Re: Super Mario Maker Developers Talk About the Recent Update and Other Potential "Maker" Games

@TimoteiWest I actually thought of DLC of crossover game themes. Imagine having whole worlds of other games, not just a reskin of Mario. The power-ups will give them new abilities from their games, like a sword power-up and a bow power-up. The themes would change, like the overworld will become Hyrule Field and gain it's music. The underground will become a cave, the ghost house will become a regular dungeon, the water theme will become the Zora's Domain, the airships will become a sky temple, and the castle will become Ganon's castle. The enemies will change, like Piranha Plants becoming Deku Babas, Bowser becoming Ganon, ect.

@Yorumi A small twist? It's a team based shooter with the main goal of the game doesn't involve shooting people. That is unheard of. It's level design in single player is amazing, and the world is quirky and unique. In my opinion, Splatoon is pretty creative. Especially since a game can make millions each year by copying a real-life sport and releasing it over and over again.

The episodes have so much variety. How did they manage to have a game repeat itself for 3 hours. The show would of been perfect for a point and click mystery like the new adventure time game. In fact it seems much to obvious that I can't beleive they didn't make one. I wonder if they had Bill Cypher is in it. I hope when Steven Universe gets games they are good.

Re: Nintendo Expecting Mobile Business To Eclipse Wii And DS Era Profits In Three Years

It's hard to imagine that an indie company created one game, one which I have never heard about or seen besides from the Mario version, is now worth billions. Nearly everyone knows about Nintendo, and nearly everyone has a phone. I think Nintendo can be supremely successful.
I don't think Nintendo will abandoned consoles though. To them it's never been about the money. It's about the fun of making it, and the fun they give other people. Miyamoto said there is less fun when there aren't physical buttons, and that he won't make games for mobile. Also, Nintendo won't be putting much resources into the games, as Dena will be handling most of the technological side of game production.

@LilC On Tumblr, where dank memes thrive, Nintendo is cooler than Sega. If you look at the fandometrics, where it measures popularity, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Splatoon, Fire Emblem, and Super Smash Bros. are all in the top ten games, and no Sega games are. The reason is like you said, dank memes. All of the higher ups in Nintendo are memes. Luigi's Death Stare was a meme. Splatoon's Squid Kid commercial was a meme, and then the Splatoon Miiverse posts became a meme. Same thing with the Smash Miiverse posts. Waluigi was and still is a meme. Photoshoped images of Chrom saying stuff was a meme. Miyamoto and Bowser Jr. was a meme. Pokemon Go is a meme. Nearly anything Nintendo can do will become a meme. Sonic's social media posts do become popular, and Sonic himself is a meme. But that is because they're making fun of him and his fanboys, because of samy clasic sonic fan, mariotehplumber, sonic-for-real-justice and more.
