I think stores like GameStop and GAME will become more important than ever. As the price of new games increases, especially with the knowledge Nintendo NEVER LOWERS PRICES, pre-owned games will become more necessary than ever.

@SwitchplayerJohn I'm not sure how it worked exactly, but the point of Mass Effect was to transfer your old save to the new game so your story choices would carry over. I don't know if a 360 or PS3 could communicate with a Wii U in that way, and the Need for Speed game came out 6 months after it'd been on other platforms. I don't know what exactly they were expecting...

For the first few years, and then it'll be legacy editions from there on. We've been down this road before.

I like the price, $40, so it's the same as the 3DS version when it was new. I don't like how it's exclusive to Switch 2 when I think the original Switch could handle it easily, and I CERTAINLY don't like the whole "Game-key" part of it. Until it's actually on a cart, I will not buy.

That's the main reason I'd want these game purchasable separately from a subscription service. Games can be added and removed at any given time, and at least a separate digital purchase could ensure some form of preservation.

I had tons of fun with it. It always seemed that no matter how far ahead I got it was always a battle for the finish line. It was chaos, and I had so much fun with it. Definitely considering getting it day one.

I mean, maybe people would still play Pokemon GO and have Niantic would have a higher reputation if they didn't make it so anti-consumer. Making it hard to get ahead, or in some places even play, without microtransactions, repetitive missions, slow updates that don't change the game much when they finally arrive, etc. Oh, and no, I don't see it getting much better under a Saudi company.

Seeing the people here that haven't heard of this kind of makes me feel old. This game was all over the internet. It came out before Undertale, but didn't see the huge wave of success that Undertale had.

I was searching through the eShop randomly the other day, the store is just chock-full of games like this. Games that attempt to trick people into buying the wrong game, games lazily made using AI, or just plain slop. There's like 80 Trading Card Game Shop simulators and none of them are the official one. I understand they're technically not breaking any rules, but quality control has gone FAR out the window. Also it's not JUST the eShop, it's on the PlayStation and Xbox, every storefront now.

I'm not sure if it's confirmed, because info is coming, and being regurgitated, from many sources right now, but I saw the hackers say they're not going to reveal hardly any info from games still in development, just older already released games. If that's any condolence.

Please remember that Level-5 is currently working on 17 games right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they're just using AI for the trailer so they have something to show. In other words, it's just placeholder art, something used heavily in game development already, and will more than likely be removed/updated in the final build.

A fanmade Rom Hack? But think of all the money this will steal from Nintendo! Because they've re-released Pokemon Emerald a countless number of times, and the original cart certainly isn't a ridiculous amount of money. Why, I bet this version will steal fans away from playing the Switch Online version that definitely exists.

@BodkinDQ That's not very fair. Palworld is still consistently hitting 30k daily players on Steam alone, about the same as Gmod. It's definitely not as popular as it was when it came out, but it's certainly not dead yet.

In all seriousness, I hope Nintendo and Pokemon lose this case. Yea, some Pals look like Pokemon. But I could argue some Pokemon look like monsters from other games, like Dragon Quest. Nintendo and Pokemon don't own the idea of a 'monster collecting' game, no matter how much they try to convince us of that.

I see their strategy, wait a year, for Palworld to make money, then sue them for all of it. Bold move.

I don't know if anyone else has already said, or thought, this but, the animals really make me think they were trying to make a Goat Simulator movie instead of a Minecraft movie.

I just really really hope they don't cancel the game. I was heavily addicted to the 3DS release back in the day so I'm really looking forward to this game. But also, with Astro Bot and Sonic x Shadow Generations coming out, I'll have plenty to play this fall.

Amazing job! Simply amazing! It's just mental to me that they managed to stay hard at developing this game for years until it was 100% done. Something that doesn't happen all to often these days.

I'm stuck playing Vampire Survivors on my Switch. I can't stop myself. I should've headed the warnings. Now whenever I blink all I see are gems and coins.

I carry my 3DS around with me all the time. I very rarely get hits anymore. I use my 3DS as a music player and to just kill time at restaurants and wherever. I remember I used to go out and always get at least one Streetpass and it was always exciting to go to crowded areas and see how many you could get. Also you could take it to school with you and try and figure out which student you were Streetpassing all the time. Looking back I think we all took the awesomeness of Streetpass for granted.

I read "Nintendo is adding" and "GBA" separately and almost popped off.

Honestly just give it a year and they'll re-release the game with all the DLC included anyway. Personally though I'll just stick with the classics on SEGA Genesis.

Downloading Meg Mang now. As someone who hasn't had much exposure to the series and hasn't bought any of the games this sounds PERFECT for a newcomer It's essentially $1 per Meg Mang game. You can't beat that!
