This review and comment section are so refreshing. It's nice to see everyone know what a game is about and be excited for it. I used to scoff at musou games but as I've grown older I'm starting to get it. Sometimes mindless fun is what we're all after Not sure if or when I'll pick this up but it does seem like it's well executed I hope all who are picking it up have a blast!

@Cheez I see what you're saying. The problem is that companies will usually ship what they can get away with. Unfortunately, since everyone loves Pokémon and there are a lot of "casual" fans who don't really care about fit and finish of video games, this is what we get. To be honest. I understand on a rational level that the game isn't as good as it should be from a technical standpoint but when I'm actually playing it most of those concerns melt away and I just have fun. All these people saying "vote with your wallet" don't get it. People ARE voting with their wallet. They want the game and think it's worth the price. You can disagree with that all you want and not purchase it but I, personally, think you are missing out on a good time. I hope gamefreak does better next time but until I stop having fun playing Pokémon games I will continue to purchase them (and 3 copies at that for my family).

Re: Every Nintendo Switch 2 Game-Key Card Release

I'm not saying I will never purchase a game-key card game but it will certainly affect my decision. I always prefer physical. However, if it's a game I want, and no physical version exists I will occasionally pick up a digital release. Additionally, if the digital version is much less expensive (around a quarter of the physical price), I may consider purchasing digital. Game-key cards fall somewhere in the middle for me. I'll treat them as digital games with the benefit that I can sell/gift them when I'm done. I'm not going to be willing to pay as much as for a true physical game, but I might spend a little more than I would have on a digital only game. I really hope that publishers don't exclusively release on game-key cards. Physical media is so important for preservation, and I really hope it doesn't disappear. I'm fine with game-key cards and digital releases existing as long as there are still plenty of true physical games to choose from. It only becomes a big problem for me if this becomes the default and most of the games I want no longer come physically. In an ideal world every game would be available in all three formats. I'm even fine if the publishers pass on the extra cost of the cartridge to me as long as I have a choice.
