During Ubisoft Forward today, Ubisoft announced Just Dance 2024 Edition would be launching on the Nintendo Switch on 24th October 2023. Like last year's release, the physical version will come with a code to download the full game.
This new entry will provide players with regular content updates throughout its cycle. There's also functionality with Just Dance 2023 Edition, allowing players with the 2024 edition to play with friends who own last year's game.
The new game will include 40 new songs and universes, here's a small sample of the line up with "many more" to be announced.
“How You Like That” by BLACKPINK
• “Tití Me Preguntó” by Bad Bunny
• “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston
• “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus
• “Sail” by AWOLNATION
• “My Name Is” by D Billions
Each copy of Just Dance 2024 will also come with a 1 month free trial of Just Dance + = the subscription service giving players access to more tracks, perks and in-game events.
To celebrate this announcement, Just Dance 2023 players will also have access to "Sail" by AWOLNATION from 20th June onwards.
Looking forward to the new Just Dance? Comment below.

A 2024 version! The sequel no one expected.
Another scam product from Ubisoft. 🙄
Dance Dance Revolution is still waaay... Much Better than just dance.
The physical version of Just Dance 2024 will be a code-in-box release across the board.
If I ever had any interest in it, that surely would've killed any hype I might have had.
I'm almost certain that's because the "2024 Edition" is just a glorified DLC pack for last year's release.
This needs a Wii version.
Whitney Houston is kind of worth it 🤷♂️.
I guess I don't get the appeal of these games over actual dancing, and listening to what music you want.
If it is just a code in a box, it isn’t a physical version.
@Sisilly_G How'd you do a quote box?
@Agent_P : It's the same as in the forums. Put the word 'quote' in brackets [ ] to open a quote, followed by the quote, and close it by typing
[/quote].
If you wish to attribute a quote to a specific user, then you can type quote=user within the opening brackets. There is no need to repeat the user's name in the closing of the quote.
I hope that made sense.
I haven’t bought the last couple of these for my kids because of the whole “code in the box” thing.
We have three Switches in the house and having the ability to swap games between them is essential for us.
Just Dance works because of its approach. Blame the people who take DDR too seriously and scare off the casuals. (My knee is all kinds of messed up so I can’t play DDR).
2023 Edition is the least I have played a Just Dance game, despite the game having major improvements. I have some trepidations buying this again, especially when 2023 Edition had their staff reportedly working unreasonably long hours to get it out.
@Sisilly_G I've hardly used the forums here, lol. What else can I do? I know of bold and italics, but that's it
@Kienda Can't you use an account just for DDR?
I don´t care about the Ubisoft staff problems.
We like Just Dance. We have the Just Dance Unlimited and play a lot.
We have a Pump-it Up arcade machine here. And it´s just perfect. When we have a lot of people..they prefer Just Dance than Pump-it up, because Just Dance is 6 simultaneous (interactive) people. DDR is a "poor Pump it up". We have DDR too..but Pump it Up is way better!
I don´t know if we need the 2024 version...but...maybe
@Poodlestargenerica I mean, you can still do actual dancing, listen to whatever music you want, and play Just Dance. One doesn't prevent you from doing the other
@Sisilly_G That's what's been confusing about the whole announcement. Last year, they stated the 2023 addition would be the last yearly released game and it would be updated with new tracks when available. The way they're advertising this, it's like it's a whole new game. But maybe that's just for marketing purposes and you're right. Its really just glorified DLC
@UmbreonsPapa Fair enough, but it still feels like a weirdly restrictive game to me.
I'm out if eshop release. Completely pointless!
@Agent_P : I don't know any special tricks. It's all trial and error with me.
Last year's version was also a code in a box.
@ecco6t9
DDR is still waaay... Much fun to play than Just Dance, even on Challenge difficulty.
@Anti-Matter DDR is amazing. I still have my PS2 games and dancing mats that are used from time to time.
However, while I wish they would make more DDR games, Just Dance is the way forward unfortunately. You don’t need any special equipment to play. It’s more accessible for gamers. And so that’s why they will keep going this direction.
