Re: New RiME Patch Addresses A Multitude Of Sins On Switch

@brunojenso I suppose that makes sense but I don't have too much sympathy for people who don't educate themselves before making a purchase. It wasn't exactly a secret that Rime was a disaster. Ignorance is not a great excuse. And if one was caught by surprise this time hopefully one would learn to take the 5 minutes to do a bit of research next time one is thinking of buying a game.

@brunojenso I just don't understand that line of thinking. If I purchase a game at a certain cost KNOWING that there are problems with it then I have made the judgement call that I want the game in spite of the problems with it and that TO ME it's worth the money. The games's worth to me shouldn't decrease just because there is a sale sometime later. All games go on sale at some point. People choose to buy games at full price because they want to play them RIGHT NOW! There's nothing wrong with that but it's not productive to be upset when the game inevitably goes on sale. All that being said I'm still not getting this game. Sounds like a total disaster and there's plenty out there on the switch without these sort of problems.

@therealgamer Lucky you for getting to play this on the Wii U. But the fact is that most of us don't have that system. This is my first Nintendo system since N64 and I'm excited to see what all the fuss is about. I preordered from amazon and got both games for less than $50. Seems like a pretty good deal to me!

I'm relatively new to the concept of Nintendo Directs but this one seemed pretty good to a newbie like me. I haven't had a Nintendo Home Console since the 64 and I'm loving my switch! I feel a bit bad for people who owned the wii-u since there are so many ports but for someone like me the ports are welcome!

Re: It's "A Bit Sad" That Switch Isn't More Powerful, Says THQ Nordic

contractcooker

@JaxonH It's not just about price. I'm sure plenty of people would have dropped $400 for a version with significantly more power but the chip simply didn't exist - at least not from NVidia. Nintendo went for the most powerful SoC available at the time in order to ship the system in march. With NVidia's current roadmap I would expect a hardware upgrade within a year that will bring the Switch in striking distance of PS4/Xbone. Of course that will cause some level of fragmentation which is unfortunate but I'm very interested to see how this plays out. If Nintendo offers a decent upgrade incentive it could be a game changer.
