mind. I would expect it. It is also a 1st gen game. Every system has 1st gen growing pains. All this talk about FPS misses the point that the game was for the majority of the time developed as a wii u exclusive and thus coded so. It's also a fantastic game
I think this is just a case of a bad port. Maybe they will patch it but I assume they did not make a whole lot of effort bringing it to switch. Let's see what the Fire Emblem Warriors game looks like. It will probably be better optimized and MAYBE they will fix this one for the US.
@HollowGrapeJ It seems like it has a much better buzz than Wii U. I do think they need to get some more games to it fast though. All in all I am happy with the thing. I took it with me everywhere today in my laptop case in case I got a spare moment to play. It never ran out of batteries. I would like a car charger for it though
@HollowGrapeJ In order for a system to be successful people need to buy it period. Do you want it to flop? Maybe let people that are excited buy it so it can succeed... I bought it because I am on the go ALL THE TIME. I am out doing work in the field and if I ever want to finish a game it may be nice to have a portable console. Let's face it, a portable console is the greatest thing for people that work and travel ALL THE TIME.
@Yasume I just played Zelda Breath of the Wild for an hour on the beach while I had my camera shooting 1 hour long night exposures. Once I press and lock the shutter button there is literally nothing for me to do. So yea there is plenty of reasons to have a Switch. I also can just bring it with me where ever. And yes the screen looks freaking fantastic by the way and it is bright enough.
@A01 Wii U version probably will be 1080p. There are Wii U games out already that are 1080p. This game is from the beginning of a previous generation and it should easily be render-able at 1080p especially since locked at 30 fps. In fact this is why I bet it will be 30fps.
I take all rumors wityh a gigantic grain of salt but I do hope that whatever the tech is, it is handheld based, that will broadcast to a TV (steamlink style) and it is AT LEAST as powerful as a PS4 (IT BETTER BE).
Nintendo needs to get on top of things and release demos before or when the game releases. I don't know why they are so slow to do this. The demo may have curbed some people's opinions about the controls. I thought the game responded and controlled great, and I started playing Star Fox when it originally released on SNES and played EVERY game in the series after that. The controls are challenging but they are fun as hell and really make you focus and LEARN how to play: something most games fail to do nowadays. Starfox Gaurd is also a ton of fun. I just completed the main missions in the game and damn those last 4 levels... I hope this makes sales pick up a little.
Cool concept but the visuals need some serious work. They look very basic (PS2-like) and they animate badly. The other concern is that it looks choppy when there is more than one enemy robot which should NOT be the case with such basic visuals. I loved ICO so I hope the game received a visual bump. Without doing much they could add a cell shaded look in order to make it look more cartoony.
@faint At this point, I would rather have deals and good Nintendo selects than VC games. NOA Nintendo Selects are freaking horrid and there is no excuse not to have the same selection in all countries. None at all.
@gatorboi352 I refuse to pay for internet after I pay for internet. My 40mbps connection is 76$ a month. The only thing I might consider is a really good subscription game but only while I am actively playing it. I have my Sony system and I refuse to pay for their network. I instead just play all my online stuff on PC for free, and it has better graphics and online capability.
@alasdair91 There is no way I will ever build up the coins to buy anything on the new rewards. I got tons of games on the last set of rewards because physical games gave you points too. Not only are the rewards worse but the fact that points expire is pathetic. What if you don't like any of the rewards at the time your coins are active? And you are right the coin exchange rate is borked.
Did you see the price of the Luigi DLC???!!! REally?? 170 Gold coins for an old DLC? It would be one of the few things I don't have on the list and it's absolutely ridiculously priced.
By the time they have something good, my coins will expire. They old program was waaaay better. Nintendo of Europe has better rewards and sales. NOA is horrible.
