Simply put: having less models available does not equate to consumers being given more options.

Don't tell us you're growing the user base and giving your fans more options when you're leaving out an entire market on a system.

And like people have said, this wouldn't be as much of an issue if the original 3DS model were still somewhat practical to find in stores in the U.S., because for the most part, it's not.

Nintendo can wave their XL sales in our faces all they want, but there are still people in their market that do not care for the larger, less-portable size of the XL systems.
