Re: Poll: How Often Do You Trade-In Your Switch Games?

@Gamecuber I was a poor teenager and spent £45 (probably 6 months pocket money!) on it based on the reviews. I then completed it as Mickey on my first go, as Donald on my second go, and in two player on my own on my third go. I took it back to the shop on the same day. Actually traded it in for Lemmings which I got several hundred hours play out of (and unlimited replay value in 2 player) rather than 3 or 4, tops.

I've never really liked any of the 16-bit Disney games. The 8-bit ones were all much better - Lucky Dime Caper, Land of Illusion, Duck Tales, Chip 'n' Dale... all far better platformers than Quackshot, Aladdin, etc. They just didn't look as good.

I last traded a game in in 1994 [Edit: Actually 1992! Blimey] - World of Illusion for the Mega Drive. I was disgusted by how short and easy it was.

I still believe it was a terrible game, but regret ever trading it. Even though I own it twice again now.

I still have every other game I've ever owned.

Re: The Switch Has Overtaken The SNES In Lifetime Hardware Sales

There are two other really impressive numbers not reported here. The first is that in the month leading up to Christmas 2019, the Switch sold 6 million units - twice its nearest rival, the PS4 with 3m. Also, in the week ending 30th Nov, it sold 1.8m. No other console has sold that many in a week for over a decade, and the last consoles to do so were the Wii and DS in 2007/8/9. (Source: vgchartz)

Re: Deals: Nintendo Switch Lite Gets A Black Friday Price Drop (UK)

If you are one of the people that got the Nintendo "magazine" free with various other magazines or from The Hut (if you've ever bought from them or the official Nintendo Store before), then there's a code on the back that'll get you a Lite from Nintendo's store for £179. Or 10% off anything else.
