Not a bad guess, paper mario in 2020 and metroid dread in 2021.

I don't own any non-Nintendo consoles (can't afford them), so it would be nice to play something new and outside my usual experiences! Does anyone know if they will port Xbox or PS games?

Phil might have put his switch there to MAKE us think about a collab. Therefore, when it was revealed to be nothing that special, there would be less obviousness about future shelf objects and their foreshadowings.

Alternatively, he put the switch there because it's a shelf, a place where you put things.

I did think about the amiibo paywall but SS seemed to get taxed a lot more for its faults than, say, the mario 3d world port, in NL's review. 3d world got a 10 despite "performance issues in handheld bowsers fury and online", which sound like and can be substantial issues.

SS also deserves credit for the difference in quality between the port and original. Many issues have been resolved and work well (e.g. camera), unlike in other nintendo ports like mario bros u deluxe, which get little alerations.

As for your inflation point, it is correct and something that is a problem. However, SS still deserves a good score, just maybe not a 10.

I enjoyed Yoshi's Island on the 3DS, because it was still genuine, cute, colourful, joyful Yoshi at its core.
Oh, also Mario Party 10 just for the feeling of trouncing CPUs as Bowser.

Oh, sorry. It does make more sense now that I think about it. The only SMB game i have is touch and roll and I haven't played it for years, so I may have forgotten some parts of it.

As I said a few weeks ago, the huge hype surrounding the game and switch sales means that dread could not only easily be a bestseller for the series but pass on some of its popularity to metroid prime 4. This is the metroid series biggest moment.

Are we not going to talk about how the player skipped a third of the level at 0:14? Most likely a test level but I hope skipping is prevented as much as possible in the actual game.

Thanks for the tips. I doesn't really feel good cheating though, so I'll probably just stick at it as you said. Beaten it as mario without any additional power ups, now focusing on doing the same with luigi.

The internet only have themselves to blame, as the article says. Whenever there is an announcement or rumour, it thinks up the most improbable features and it always ends up as a "let down".

Most games shouldn't be $60. Games, while requiring more work, are also becoming much much more popular and therefore neither need to or should stay at $60. Higher demand will easily offset the lower revenue.

They keep updating ultimate to the point I doubt we'll get a new smash bros for YEARS.

Super mario 64, the mario sports and party games (they are still considered the best of their series after all) and banjo tooie should be higher imo. Good to see F-Zero and paper mario getting recognition tho.

Mario rabbids sparks of hope for me (sequel I never knew I needed). Possibly going to do a switcheroo of super Mario party out and mario party superstars in.

And maybe if I have the money, I might bag metroid dread, though I've never really thought about metroid for me (yeah I know...) .

Also, anyone else noticed the higher xbox sales?

Thing I'm surprised about is lack of mk8 and acnh. Great job game builder garage (shame uk didn't get physical release) and miitopia, still in 4th!

Splatoon 2 and maybe finish of that course in mario maker 2 I started 10 months ago.

Might be due to the PlayStation game discounts.

The Nintendo Treehouse afterwards implies these games have been in development for a while and will release soon (fingers crossed for splatoon 3).

Honestly, I think people are just glad that Miis are back. I haven't got it but it does look quite good and unique a RPG as well (and lets not forget the customisation features...).
